This episode was spectacular!! The angst was giving and delivering! The rejection from Bai Lang was so bittersweet…
Finally an adult conversation, and I especially like An calling Bai Lang our for the constant interruptions...a trademark in all drama, someone speaking out of turn not letting the other speak, or an inconvenient interruption. Just so glad there was an adult dialog finally!
I love how Jin XunAn got upset when Bai Lang confessed his feelings like that after turning him down in a rather…
I am here for the 10 page review! I was most satisfied to see that final conversation being nearly a 4 minute no cut walk through the city. Taiwan is killing it this year!
I liked #8 for so many good reasons. . .the acting, the lines, the direction the story took us, and the low-boil…
I was just comment how hard it must have been for doing nearly 4 minutes of dialog, navigating the streets. This really shows their acting prowess. And on top of that, a real live adult conversation about having a relationship. The only memorable time for me when I have seen such a shot is the very end of Looking the Movie. They must walk for 4-5 minutes through the early mornings of San Fran until they get to the all night cafe. I love seeing that vibe here!
Your third paragraph is really sad to read in this day and age. I'm actually stunned and find myself surprised,…
I think I have heard at least 3 Thai mixed actors feel that their genetic heritage is a problem for their careers. Certainly Perth deserves lead rolls. Heck, In My Engineer, they make him mute. Despite him speaking 3 languages, I wonder if he has an English accent when he speaks Thai, and that's why they gave him zero lines, and so few lines in KP (though it was was nice just hearing him speak with his accent in KP and CP) It just boggles my mind that hey don't want to more actors who are polyglots. My Tooth Your Love seems to have allowed their Taiwanese actors to dip in and out of English with great effect. Having Bank be able to sing and act in other languages has got to be benefit!
This show had a rough start, but now I want these actors to be given the props and gigs they deserve!
I was not a fan of this show at the beginning, especially the first 3 episodes, which were are all disjointed,…
I can't agree more! The first 3 eps, were too comedic, it didn't know what it wanted to be. Given how sad Yai has been. I do wish we knew how long ago since his mother passed. It feels like 1-2 years(sorry if I missed that fact). It explains so much about how Yai treated his dad and new partner, but also the trust issues he has.
On top of all that, their Fan Service has been great. They are laughing and just having so much fun! I'd love to see them in a series where they are closer to their social media personalities.
Finally, I can't believe I waited this long to listen to ISBANKY sing the opening song. It completely mirrors Yai's sadness. Watching Mos and Bank at Bank's birthday, where Bank tears-up about not getting chances based on his looks/demeanor/genetics was heartbreaking. It makes the OST even more poignant!
I have so much respect for uncle for not taking Milk’s birginity when he was under the influence
Is there a thread going about if Milk or Choco are tops or bottoms? Because I am not sure Milk would be losing his 'birginity' to Uncle. Milk likes to be bossy and in charge! hehe! Ok, I admit it is a creepy topic since they are still acting too much like their formal animal selves, but why not at this point!
If there is any way this show could be more original, I have no idea what it would be. The story is unlike anything…
It is amazing what they have done with a modest budget and small number of actors. The lighting and camera work are great for something that is (currently) YouTube driven. But what I find the most surprising, is just how good the subtitles are. After watching some of the worst subs on IQIYI (Ai Long Nai, Even Sun, etc) I wish they would spend some money, like Viki, and get some subtitle teams going. Viki isn't perfect, but they deserve credit for improving the Subs. Strongberry really nailed the English subs too.
This is the least toxic BL forum I've seen, thank goodness. I haven't seen a single disrespectful or bullying…
I'm not seeing it in this series comments either. BUT I also tend to focus on comments from MDL paying customers. After years of reading YoutTube comments from what must be pre-teen girls who love everything or obvious trolls, I now stick to comments on MDL and try to pay attention to VIP or Verified accounts that comment. That doesn't make it flame free, but I am more willing to have a discussion with someone who has invested in MDL.
I have never rooted so hard for the mains to NOT become a couple. Fah has trust issues, sure. But Sher Next Level! He makes no real effort to assuage his fears. Sher is such an alcoholic too! Almost every scene he is drinking. And its been like this whole series. Dude needs AA and therapy, and to maybe spend some time in jail for assault. These kinds of problems are not going to be resolved in one episode...this is years of therapy. All the other couples get minimum development and when they are on screen, it is all about solving the main's issues. All you supporting characters, drop the mains, cuz they are too toxic. Ping/Tap and Prince/Gear deserve better writing.
In my previous comment I pointed out that the movie Hello Stranger that was mentioned in a conversation between…
I agree, they do drop time hints. Student protests, the movie references, Obama. Champ first semester was a disaster, so he must have changed major second semester, and then won 2 years in a row some awards? Plus Em is now head cheerleader. Does this mean they are now in their third year? I know fans of Slow Burn love this, but it is hard to believe that Name has been sitting at his desk years, Gun/Golf have zero progress forward, and Nan is just now asking his gal pal to be his girlfriend. Is this a BL? Why is the straight guy the only one in a relationship? Are they all sexless all this time? Maybe my college years were more active, but these guys are living in a bubble where time zooms by and they stay the same. I mean, in all these years, no one got a new haircut, much less Nan losing his wig in all those years?!? I so want to love this show, but the anachronisms make it challenging.
because ur making it seem like its the worse show created its not even that bad ive seen worse look at tharntype…
Maybe not Top 10 worst for me, but the point is valid. It SHOULD BE so much better than it is with these actors and the audience expects better writing and editing too.
This is sooo slow! It seems years have passed and no one has gotten a haircut ie lost a wig? The music is tedious, and I can't believe it now has literally been years in college and Golf and Gun are not a thing?!?! And the straight guy gets a girlfriend before anyone else? I mean, these are teenage/early 20's guys. Not a single one of them has had a partner? It must be the wigs.
I'm really loving this show. The main couple is frustrating (in a good way). Bai Langs obliviousness is killing…
The actor playing 'RJ' Michael Chang is killing it. This 23-year-old is breaking hearts with his scene stealing scenes! I am really liking how cheeky he is in episode 6. I may be rooting for them to actually be a couple endgame. How they get there? I dunno!
I don't think so. It was a dream and not while he was awake. The dream was more like therapy and self-talk. And…
Not sure if you are watching Love In The Air, but trigger warnings would have been nice, but info therapy and reporting the crime in it would have had great value. Happens all the time in Western shows, so not sure if Thailand think it’s appropriate.
