I love the pacing of this series. Everything is happening quickly with very little in the way of extraneous scenes or dialogue.Those end-episode gaming scenes are just too cute now. 🥰

Felt Too Short

This episode felt a little too short with quite a bit revealed. Although a little cutesy, at least this J-BL has some oomph to it as well.

That's One Way to Open a Show

OK. I'm hooked. The husband is compelling indeed, but the parents are a real mystery. Really curious to see how this unfolds.

Only Half and Episode

Almost half of this episode was spent rewatching scenes from Episode 1. I hope this waste of time doesn't continue and the story actually moves forward.

Bog Standard BL

Another Thai BL that has nothing new to offer. University students, broken-hearted, hook-up to relationship, only this has a few more NC scenes than usual.

Huh?

There is something very strange going on with the sound in this one. I think I saw somewhere that this has been dubbed. If so, it is a HUGE mistake. If it's supposed to be a comedy, it's not.The opening credits take up three minutes of the run time, and the BTS stuff at the end eats up even more. This one is weird, and not in a good way.

Amusing, but not in a laughing way

The premise is ridiculous; you can see how it's going to go; there are some serious undertones but it feels like the production doesn't take itself seriously, much like the main character, Jin I-Soo. The action scenes are good at least.

Confusing Genre

The gay character has been sidelined quite a bit in this drama - so far (episode 4). I keep thinking I've already watched this drama because in every other scene, I get a sense of déjà vu. It's as though they have pulled scenes from various other dramas and patched them together.To be honest, I'm not sure what they are going for here: a chaebol succession farce, a rom-com, or just something non-too taxing to pass the time. It certainly gives the impression that they weren't sure if they wanted a serious drama or a light one and chose to do both at the same time, which isn't working for me.

Standard Thai Uni Fare

Aside from the fact that the English translator really isn't fluent in English enough to make sense of the dialogue, this is pretty standard, Thai, BL fare. University, engineering department, hazing, secret one-sided love, etc. I'm hoping at least the subtitles improve, because I can already see where the story is going.

Poorly Executed

This fake boyfriend trope is not new, nor does this two-parter offer up anything new. In fact, it is poorly executed. Once again, the party scene that they all admire looks like something put together by children. Sorry, but no matter how low the budget, you can make things look more expensive than they really are. The acting was wooden, and the storyline was choppy with quite a few holes in it.

Filler Time

I can't believe this drama summarised the whole of the first episode at the end of the episode. This is reminiscent of last week's storyline where episode 2 was mostly a recap of episode 1; no original content.

Dating Shows Don't Get Better than this Episode

What can I say? This episode was full of open hearts, good friendships, tears, joy and a lot of men who needed support getting that from their companions. I don't even care about the romantic relationships at this point. The friendships here are what pull at the heart strings.

Another Food-Related BL

But this one comes before a lot of others. They break the 4th wall on this one, but it's in a good way, to be honest. It serves as the only humorous point. We all know where this is going.

Bog Standard Thai BL

This is just what I'd expect from a GMMTV BL production. Boys at university, a little animosity between the couples to start, etc., etc. Bland as I expect the food to be. What is this trend with BLs and food right now?

Still crying

Oh dear. This episode had me in tears, both for the pain and for the love and support that was shown. I love this group so much. I'm sure they will remain friends for a very long time after the show even if none of them find love from it. My heart goes out to two participants in particular.
