I don't agree that he is suicidal like some ppl said, but I agree when you guys said he no longer think himself as a survivor. He embrace his fate fully and true to his character. If there is a cure possible that don't risking other ppl, I believe he will take it. The flower has only 30% chance on him and it was needed for greater cause as make peace with the emperor and also could 100% cure the emperor, leading to stable country and peace of the world. If there is other ways, I believe he will not reject it.
Also I want to point out, even though it is possible to cure the emperor with yangzhouman, it is almost impossible for the emperor to let LLH touch him and give himself to LLH to cure him. Because of LLH identity and also because that is the nature of the emperor, not everyone can get close to him no matter what. I read a lot of chinese novel and watch c drama, so for LLH to cure the emperor using yangzhouman, the chance is 0 unless the drama goes into illogical plot. That's why I don't like LOA when everyone can touch the emperor like they are friends.
I also like the snippet of how LXY become LHH after he cure YBQ. He is not worth it imo but for LLH, nobody is unforgiven if they really regret and repent. This is a major life lesson, I agree but also reluctant because of my selfishness but in my mind, I know LLH is right. LLH char is deep and layers, CY is very successful in delivering it to us.
Also I watched TBOY about a month before MLC airs, I agree with everyone that said it was a good drama but after watching it, I didn't get attached to it. But it brought my attention to ML, Li Hong Yi because he is good looking. The cgi in tboy is also beautiful but there are some points in the drama kinda annoyed me, like forcing ml romance which don't have any chemistry at all. Also the confrontation at the end was kinda ridiculous. But it is still a good drama worth to watch in pass time.

He is a real doctor, he discussed a method of controlling poison w physician guan.. he also know how to use needles, so he at least has a knowledge of medicines, but maybe not as good as ppl who devoted their life in medicines. He also skills in minor injury and bone fixing since he is a martial artist. He only use yangzhouman on emergency occasions like saving qwm, fdb and ybq.. otherwise he will not wasted it i think.

I think many ppl don't watch NIF since it was an older drama, trend now ppl love beautiful man, and NIF don't provide much.
To be honest TU is not even in my top 5 drama, i think the drama is famous because ppl are so into BL nowadays, when the drama 1st air, i even dislike it.. it took me time, because.. again, I'm bitter when the adaptation doesn't follow the novel. Tho, it still follows more than 50%.
I crown NIF, MLC and JOL as the top 3 cdrama of all time.

Actually i understand the open ending for MLC since it also close to then ending from the novel. But for the untamed, the novel has a happy ending of them being together.. maybe drama make it like that for censorship, can't let 2 guys roaming together? Lol. Yeah BOY has 5 minutes extra but boy is happy ending anyway. They roam jianghu together.

1. 10 years ago, after he was poison, the monk help him but can't fully cure him, so he can only live for 10 years unless he can find other ways. When he returned, he was shock to hear so many complain and blaiming him for the death of 58 members of sugu, they said he is too competitive and ego, dont listened to others etc, that the downfall of sugu was because of him. Then he also read the letter from his lover that break his heart more. So he got double blow from his friends and also from his lover. To find a cure, he should return to sugu and his friend to help him.. so he no longer has heart, probably very sad, depressed and self-blame. He just want to find his senior corp and live freely until he dies.
2. I think probably he doesn't want to become a burden.. like you said. Since, he can't cure himself also maybe related to the emperor. Dissappearing probably good for everyone safety.
3. LXY's brother gave the token to SGD when he was dying and makes SGD promise to take care of his brother LXY who is only around 4 years old. Too young to be left alone. SGD got injured after that and got high fever.. SGD then lost his memory because of the high fever. They were save by shifu and SGD thought the token was his.
