On today's new observations from rewatching; after killing a person for the first time in ep.7, before Mrs Zhao noticed Chang Yu's hands were shaking uncontrollably, CY's hands were already visibly shaking when she was feeding XZ medicine and the tangerine peel candy, after he wakes from his nightmare🥲🥲

The amount of hate Zhang Ling He is receiving feels quite excessive. It’s surprising how being good-looking…
Anything to bring others down, amirite🤣Those companies definitely swimming in earnings from this drama, and they can even hide behind the actors that take all the negativity for them while doing so🙂Damn it...

People who criticize the fight scenes are not disregarding the ‘style’ or emotional impact the writers are…
I'm not trying to convince you she has 300kg grip strength, it's just established that she does have it, which is why I watched this scene keeping in mind that she has 300kg grip strength (at the very least, doesn't mean this is her maximum, because she didn't struggle much to carry the stones) Kinda comical actually, similar to when I watched SWDBS, you just know that it's unrealistic but it's what it is😂

The artery thing is just something that I know? Haha, because of medical knowledge, and it's also something they mention in C-dramas, she cut the "动脉 dong mai", causing his arm and wrist to be completely destroyed💀

I would think a person's arm strength to carry stuff and hit things is different from their body weight's ability to hold someone down, which is why while Shi Hu found it more difficult to lift his arms to counter her attack when she was on him, it was relatively easy to throw her away as she was light. And how she cannot pin him but can hit him several feet away.

I would say he couldn't get back up because he was struck squarely in the chest twice and his arm was rendered useless, while she blocked his attack both times with her knife, which still caused injuries, but were less severe

As for his dumbness, it was showcased in how he ran straight at the wood on fire thrown at him to hit it instead of dodging it😭

But in the end, it is indeed unbelievable that a small girl has at least 300kg strength, regardless💀 If it were up to me, I would add a "fantasy" tag, since besides the strength thing, in here people don't die when they fall from cliffs and get back to fighting in one day after literally falling off one (SYQ I'm looking at you😭)

But I'm curious, other than this fight, did you find the other ones unbelievable? I'm guessing SYQ's unbelievable recovery speed was worse😂

Where did Shi Hu's endurance lose to CY? He's just way louder and more expressive while she is more silent
Shi Hu after getting blinded, immediately reacted to her attacks in like 1 second, because they're in a war💀Shi Hu's hair also stayed intact even after he died💀
Shi Hu was unaffected mostly and kept attacking, until she slashed his artery on his arm and stole his weapon
Shi Hu is VERY impulsive and kinda dumb, he kept trying to go save their prince without a plan, so yes not unbelievable that he would be annoyed that a woman can keep up with him and lose his composure

So what she did or try to do:
1. Tried to slash him with her knives across his arm and chest, didn't work due to armour, Shi Hu was just surprised
2. Full body weight kick did nothing much, he only stumbled, kinda embarrassing actually💀
3. Tried to jump on him and overpower him with her 300kg grip strength after blinding him, didn't work, got thrown off
4. Distracted him with her main knife and sacrificed it, then used the bloodletting knife to sever his artery on his arm where there is no armour, and steal his weapon
5. Hit him with her 300kg strength using his weapon

What she suffered:
1. First hammer blow to the knife, flew away, shoulder strained
2. Second hammer blow to the knife, flew away, cough up blood
3. Completely exhausted after the fight, almost passed out, couldn't stand straight and had to sit

What he suffered, or didn't suffer, since only 3 and 4 worked:
1. First 2 slashes did 0 damage, just surprised
2. Full body weight kick did nothing, just stumbled
3. Blinded in one eye from fire, vision affected
4. Artery cut, lost weapon, dies from 300kg strength blow

Actually it kind of was a strong woman do bong soon situation...in ep.22 she carried 2 baskets each about 200-300jin…
Idk why u keep assuming he is definitely stronger when it is shown that she can carry 300kg with not much effort, she's quite literally strong woman do bong soon, please don't ignore this part that i keep emphasising😔

He didn't hit her on her elbow, she blocked it with her knife both times, they gave it a close-up. Her shoulder was strained from the impact from the first blow, and she coughed up blood the second time. And why do u assume that throwing up blood is for "dramatic effect" and not like, literally internal injuries...

What damage did you expect other than blood coughing...perhaps dying...? If you want her to grunt and be loud af like him in order to show that she's "struggling", unfortunately I don't think that will happen😂 Unrealistic but all the main character fights are silent af hahaha

Why jump on him to attack him after blinding him? Because usually people can't really see what's happening on top of their heads, and when you're blind in one eye, it's even harder

Where is her ax...she's carrying a butcher knife...where are u getting an ax...and when she slashed his chest he was not affected at all...just surprised that she did that...

I mean what's she supposed to do instead of getting back up in a war, lay down there and wait for someone to come save her, or get killed? She wasn't unaffected, she suffered injuries, she just keeps getting back up as quickly as she could and trying again. Even Shi Hu after getting blinded, immediately reacted to her attacks in like 1 second, because they're in a war💀

Why did the final slash on the arm affected him so badly that he dropped his weapon? It's because she used a bloodletting knife, to cut his artery on his arm, something she applies from killing pigs

I feel like it was a deliberate choice by the director, leaving the interpretation of the scene up to the audience.
yes i was like wait why did he grab the hairpin so tightly when he's unconscious....OH...he did the same thing when he was hiding from assassins😱

I read some people say Yu Qian is a transmigrator. How do people know thats her secret cause i didnt notice any…
She did CPR on QM to save him haha CPR didn't exist
It also explained how GSY was able to save Qi Shu with CPR because Qian Qian taught him once

An observation after rewatching; when XZ grabbed her hairpin tightly in ep.1 while unconscious, Chang Yu may think that it's a sign from her mother to save him, but for XZ it was more like his body's reflexes was to grab a weapon to stab someone because he was escaping from assassins🙂

Actually it kind of was a strong woman do bong soon situation...in ep.22 she carried 2 baskets each about 200-300jin…
But she does have unbelievable strength...it's not my opinion but the character design, shown from the 2 baskets of in total 300kg stones she carried😭and they did say her father trained her, but it wasn't shown in the drama

He lost vision in one eye after the fire thing, I would say that definitely affects his performance💀
Wdym only a scratch on her face she vomited BLOOD🥲Her hair was fixed because it was bundled up tightly? Shi Hu 's hair looked completely fixed too😂

He was not a small challenge, definitely overpowering her at first. I wouldn't say it was sudden, she tried several methods ("bloodletting" a pig killing method she has, climbing on him to stab him whilst his vision was affected, kicking him with her full body weight) and analysed her opponent carefully

She was using 2 butcher knifes...not striking with a hammer...only at the last moment did she steal his weapon
At the end she sacrificed her main knife, and finally got an opportunity to go for the kill by disarming him with her small knife and taking his hammer

I would even add that Shi Hu is very impulsive and kinda dumb as shown from his interactions with his brother and how he keeps itching to go save their prince without a plan...and before starting to fight with CY he was looking down on her and annoyed that she was "looking down on him" by bringing butcher knifes to a war fight💀

Idk if you read my comment at all...because I broke down the scene for you, but you're just repeating yourself...with inaccurate information about her strength, her weapons, and how she struggled in the fight...

I’m not trying to be antifeminist or anything, but i found the fight scene between the female lead and Shi Hu…
Actually it kind of was a strong woman do bong soon situation...in ep.22 she carried 2 baskets each about 200-300jin (100-150kg ish), so 300kg without much effort😂😂

As for saying she wore him down...and not breaking a sweat...lol sorry but I think we watched different scenes? Or maybe it's because I've rewatched it too many times😭

She didn't throw him around at all actually, he knocked her off her feet like 3 times and each time she flew quite a distance away and once even threw up blood🥲
She even tried to kick him with her whole body weight but nothing happened and he just stumbled like 2 steps hahaha
Only once did he flew away from her hit and it was from his own weapon and her strong woman do bong soon strength💀And she almost collapsed from exhaustion after that battle...
I would say the reason she won was because she used unconventional methods like the fire at his eyes, and also she didn't just use brute force, she caught him off guard with her small knife and her pig killing methods to kill a human😂

Not saying it's realistic or anything, because it is indeed a situation where she had unbelievable strength😄

For anyone who's read the novel, does CY ever find out that XZ who saved her after her fall and not the granny?…
Yes Chang Yu was less reckless and more logical in the novel...and General Tang does live till the end, he was basically in every big battle, but I guess in the drama they deleted his character😔

CY did fight Prince ChangXin alone at first, but she was so close to dying and probably would have if XZ didn't shoot an arrow at Prince ChangXin at the final moment

Honestly I preferred XZ's reaction to CY's real identity in the drama, novel reaction of leaving her after they already went through so much together, felt a tad too dramatic for my taste haha

I miss it so much too😭I come back here everyday to see comments...🥲

every red ribbon had “长玉与征 世世生生” on it which translates to "Chang Yu and Zheng, in every…
the words are pretty simple so CY could have read it haha☺️ But the words were probably too small and XZ hugged her and ran before she could take a closer look hahahahaha

For anyone who's read the novel, does CY ever find out that XZ who saved her after her fall and not the granny?…
Atp Imma write my own fanfiction LOL🥲

Many many things I wished was diff tbh...

CY's bear hunting scene and taking food from the enemy camp scene, where she didn't make use of SYQ and all, those for me were what made her journey to a general more convincing as she was shown to be clever and not reckless like in the drama

General Tang, the one who was General He's subordinate died in the drama way too early, he was supposed to live all the way till the end and helped CY and XZ to make Bao Er Emperor

The battle of Lu City was very intense in the book, CY almost died, XZ came in at the last minute and literally saved Lu City from becoming the next fallen Jin Zhou, and General He's death was less underwhelming in the novel, he managed to tell CY her real identity in person instead of writing a frickin letter

The killing of Prince Chang Xin, XZ actually helped to deliver the final blow with his arrow

The last battle was soooo underwhelming, in the book it was 3 sides all facing against each other (QM, XZ, WY), and had actual layers of them one-upping each other as the battle progressed...

There's probably more...but here's what I can think of off the top of my head

agree the last few eps hard to watch, makes me wonder whether the FL write the script herselfstarted well must…
Yes something really needs to be done about pacing in Cdramas, a lot of them start out good, then after a while it almost feels like the screenwriter didn't plan for the limited no. of episodes and starts winging it😂

wdym you wonder whether the FL wrote the script herself...that's not possible😂And why would you say FL, why not anyone else?😂 If TXW wrote the script it probably would have been heaps better LOL

Interesting. Is this a detail from the book?
nope, in the novel Chang Yu throws hers first then Xie Zheng throws his, and it landed near hers
and CY didn't allow XZ to see what she wrote so XZ went back at night to climb the tree and see her wish LOL🤣
