I’m a psychologist, I get trauma but HELLO having trauma does not give you a free pass to traumatize another who you married. Like he really is not kind to her at all. Just find another firm please put this lady out of her misery please

Do we know he hasn’t had a relationship since the divorce? I missed that. I guess fundamentally he has lied so much that I think I can’t really trust anything he says. In my opinion he was probably always manipulating bings with her and that does take a toll on people. They become insecure and such.

I think he’s been actively trying to stop the alimony by passing her off to his friend so he will marry her and the alimony will stop. Not because he actually cares for her. Come on has he done a single thing for her without him really doing something for himself.

It may be more but he humiliates her repeatedly through his lies. She’s a lawyer and in court, to save the sfl who is not nice by the way, he folded and told the truth which ultimately was just horrible for her. Her colleagues and client had to witness her being told I wanted to divorce you so bad that I lied with someone outside the marriage to dump you. I’d be mortified. There is no excuse. Was he protecting her, maybe but he didn’t care about her feelings if it hurt the sfl. F that. Call a side bar or something. Don’t announce that in open court to destroy her personally and professionally. It’s actually really gross.

I feel bad about the daughter. Like sorta want her with her real dad. He seemed to love her and these two are toxic. Poor girl

My gut is no but to be honest why can’t she. do we assume that the ml hasn’t been busy in these two years? Kinda sick of people shaming her when she was already publicly shamed in court when the truth about her marriage was announced to her colleagues and others.
Also does anyone actually think the ml loves her? He hasn’t really done a single thing for her that wasn’t greatly self serving.
Why can’t she be with another guy. He is creating another family with the girl he coordinated with to dissolve his marriage with. The girl who knew more about the marriage than the actual wife because he didn’t tell her.

In my opinion, ml has been throwing emotional grenades throughout the series towards fl. I don’t think it’s a new thing as I don’t believe that a person goes from being super passive to being selfishly deceitful in such a toxic way. I think this guy has always kinda manipulated things, which is great for a lawyer but terrible for a husband. I’m confused why no one is really understanding that fl has been emotionally beaten up by his decisions. And although she isn’t making great choices she didn’t start the bad choices train. Ml keeps changing stories and narratives. I think the fl loved him, at least who she thought he was, but I can’t say that the ml loved her. I haven’t gotten any really affection towards her from him at all. It’s actually really sad to realize that the person you loved wholly cheated on you but then compound it with I lied about cheating because I just didn’t want you or to be married to you. Imagine feeling deceived then told I just didn’t want you at all. It’s mean and honestly if he was trying to shield her with the affair- which is just a stupid premise- how quickly embarrassed her in court, with such a huge audience to save the sfl. It’s kinda disgusting if you think about it.

Agree. 1000%. No one is seeing the mind games he has been throwing fl’s way. This isn’t something that just happens. He has been doing this a while. So as much as she seems critical and controlling he contributed to that through his deceit and toxic choices. Also for a lawyer how is he not able to communicate his wants to her. Makes no sense. Fl getting hate is baffling to me. Ml has been giving me whip lash with his behavior, lies and overall tone. To be honest, I wonder what other toxic decisions and creative situations the ml used throughout the marriage to get what he wants.

Ok you are my official go to in all things…. Is the ml just really dumb or is he just more interested in covering for his mom and sister regardless of the possible harm to his wife and child.? Why is he so “I need more proof?” Come on now your wife was killed being locked up by your mom. He just needs basic common sense right? Or I may be missing something?

I think the fl kinda has a lot of reasons for being upset. Ml has put her on the emotional roller coaster of I cheated with her, I didn’t cheat with her, I confided in her more about our marriage than with me wife, I never got together with her ever the divorce…..opps now I am her child’s daddy vibes. It’s jarring and fl should be frustrated with his complete disregard for her feelings. Not surprised though. He seems to go out of his way to rub salt in her wounds. I don’t think I could ever like him now. His selfishness and weaknesses are too much. Should she date the sfl in this state, no? Is she vulnerable and sad, yes. Do we make great decisions when we are like this, no. But fl should be given some sympathy- she’s been emotionally gunned down repeatedly. Kinda just want her to find a new firm and remove her from the ml’s toxic behavior forever.
But yeah, I find the ml’s storyline to be really lacking and kinda depressing. How can you get behind his behavior and choices. I suspect he may be depressed, at least was. May be something about the kid that would be the same age as Alf’s kid. P.s. do not like sfl. She is not good
