Don’t know how to feel about this Babi’s issue with Yumi. Well, just because you noticed or cared for someone, it doesn’t mean you are interested romantically in that person. Or ok, even if you do got interested momentarily, you think that person is cute or whatever, you can choose what you want to do about this. And I think Babi understood clearly what he was feeling and moved out because he cared for Yumi and didn’t want make something that could ruin their relationship. If it was me, I would probably give a time for both of us think more about this. But I understand Yumi and she did what what what right for her. She put herself on #1 spot and I loved that. And I think his biggest make was that he wasn’t sincere with Yumi. This made her doubt him even more. She already have trust issues as she was betrayed before and even if he hasn’t really cheated on her, the thought about him being interested in someone else can make her doubt him already so the relationship wouln’t really work. And, if we think about this more, this is already the second time Babi is doing this. S1 he had a girlfriend before when he was making a move on Yumi (their relationship was in bad terms but still), and now even everything being good with Yumi he felt something for another girl. He will being interested in someone everytime he’s dating? lol Wish we could see more Babi’s cells as we see Yumi’s and Woong’s because it’s really hard to understand him as a character and this make him look fake or less human.
About Woong, I really don’t see her ending up with him, I mean, she doesn’t like him anymore and even after seeing him, she just seems fine and not anxious at all. I really like him and everything that made him and her not work out in S1 is already resolved but I don’t see a good timing for them to being together. It would be super forced as she already moved on and only 4 episodes is too little to make her fall for him again and marry him. PS: Woong’s cells is sooo cute 😭
About Yumi: I know the drama is more focused on Yumi’s relationship but I really wanted to see her grown. In some ways she is more mature as she decided to become a writer or to put herself in #1 spot but she has the same trust issues she had in S1 and she’s really insecure about little things so I wish we could see a little grown about this. Also her attitudes are a little immature for her age. For example in EP9, I know Control Z is annoying but she could have been nicer with him instead of acting like him. I’m glad she changed in EP10 tho, loved her there. After the break out, she seems more mature. Let’s see what will happen next.
Babi being easily swayed by Daeun is so dumb seriously. I know he couldn’t be that perfect but this is clearly forced for us to hate him. It’s really annoying how the writer made him a character that we all would fall in love, just for making him the worst later. Because if he is being swayed that easily just because another pretty girl said she liked him, he’s the worst guy ever and he can’t be in a serious relationship.
But I don’t know it’s just so odd. If Yumi isn’t going to end with Babi why they gave Soonrok’s scenes in the webtoon for him? Maybe they doing all this thing with Babi and Daeun just for drama but he will wake up and he will be with Yumi in the end. But if this isn’t this case I’m worried because until now we don’t know who will be Soonrok and we don’t know about a S3 as well so they will literally end S2 making us completly clueless? Ugh. So frustrating. But I guess we will have to wait
About vegaspete: I liked the changes in their scenes (they removed all the sexual harassment scenes) and I think that even with poor development, it was still possible to understand Vegas as a character. BUT, the couple development is really bad.
First, I know Pete is a empathic character and he saw how Vegas really is + he pitted Vegas for being lonely at the moment but little has been shown FOR US AS A VIEWER, so it's hard to accept his decision, we just have to force everything trying to understand him. I had a hard time trying to undestand him in the novel, so imagine here in the serie with this poor development. In a way it looked like a stockholm syndrome.
Second: Vegas saying he saw in the eyes of Pete that he likes it when Vegas is angry it was so??? because again, it wasn't shown enough to us. And saying this after the episode that Pete was tortured was really problematic, seriously. We should have had more scenes of them before this to understand this side of Pete. Putting this after last episode can make some people even think he liked the tortures which obviously, he did not.
So yeah the development of VegasPete is super rushed and this is really a problem because they arent a typical couple, they needed more screen time for us to understand them better as a couple and as a character.
I still like VegasPete much better here in the series compared to the novel tho, I hated the SA scenes there.
PS: I expected more from the sex scenes of them, it was very rushed, cloudy, kind of weird?? idk the kissing part was really good and BuildBible were amazing in general but I expected more I guess, in a way it even looked too cute for me lol

I’m sorry I think I didn’t understand you complety then because you said that it seems like Season 2 will be focused on her old relationships but we had much more scenes of Yumi and Babi here. You sound like you weren’t just talking about the EP5 so it made me confused.
Loved EP5! We could understand Woong better and at the same time this whole ep was really necessary for Woong to move on and grow up. We could also see how mature Yumi is compared to S1, i’m proud of her! I felt a little sad tho, especially because I like Woong but it was a nice close up for their break out. But omg seriously Babi is TOO PERFECT I CANT HANDLE THIS!! He’s like the second lead which never ends up with the girl lol but i’m sure he wil screw up things later. Also I don’t think we will have a season 3. I think this season it’s all about Babi x Woong or fully focused on Babi (which is the guy I think she will be ending up with).
Talking more about Babi, seriously he is my ideal of perfect guy. Handsome, straightforward, cute, knows how to cook, likes to read. When he said “If a man's trust in his girlfriend is strong, the ex-boyfriend has absolutely no power over her”, he really got me like 100%. I know he can’t be THAT perfect of course because it would be unreal but no matter what, i’m already in this Babi ship. I think it will be really difficult for me not want him to end up with Yumi, but let’s see.
I don’t understand some comments here. It’s a remake…so obviously some things it’s going be the same as the original. But actually I feel they tried to change some things and make more “Korean”, as the personality of the characters and also the North x South Korea thing. If you are going to like this changes is up to you but for me it’s fine as I wasn’t fan of the original version anyway. Talking about this, I’m not a fan of the original version, I find most of the characters annoying and the plot was only good in season1, but i’m trying to give this a chance as I really like the actors. For me the serie itself it’s not that great so I also don’t expect much here but the actors until now are good in their characters. Only watched EP1 tho.
PS: I think people that love the Spanish version won’t like this one that much. Maybe only people who didn’t like or dropped the Spanish version, could be able to enjoy this one a little more.
Really enjoyed it, more than I thought! Main leads are perfect in their role and their chemistry is on point too. Mudeok was made for Somin and omg Jaekook really surprised me here. He’s really natural in the character and his acting is also a good point. I don’t know how well the acting for the others characters will be (especially Minhyun who seems a little stiff) but the plot is interesting and the characters are also good. I’m little worried because it’s going to be 30 episodes but let’s hope it won’t drag. Now I can’t wait for episode 3!
PS: I think this drama is perfect for the general public, especially the ones who doesn’t enjoy political scenarios or too heavy dramas. Here we have a good mix of good fighting scenes and serious moments but with also funny moments.

3. Babi or Woong? Well thinking about Yumi’s personality and perspective: I think Babi is better. Woong was a good boyfriend and in general I like him, but Yumi is a reserved girl who tends to not speak what is in her mind, so she need someone opposite to her for the relationship to work out. Woong or Yumi needed to change (or grow) the way they deal with relationships for their relationship to work out and neither of them was up to this change. So thinking about Yumi’s perspective and personality, she need someone more direct and open as Babi.
4. Woong friendship with Yumi could look nice. In the teaser seemed like he wanted another chance but I really hope it’s not this because it would make the character a pain in the ass.
1. Oh boy VegasPete story is really rushed. Their story really needed more focus, as the characters are really complex. But well, for me it doesn’t change that much because I’m not a fan of them anyway since the novel. Bible and Build are amazing in the characters tho. Really good actors! Also liked how they used red and green in the secret room. Really intelligent move from the directors.
2. Kim being ignorant with Porschay doesn’t make sense. I know he never said he liked Porchay but his attitude was odd. Seemed like the writers wanted to create a drama between them.
3. Vegas sending the message prentending to be Pete and calling Pete’s grandma was a good way to make Kinn forgetting about Pete less dumb. I still found a little forced that Porsche belived everything that fast but it was more plausible than the novel.
4. KinnPorsche being a domestic couple ugh, their chemistry is insane! The helicopter scene was really cute (and also hot) but I have to say…in the novel Porsche’s birthday scene was waay better. I really hope we have at least Kinn declaring his feelings and asking Porsche to be officially his boyfriend in the next episode. But I think we will have the pool scene between kinnporsche in the next ep too. Excited!
5. I don’t see how they will finish everything about Porsche’s family with only 3 episodes…or they will really rush or they will let this for the Season 2.
Their torture scenes in the novel it’s basically rape scenes with also a lot of beating.
Yeah they changed the sexual abuse scenes and put in the serie more psychical torture like beating. Still awful of course but in the novel was way worse, mainly because it’s more focused on them and Vegas feels pleasure while raping Pete.
I’m sorry to disappoint you but they probably will end up together.
Interesting to see that her visions about the future is just a part of it and it can be even influenced indirectly by her. I understand her fears now about not trusting her own visions but we have only more 4 episodes, main leads just got together, and instead of having a lot of scenes of them together, we had a bunch of scenes of her and SL (which I found a really annoying character). So yeah I was expecting to see a more interaction between main lead now that they got together :/ i’m also thinking that the last epidodes can be a little rushed. Seemed like the story just began now and it’s already ending lol but let’s see.
Excited for the new episodes!!! If u found the first one weak by any case, watch at least until EP4 before droping. For me it got sooo much better after EP3, now I can’t wait for EP7!
I disagree with people saying that Kinn wasn’t sad about Big’s death, for me it was clearly that he was. His smoking scenes just showed that for me, especially because it’s not common to see him smoking. So for that, we can see how much pressure and stress he was feeling. The thing is that the episode itself was really rushed, they wanted to close Tawan’s arc, make Kinn and Porsche come back together and begin VegasPete arc so we didn’t have that much of focus about Big’s death. But I really blame the writes because they made Big look like a heroe out of nowhere lol we really shouldn’t care about his death (neither the characters), he supposedly should be the bad guy lol
