It’s not bad but for me one of the most overrated drama in 2024
This drama wasn’t a totally failure for me. The plot twist on EP1 was good, the main couple had a good chemistry together, Yeon Seok (once again) was totally hot and the plot about the kidnapper/villain was entertaining enough. But I just can’t ignore all the cringey scenes, the bad script on some episodes, out of nowhere events and how everything feel apart completely after EP10. When I think about the drama in general, I feel it was kind overrated. But let me talk more about it.For me this drama had a lot of cringe scenes since the beginning and this can make a lot of people give up of watching but I could ignore this thankfully to the main leads great chemistry. But I can’t lie, it was a little too cringe for me at times and I blame the script and the director for this. Speaking of another thing that I blame the script and direction for was the actors' performances.
For me, Yeon Seok delivered a good performance as always, but I found myself totally disappointed with Soobin. I like her as an actress but I think this was one of her worst works. And talking about their characters itself I found both male and female lead annoying and dumb in the beginning. Sa Eon should’ve been more smart actually but he wasn’t. And I expected more for Hee Joo but unfortunately she wasn’t what I thought she would be. Also I found kind funny how Sa Eon said he was in love with Hee Joo since the beginning but treated her like she was a nobody in their own home for 3 years lol and then he changed completely how he acted and started to care for her.
The secondary characters were kind ok. No one totally captivated me but I liked Sang U and Yu ri’s scenes together. Talking about the villain plot, I gotta say that it was kind well done and interesting enough for me, everything was making sense. Sure, the story itself was nothing different from what we usually see in kdramas but it was convincing enough. But gosh what happened with this drama after EP10?
What the hell was the revelation about Sa Eon’s real father? It was so out of nowhere for me and they didn’t explain nothing about it….like, why his real father abandoned him? And his father abandoned him to literally bring him back to be his grandfather later? Like…what? lol This plot twist was forced to me and it seems they did this just so Sa Eon could feel guilty for Hee Joo’s brother accident but why would he feel THAT guilty for something that a father he didn't even know he had did? Ater everything they went through, being away from her for months because of that was completely unnecessary.
In fact, unnecessary and inconsistent were two words that summed up this drama in general for me, especially at episodes 10 to 12. What the hell happened on episode 11 and 12 too? The whole kidnapping scene with Hee Joo on EP11 was inconsistent and this Argan arc on EP12 made no sense at all..the only good thing was the making out scene later lol
So yeah. Since the beginning I saw how popular this drama was and although I wasn’t feeling the same hype as others I thought it still was kind entertaining enough but then after EP10 everything feel apart and when I think about this drama in general I feel like the whole hype is not there for me. It’s not the worse drama of all but the cringy scenes, the inconsistency of scenes and characters, and out of nowhere events made hard for me to give more than a 7.5.

They messed up in the middle
I need to say that Go Ahead is definitely NOT a bad drama but despite loving some things, it disappointed me a lot in others too.Good Points:
- The acting were VERY good and the OST is impeccable. I have to point out that Xincheng's acting was VERY good and I was really surprised by him! I had just seen Skate Into Love and I thought he was really good there but he definitely proved himself as an actor here.
- The drama starts very well. The characters are charismatic, there is chemistry and the family thing is very good.
- The main couple has a lot of cute scenes too.
Negative points:
- Ling Xiao's change: I understand that after everything he went through, it make sense that the character was going to undergo changes and I also understand that Jian Jian was his only happiness, but there were some moments that I felt that he imposed things on Jian Jian because he couldn't live without her. And this also made Jiang Jian's character lack a little because I couldn't feel that she had the same need and love that Ling Xiao had for her. Sometimes it felt…forced.
- Jian Jian's lack of romantic development: The fact that she kept calling Ling Xiao "Ling Gege" bothered me a lot because they were raised as brothers and that's why she called him that. But continuing to call Ling Xiao "Gege" seemed very strange. I also thought that in some scenes the way they treated each other was too similar to how they treated each other before, which it was weird because before they had like a brother and sister relationship but later they really liked each other as a couple so things should've change more.
- 40 episodes: I felt that the number of episodes dragged the drama A LOT and made it boring at some points.
- Rushed Ending: The redemption they gave to Ling Xiao's mother was too rushed and ended up not working for me. For a woman who was toxic to him the WHOLE DRAMA I expected them to develop her story better.
Anyway. Go Ahead is a drama that is indeed captivating and I understand why many loved it but at least for me some things were disappointing and irritated me and that's why it ended up not being a 10/10 drama.

As expected, youth cdramas are always the best!
This one is a little underrated but so good!! Characters are nice, funny and cute. We get to know not only the main characters story but also their parents story. We also see the main characters growing up as teenagers to adults, going to universities and then working. Qi Chi and Huan Er are extremely cute together and also charming characters! They had a good chemistry together and the actors did a great job in general! The last episode was really heartwarming and leaves us with a good message about friendship, life and maturity. I wished Song Cong had a better closure tho but I really liked the ending in general and I think it was a good and emotion closure to the drama.
Really recommend this if you’re looking for a good youth drama about friendship, love and family!

Well, this drama have some positive and some negative things. The story is very addictive and you find yourself increasingly anxious to know what happened in the past of the main characters. Seo In Guk's acting is so good, he was certainly the best thing in this drama. But unfortunately there are some disappointing things, at least for me. The last episodes was really.. nosense? When they explained the main characters past I thought that was a very random explanation. It seemed a lit bit forced.Jin Kang is a very annoying character. I couldn't shipp her and Moo Young because they sound so forced. Out of nowhere she starts liking him, even when SHE KNEW IT that he was bad to his girlfriend (that was actually Jin Kang's very close friend). Moo Young is actually a bad person but she was always protecting him and defending him. I know, sometimes he deserved it but most of the time, no. And oh my god, when she breaks up with him... what a drama. She kept saying she couldn't live without him when in fact, she could. Why wouldn't she live? She have a "brother", friends, people who really cares about her. Moo Young on the other hand, doesn't have anyone, so it makes much more sense for him to say that he didn't want to live. So yeah, I didn't like this couple at all.
Jin Kang's brother was very annoying too. All the time he was blaming Moo Young and calling him a monster, a murderer, when in fact he isn't a good person either. He hid Jin Kang's past and ignored all the bad things that this secret could cause. I hated him so much ugh.
Seriously, Moo Young was the best character. He's actually a bad person but I found him interesting. And sometimes I understood him. I liked how intelligent he was, well, at least in the beggining. He's going to trust a woman that HE KNOWS that isn't trustful and he knows she's a bad person too. And all this trust, fucks him later. As a character who was so smart and who calculated all his steps all the time, why he was so stupid? Didn't make any sense for me.
That's it. I liked the mystery in this drama but for me Moo Young was the best thing. But well, if you like a suspense and a mystery drama, this may please you because it really makes you think in a lot of theories. And who knows, you might even like the main couple.

The story is very different and runs away from the cliché of dramas. It may seem boring at first but believe me, it's very interesting and each episode will get you more addicted to the drama.
Even focusing on the main lead, the drama tells different stories of the prisoners of the prison, so the drama never gets boring. The story is touching and very fun to watch.
Acting/Cast (9.5/10):
The actors acted very well. Each character had a very different personality and they all knew how to interpret each one well. It's very difficult to choose one favorite character because this drama have a lot of great characters.
Both the prisoners and the cops were interesting to watch and was really cool to see their friendship growing during the drama.
Music (8.5/10):
Music isn't the strong point of the drama and doesn't have so much presence ( at least for me ). The OST was comppose by rappers so anyone who likes hip hop will probably like it. They had one song that i really like it :)
Rewatch Value (9.0/10):
The drama is very interesting. They had a lof of funny scenes and the friendship of the prisoners is very cool to watch, so I think it's worth watching this drama more than once, it's probably going to continue interesting and fun.
Overall: (9.0/10):
This drama was one of my favorites of 2017. Didn't impact me so much in the first episodes but after episode 3 I started to loved it. I loved the story and especially the characters. Give a try and watch, I think all of you will like it :)

- Story (10/10):Defendant have a very good story. Each episode makes you more anxious to know what happened. Why did the main lead lose his memory? Did he kill his wife and daughter? The story is so well done that there is no holes (not that I have realized of course).
- Acting/Cast (10/10):The acting was PERFECT. Everyone who accompanies Jisung knows that he's a great actor so we all knew he would act well. But the surprise comes with the villain and the other characters, they were VERY GOOD. The cast was handpicked and everyone played a great role and acted super good. For a drama with a story as intense as that, the actors needed to keep up with the intensity of the characters, and they did it very well.
- Music (8.0/10):The drama doesn't have an addictive OST but the songs went well with the scenes, particularly with action and suspense scenes, the soundtrack guided them very well.
Rewatch Value (8.5/10):Although you already discover the secrets of the drama, I think he wouldn't lose the grace if you watched more than once because everything is very intense. You will suffer a lot but the story is so good, the actors acted so well that everything will still shock you.
- Overall (10/10):Overall, it was a wonderful story and drama. For those who haven't watched it yet, I SUPER recommend it. Even if you aren't a fan of melodramas like me, take a chance, I guarantee this drama will surprise!

Speaking of acting, I think everyone was apprehensive when saw Suzy in the cast, but she proved that she could be a good actress. Suzy played her character very well, she did a good.
Well, let's talk about this drama.
Story: (8.5/10)
It's very interesting. I was intrigued by what was going to happen and why Suzy had those dreams.
I found the story quite different and interesting but, yeah, had some holes. That's why i didn't give a very high score.
Acting / Cast: (9.0/10)
All of the cast did a good job. Jongsuk, well, we couldn't expect less from him, he nailed it as usual. Jung Hae In was very good to and so Suzy. The special characters that were appearing in the drama were very well interpreted by their actors and actresses.
Music: (8.5/10)
I loved the music! I'm so addicted to Suzy's song.
Rewatch Value: (7.5/10)
The drama is good but I think it's because it's interesting and intriguing in the first time you watch. I don't think it would be THAT interesting and cool if you watched it more often, so I gave this score.
Overall: (8.5/10)
The story is interesting, the characters are cool and well played. The drama contains several different characters, each one with their own story, some more interesting than others. He loses a bit of rhythm in the middle of the drama but overall, While You Were Sleeping manages to hold you to the end. I recommend :) :)

It’s exciting but it definitely have flaws
I have to say that Vincenzo can be an awesome drama if you don't think too much and I understand the hype as the drama do have some good things. But Vincenzo was slow to captivate me, I only started to really like the drama after episode 6/7 and altought I do think it's a good drama, it does have some serious flaws.First, the concept of mafia, revenge, corruption and "only evil people can fight evil people" are very interesting but mixing these heavy themes with comedy was TERRIBLE. Of course this is my person opinion and for some people it may have made the drama easier to watch but for me the themes in Vincenzo doesn't match with comedy. The "funny" scenes was too much sometimes and even made some things look inappropriate. For example, how could they make an episode with an LGBT character so stereotyped? If we analyze the whole situation with the character, everything was seen as pure comedy, including his "romantic" scenes with Vincenzo. I honestly found it quite how they portrayed the character in such a stereotypical and comical way, and Vincenzo's reactions to everything didn't help either. I can totally understand if the LGBT+ community felt disrespected. The scene with the pigeon saving Vincenzo was too cringe too and it was like I was watching a cringe comedy drama or something lol Besides the comedy, this drama have another problem: Vincenzo is smart most of the time, except when the script needed him to be dumb. The way they make Vincenzo look invincible but suddenly become dumb or impotent makes the plot loose credibility and it doesn't make sense to everything they created about the character.
Other thing I didn't like was the sound effects. I understand that its necessary to have some sound effects to make some scenes look more impacting but they use this TOO MUCH in Vincenzo, its unreal. You don't need to use sound effects ALL THE TIME to make the scene look impactful. The way the characters act, the characters lines, or even the actors acting could already do that. This frequent use of sound effects in Vincenzo pissed me off a lot and was one of the things I hated most about the drama. Sometimes it made it seem like the drama was a cartoon and If the scenes did looked impactful was thankfully to the ACTORS good acting.
Talking now about the characters, I have mixed opinions. Vincenzo was too invincible. Sure, his fighting scenes with the bad guys was really great and exciting but sometimes it looked unreal because it was like everyone else was too weak for him (except, like I said, when the plot needed him to be weak). Joo Won for example, he's a great villain but that is only because Taecyeon made happen because talking as a character, compared to Vincenzo, Joo Woon was complete powerless. But I cannot lie, besides that, I did enjoy Vincenzo, he's charming and I think Song Joongki really did a great job here. (I just wished he wasn't that powerful all the time and the whole episode with the LGBT character didn't happened). Joon Woo was an exciting character as well. Sometimes I thought that the acting was too much but most of the time Taecyeon was fenomenal and portrayed the character really well. His scenes with Han Seo was SO POWERFUL, I loved to hate him. But altought I liked his scenes and thought the character was exciting, the character decline a little in half of the drama. In the beginning, Joon Woo looked like a cold psychopath but then later he looked like a spoiled child. We had 20 episodes so I think we could had some episodes to show a little more about him. Not to mention that as I said, although he's a villain, the character was completely powerless compared to Vincenzo so I wish they had made a villain more at the level of the main lead. And omg it doesn't make sense for Joon Woo not have any good security to protect him. The guy has to go to prison because he can't escape Vincenzo (a one man) and a few other guys chasing him. Han Seo was a cute character and I hated his ending so much omg NOTHING in that scene made sense, it was like the screenwriter just wanted to kill the character out of nowhere, my baby deserved more :( Chayoung was REALLY ANNOYING for me, her reactions was too much. I don't think is Yeo Bin`s fault as I know she can act its just the character is too forced sometimes. She does get better later and I started to like her a little bit but she could have been more great and in the end, they lost an opportunity to make a badass and more important character, she was there just to be Vincenzo`s partner. The other prosecutor was annoying for me as well.
Some people didn't liked the couple but personally I didn't have problem with it, some scenes was cute to me. I do think we didn't need a couple in this drama but as romance isn't the main plot it's not like we had a real couple with real romantic scenes. Actually both main lead acted more like partners most of the time and their feelings was just showed to each other in the end. (maybe for fanservice? who knows lol)
Everything said, Vincenzo do have some good things like the cinematography, OST, the characters are good looking and some of them, charming, the dark concept is interesting, the acting is great and for people who always like couples in everything, they also have it. I was really immersed in the last episodes and If you watch Vincenzo without thinking and analyzing too much it can be a good drama. The references used in some episodes were very interesting too. But the bad construction of the plot the heavy themes mixed with comedy, the characters losing sustainability in some episodes and the damn sound effect in EVERY SCENE made the drama least impactful. It's sad because this drama could easily been a 10/10 for me if wasn't these problems. After all, I think Vincenzo will be one of the dramas that will become necessary for every kdrama addicted to watch, whether they love it, hate it, or think it's so-so.
