Title Silent
Man I just feel so bad for the characters. First poor Tsumogi. Sou dumped her when she did nothing wrong and now she's being dumped one more time for doing nothing again. I really don't know how she's handling everything. Minato as well is pitful. I know his attitude is super selfish I kind hated how he reacted to everything) but I also understand. For him, he and Tsumogi would never have something special, a bond, as she had with Sou. Yeah in the end it's his own insecurities that it's eating him up but I feel kind bad as we all know he really likes her. And Sou, who almost was pushed to this whole situation, is also suffering because these two people are too important for him and now he thinks it's all his fault. I really don't know how the characters will putt everything behind and still be friends because man, it's awkward.

Now with the break up I'm curious to see what will happens next. I got to say that I didn't like this Tsumogi × Minato thing (I wished they focused more on Sou) and I'm worried how they will make Tsumogi like Sou again without making everything too fast.
Maybe some time will pass?

Was the SFL's behavior as backstabbing as it was in the Korean version? I couldn't stand the things she did in…
You’re welcome!! I still recommend this version tho as it’s shorter and better than the korean version in my opinion. But I do agree with your view about her friend.

Omg the angst is real for the next episodes! All characters are pitiful here. First we have Minato. It seems like his relationship with Tsumogi was already dragging on but he put up with everything because he liked her a lot and didn't want to hurt her. But I think he always felt a wall between the two of them. The truth is that Minato knows that many of Tsumogi’s tastes and personality have a connection with Sou and now, with Sou’s return, he has realized that the "right" person for Tsumogi it’s not him and he can put Tsumogi in the hands of someone he also loves. He of course will suffer a lot of this because it’s about his best friend and the girl he likes. I just didn’t like how he handled this situation. It looked like he just gave up and put everything on Sou’s shoulders.

Tsumogi will be completely confused by all this and it's extremely plausible. On the one hand we have Sou, her past love, someone which she shared many hobbies. They were so in love but this love came to an end too abruptly and seemed like she never forgot about this. It’s like Sou’s soul was always with her. On the other we have Minato, a friend who always stayed by her side and who became her new reason to smile, but still, seems like she cannot connect 100% with him. She’s also not that happy with him, although she wants to believe that because she doesn’t want to hurt him. But I believe that later on, Tsumogi will realize all of this, although at the moment she believes she loves Minato romantically.

and finally we have Sou. A person who didn't ask for any of this to happen but unfortunately we can't control our feelings. I can’t imagine the guilt he will feel for being between the relationship of two people he loves. And it's even worse because he thinks he's inferior and not worthy of Tsumogi’s love just because he can't hear. How much this character will suffer? I can’t 😭

But I’m really looking forward to seeing how all of this will unfold. I think Tsumogi and Sou will take a time to accept their feelings and idk but looks like her brother won’t accept her relationship with Sou that well.

You mean the main female lead friend? If it is, unfortunately she still is annoying.

HIRANO SHOOOOOO 😭 He’s so good! I always loved him but he impressed me even more here. In general I liked the first ep. I never watched Yamapi’s version so I can’t say if it’s the same or different, better or bad, but for now I enjoyed it! Excited for the next ones!

Title Nobuta wo Produce Spoiler
This drama could’ve been easily ruined if they put a love triangle between the characters, i’m glad it didn’t happen (although sometimes seemed like Nobuta liked Shuji).

The friendship between the characters was really nice but for me Shuji and Akira were totally a scene stealer. Nobuta wasn’t bad but not that captivating as the others. She was a important character tho, as it’s because of her that the friendship between them it’s made. Shuji was a character that I identified myself a lot and I liked how observant and smart he was, especially about his view of how society works. Akira was my fav of the three of them. I loved his goofiness side and besides doing weird and crazy things, he was just so sweet with everyone, even with the ones who didn’t care for him. For me he also was the one who tried to make Nobuta happy the most. His “Nobuta Power~” was really sweet and in a way become a symbol of strength for not just Nobuta for but all of them. It’s a shame that sometimes looked like the writers cared more for Shuji and Nobuta. But Yamapi was really good in this role!

The only thing I didn’t like that much is that I wished they focused a little more in the characters itself because they could’ve grown a little more. Nobuta was a “weird” girl with an awful posture in most of the drama, only changing a little more in the last 2 episodes, and yes, she become less shy in the end. Shuji was a character that cared too much about people and only started to look up more for the right people in the last episodes. In the end, he still was the popular guy surrounded by everyone. Akira still was the crazy guy and that’s it. But one thing I liked about the last episode it’s that both Shuji and Akira teamed up to help Nobuta and when she finally “grow”, she could live without their helps.

So yeah. It’s not a perfect drama but it’s enjoyable and do have their charms. Some values shared by Shuji’s thoughts were really interesting and the friendship between the characters it’s really moving. Akira it’s also one of the most fun and charismatic characters i’ve seen.

Really good first episode! I’m curious to see what will happen next. This one and Silent will probably be my fav dramas from now.

PS: Yamada amazed me here! He’s really born to be famous. Good at singing, dancing and acting.

I was really excited for this drama and now after EP1 i’m even more excited. Ending scene was so 😭😭😭 Megure Ren surprised me a lot. We can already feel good chemistry between the leads and the cinematography and story is really beautiful.

Wait for EP2 will be a torture 😭
On She Was Pretty Oct 11, 2022
If you didn’t like the korean version I really recommend you to try this one! Surprised me positively!

First, both main leads are way better than the korean version. ML is a little arrogant in the beginning but he grows fast in the story. It doesn't take long for us to accept him. For me he was more sweet. FML is also likeable, especially because the actress is good, she doesn’t overreact too much (which I liked because in the k-version the actress is just the worst). Also, maybe an unpopular opinion but SML is more likeable here. For me he was too much of a dork and crazy in the k-version. Here he still is a little crazy but he doesn’t overreact in an annoying way.

The main couple has some cute scenes and they have a good chemistry together. The end was a little rushed but satisfying. I think the only thing I didn’t liked that much was the SML ending, it was a little bittersweet. 😭

In general I think this version is way better than the korean one! 10 episodes was the best (maybe with more only 1 to close things nicely) but I’m satisfied.

PS: It’s funny how Kento is always playing this kind of tsundere character 😂 but I really enjoyed him here! He was cute! I also liked FML a lot! Good actress.

Title Cheer Up
SML is a little annoying and at least for now he has no resonable purpose to be in the story (only to be between the 2 main leads) but I think he will become fun later because he do have some cute moments, especially in EP2, his smile is really cute.

I’m loving FL btw! She’s really easy to like. I thought ML would be the too arrogant type but i’m glad he isn’t. He’s actually the serious, introvert type with a mature side, so yeah i’m also liking him. He and FL are a great pairing. Really different from each other but they match.

I’m curious to see how the story will go and as there’s a lot of secondary characters I hope a lot of couples will be formed.

Title Hana-Kimi
I didn’t want to watch Hana Kimi because I watched the korean version (To the Beautiful You) and I had the biggest 2nd lead syndrome ever but I decided to start this version for Oguri Shun. Making comparatives between the two versions, this one is definitely better than the korean version. To the beautiful you had a lot of dramatic scenes that it was really unnecessary and here we have more focus on the boys in the school and it’s more like a fun and comic drama. So yeah I liked this one better.

The only thing is that I still had the biggest 2nd lead syndrome ever. I had to force myself to like Sano because for me he was just a meh character with only a few scenes that I really liked. I didn’t hate him only because the actor was Oguri Shun so he made the character more attractive to me. Of course it’s not Oguri’s fault, he’s a good actor and I love him, it’s just that the character isn’t that good. Usually I love the tsundere type but this one didn’t worked well for me lol

I can't say I shipped wrong tho because I think the main characters fit each other, but it’s clear that Nakatsu shined more. The actor is excellent and made the character even more fun. He ended up standing out more for bringing everything I like in a character: he's clumsy, cute, fun, sincere and a good friend. I can't help but feel a bitter taste seeing Nakatsu being ignored in the end.

But well in general, until now, I think that all actors were fine in their characters, especially those who had a more comic content. When I finish I’ll come back and talk about my final thoughts.

Title Nagi's Long Vacation Spoiler
Japan is really good with slice of lifes, this one just become one of my favs Jdramas! Every character is just…
The only thing I wished it was made differently is how about everyone just went to separate ways. I mean, I know they had to move out but it looked like all these friends that Nagi made just ended there and the only person that still was on her side was Sakamato-san. Idk I just wished we could have seen one scene showing that all of them still maintain contact with each other :( but I guess the idea of the drama was to show how some people are important for our grown and not necessarily they will be part of our lifes forever. Somethings are really temporary.

PS: Also I liked that she chose herself but I would love if she would’ve choose Gon too 😭

Japan is really good with slice of lifes, this one just become one of my favs Jdramas! Every character is just so good and all of them were important to the main lead grown. They also grown a lot in the process. I read some comments about Shinji x Gon-san and particularly I prefered Gon. For me he was the sweetest and a good person to be around. No spoiler but the end was really the most realistic one. I would’ve done differently but I liked. Only one thing bothered me, I will speak more below.

But if you’re thinking about starting this drama I definitely recommend! The main theme is about personal love and grown. You won’t regret.

OST is very good, it just gives you this nostalgic feeling that makes you feel like you’re inside the story. Both main leads have a really good chemistry together too and we can really feel their emotions but be prepared, althought the drama is charming, it’s a rollercoster. Teppei is the worst boyfriend ever (ik he’s human and can make mistakes but it’s too much), and Riko doesn’t know what space is. I pityed her later in the story but she was too possessive and annoying with Teppei. I expected more about the ending as well.

In general, a nice classic story but not the best work for Kimura. 7/10

FL is really annoying, I know she’s like this because of her past but the way she treats ML is just too much sometimes. But I like how things are different here. We have a strong FL who can be annoying and cold, and a ML who is sweet and caring. Also the children here are just adorable. I’m only in EP5 tho. Let’s see how things will turn up later.

Ok, based on what the room leader said, BM is definitely more than one person, more like a corporation. But I don’t think the room leader is BM itself. I’m guessing that the leader and the person who create the name BM is Jerry. I mean ok, he actually could be just a person helping BM but he survived just for that? We can see that he’s someone important based on the call he received so the writers is hiding everything about him just to make him only a BM’s right hand? I mean, it would have 0 impact to introduce him only as BM’s helper after introducing the BM itself (if it’s really the room leader). So I think Jerry being BM is more plausible.
But, I do think Changho’s friend is also suspect. He can actually be BM itself or just like the others, a person who is only helping BM.

If we think about it, I think BM is more like a bunch of people who wants revenge.

I don't think it's that they are not considered cute or good-looking enough. Remember in the first episode Changyu…
It makes sense. But we can also say it’s about looks because Changmin isn’t the only “masculine” men in the house. I think that his appearance and his height really gains attention.

Liking until now! Jongsuk is killing and his scenes in jail are my favorites. Yoona’s character is also really nice. Talking about BM, for me we have 3 big suspects for now:

- Jerry: I wasn’t thinking about him before but now it really make sense. Could he be only a stupid character that helps ML? Yeah. But I don’t know…the rat tattoo, the loyalty to BM..everything about him is a little off. The thing is, if it’s him how he put the money in the wall? I think he probably knows someone close to ML (maybe Soon Tae?)
- Soon Tae or FML’s father: something about them seem off as well. And for the money to be found in the walls, it must be someone close enough to ML to put there and no one realize so I think it can be one of them or they helped BM.

Or…it can be someone else like maybe one of the guards? Because I think it can be someone who is in jail as well. I know we have some theories about ML being the BM but I really doubt. I mean, I would LOVE if it was him but his romance with FML make me think otherwise. If he is the BM, his romance with her would literally end because I don’t think she could ever forgive him for this. So yeah, I doubt he’s the BM.
