I found out the real age difference and quit reading like 10 chapters into it so i stuck to the show LMAO ive watched 4 that all aired perfectly fine except one. they aired it again months later.

Since it is mainly for international fans theyd atleast let us know? why post it on weibo but not on platforms that we use 😭. I think theyll stop posting it on chinese platforms and still continue on like insta and yt. thats my assumption.
why i think its paced so slow is because 10 chapters per ep is insane especially with how the main story carries out for 283 chapters with 5 special chapters (we wont get the specials). like we are just getting to the break up next week which are eps 17-18 making the rekindle end of 18-19 then they have to pace it hella fast for the remaining 5 eps. thats my assumption idk but theres A LOT of storyline after the break up especially for the secondary couple and chis parents returning back to the screen plus the kiddo 🥺.

262 is when chengyu and wsw come up with the plan of getting wsw money involved. thats also when he sells everything
263 is when chi finds out and he finally sheds cries for the first time.

his sisters puts him in jail to help Chi's dad with trying to split them apart but fails because they see that Wsw gave up everything for him so they "kinda" feel sorry for what they did.

fun fact! After the whole break up, chi tries to get with women but doesnt work. Wsw is bi-sexual. I will say he is simply just that way for Chi Cheng and stated many times in the book that he doesnt find any other guy attractive. He loves women and often in the book "accidentally" gets it up for them while he was business trips or at work (weird). Chi is very gay..he cant stand being with women because "their voice sounds like this,etc" he tried but failed 😢

definitely during the break up/mourning of wsw mom. Theres nothing really sad after that point between wsw and chi thatll break them apart. wsw is completely dead/destroyed after his mom died and chi breaking up with him. he has nothing left. i mean there is a jail scene but since Chi is there that wouldnt make sense at all bc Chi is locked up (lmao). I also highly doubt theyll put him in jail but instead find some other alternative to keep him away from wsw.

i think lowkey everything is fine. the pacing is a bit slow, but idc its a show and theyre giving us their all. im not gonna tear this show apart simply because of 1 character getting more screen time. in the book he has a solid good couple chapters to himself in this era (or with chengyu and chi) so its fine to give him the spotlight rn, but after that get him out (he leaves for a good minute).
with the BTS stuff, be so fr. its raw moments that even we never get to see in shows especially in the US so its exciting to see friendships being built etc. so what if its an NC scene bts they arent showing anything provocative 😭 like they show what they can show and end it there. its a 1 minute bts what harm can that shi do??

I honestly dont think it is ever stated because in the show (eps released rn) shows that he doesnt care for the person its just the betrayal of Shuo leaving that he is stuck on. kinda the no explanation thingy. yk when youre significant other breaks up with you with no reason and youre kinda like??? um hello wtf???

He actually came back 6 months prior from when he was introduced in ep 14. He knew the whole plan between jiang and wu suo wei. He was hella jealous about their friendship and how close they are. Also, guo and chi do NOT have feelings for each other they are just really weird and kinky. He is using the plan between jiang and wsw to get back with chi by destroying everything. AKA making things come to light. Guo kinda helps it to by bring back YueYue to see Wu's mom (you dont know this till wayyyy later).
To sum it up: He lowkey just wants to get back together with Chi by using jiang and wsw scheme against them (the whole flirt with a dude thing). When it comes to light Shuo does NOT win. Chi has already fell head over heels for Wu and will NOT be getting back with Shuo.

i wouldnt excuse jiang either. he is a red flag too maybe pass as yellow. he did manipulate wsw is a lot of ways to help chi. every single character in the show/book are NOT green flags.

he overall is a red flag even to wsw he never is a true "green flag" 💀 people just want him to look like he is a green flag but he NEVER will be one lmao

theyll be back dont worry! its time for the complicating break up phase and then theyll return together! its how it all went throughout the book. its mainly wsw, chi, zhen, and shuo rn then theyll get more time.

Chi never rlly cheats on wsw. wsw like physically responds (gets it up) with women and also flirts. its hella fucked up on his part. I wouldnt say Chi is emotionally cheating either. He just doesnt know where his emotions are but he knows for certain he wont go back to Shuo and even when they break up he drives to Shuos house and says "I dont love you anymore, Wsw destroyed every possibility for us getting back together" and then admits he has fallen head over heels for wsw. When he didnt answer Shuo at the pond he didnt care about the thing he did with Guo he just wanted to know why he waited 6/7 yrs to come back. meaning that theres no romantic feelings he is just hella angry and feels betrayed.
honestly, wsw was letting shuo have his way and let shuo take control of chi and wsw relationship. Wsw knew because he wanted to help chi get the truth and let them rekindle their relationship. In the book (i infer) that he helped shuo and chi to rekindle so that Wsw could get married to a woman and have a kid (that was his dream). they ALL played a part in destroying wsw and chi's relationship. Guo, Shuo, Zhen, Wsw, and Chi are all guilty of bullying, manipulating, etc.

i highly doubt theyll do the whole egg thingy plot because he was supposed to be wearing it in the basketball scene i just think chi will be jealous about him staying the night at shuo and zhen place lmao
