Intriguing Start

OK. So this has grabbed my attention. The story is there, the characters are there, the mystery is there, the supernatural is there. The only thing missing is enough light to see the details in certain scenes. I had to turn the lights off and watch it on the big screen; even then, I couldn't quite see certain elements, which I'm pretty sure are crucial to the story.

Idol Chemistry

These two actors continue to give such good chemistry in the "Kiss x Kiss x Kiss" series episodes in which they appear. It's no wonder they have become so popular. Considering how short these episodes are, and the time frame between filming, it is all credit to them that nothing is lost.

Mixed Feelings

This seems to have a higher production value than most, the framework and lighting being an improvement on a lot of Thai productions, the acting seems a little more subdued, too, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh, the ending credits

What a shocker of an ending. The end-credit dance was just so sad, too. I really, really hope this isn't the way the series intends to end things. So don't enjoy unhappy endings.

Cutie Pie 2.0?

This seems so like "Cutie Pie", which I really didn't enjoy. I hope this isn't the same thing. Honestly, though, this isn't great right off the bat.

Yes Please

OK. This is turning out to be a sweet (pun intended) series. Nothing special about the storytelling or tropes nor much originality except when it comes to the production values. Good acting, nice setting, beautiful lighting, and a soft OST that totally fits the vibe. This is how it's done.

Going Strong

Two episodes in, and this is another Thai-BL that seems to be heading in the right direction. Less focussed on romance, so a much more rounded drama.

Captivating

I have no idea why but this series has truly drawn me in. Yes, it is a BL. Yes, it's from Thailand. Yes, we have patients and carers fall in love with each other (in many dramas and films). Nothing about this drama is unique, but somehow it feels fresh, and it's filmed so well, and the acting is a little more laid back than some; nothing feels forced. Each episode has its tension, but it also feels gentle at the same time.I hope this drama continues along the same vein. It's so enjoyable.

Speed Watch Series

This is best watched on 2x speed and, even then, it's hard to get through. Honestly, Yim seems to speak through clenched teeth half the time, and I can't work out why his face seems so darned unnatural, especially when compared to the others.

A Piece of Theatre?

So, this is not your typical storyline, nor typical Thai LGBTQIA production. This feels quite different and, yes, a little theatrical. The mood lighting, use of shadows, background music, all of it felt like I was sitting in a theatre watching a play. Some of the characters felt a little over-exaggerated but were they on a stage, it would make sense. I recognised some of the elements of the story, and I'm keen to see how this progresses.

What is it with Pacing?

And we have the final episode where everything is quickly resolved in one neat little scene. This is a short drama, but it was slow to start and then quickly ended, which seems to be how short dramas run, but I'd rather there was as much time spent with the conclusion as there is with the build-up. Am I asking too much?

Too slow

It shouldn't have taken this long to get to the crux of the story. The two male leads are virtually carrying this drama on their own, and doing a very good job of it. I've not encountered either of them before, but I am curious to check out their other work now.I'm still not used to the overexposed flashback scenes, but the rest of the colouring is good. There is use of different camera angles in this drama which sets it apart from the usual K-BLs, too.

The Wait is Over

We finally have an explanation. Their history is revealed and we understand what went wrong. I'm sure there is more to it, but I can wait. Shin Jeon-You looks extraordinarily like the Ban Dang-Wook of the manhwa. He and Woo Ji-Han are giving chemistry, even when they soften towards each other. The eyes have it and you could cut it with a knife it's that palpable. The supporting characters, including the two main ones, don't seem to be terribly developed, but given the short nature of the series, and the episodes, this is understandable. I mean, I don't understand how Ban Dang-Wook says he has no friends on campus, but somehow he chats to the basketball coach revealing personal information.

Better than Episode 1

Now, this has my attention. The tension between the two MLs is now palpable and we have a little bit of the backstory (albeit different from their origins in the manhwa). Let's see how this goes.

An inauspecious start

I know the premise of this drama, having read through some chapters of the manhua, so I'm curious to see how this progresses. That said, this was not a spectacular start for a short drama series with 15-minute episodes. It really needs to grab the viewer's attention from the opening frame, but it failed to do so.
