To name two reasons, there are certainly more.... Tencent is involved in both. Chief Producer Yang Xia was a screenwriter…

Title The Eternal Love Spoiler
Like it couldve just ended once they had the kid or even before that when the narrator came back to say they spent…
Yes thats how I feel it was rushed, and didn't fit in because of it. They should've saved for season 2 or extended season 1 for it to make sense. Iv started season 2, but idk if I'll finish as it's not that good and kinda confusing imo.

So season 1 ends with them defeating the bad guy, then getting portaled to the future, and running hand in hand away. Which could have just happened when they 'passed away'. The back story was not a necessary part of the overall story and ended up feeling rushed and pointless in my opinion. The ending of season one also ends up looking really bad in perspective once you start season 2. I havent finished s2 to see if they can somehow explain. Of course this is just my opinion so there is no right or wrong answer to how it should've ended.

Title The Eternal Love Spoiler
Is it just me or are the last like 4 episodes pointless?
Like it couldve just ended once they had the kid or even before that when the narrator came back to say they spent the next couple of years with each other.

I went from really hating to really loving Hao Du, and that's a first for me. Usually I never change my mind on a character. They wrote him well.

Finally finished this drama after a 2 month break. That actor switch up threw me more than I thought it would. Na In Woo was a much better On Dal though, he got the goofy/foolish and serious sides perfect. The other actor was not that great with capturing the foolish side.

Lol judging by the comments I guess I'm among the few who had zero second lead syndrome here :) For the life of…
It's most likely people who've read the webtoon, Seojun is more fleshed out there and a much better character than the drama.

The best part is the action actually looks like they inflict real pain and wounds to the hurt. And it doesn't…
The temple fight is by far my most favourite fight and scene. Changge is slicing them while Situ never unsheathes his sword and the temple lady/master is whacking with the side of her sword.

I find Wei Shu Yu so hilariously hopeless, a noble fool. He reminds of Qi Heng from Minglan and Zitan from Rebel…
He's a golden retriever boy lol
