I know what he did. I had finished this drama. I just rewatch on normal release time. Still he should not be forgiven by other sugu members and maintain the master position 10 years ago. What he did that reveal on ep. 40 is the current event. Im not hating him as much as XZJ. At least he try to redeem himself even the damage is already done.

I remember i have almost the same reaction to NIF like MLC. I rewatch NIF, 2 or 3 times.. that's how much i love them. Also read a lot of fanfic of mei changsu and the fifth prince lol. (Btw, i dont watch NIF when it released, I'm late like 3 years)
But one major diff is, in NIF, i fall in love with the 5th prince (not MCS) while in MLC, i fall in love with LLH/LXY and Cheng Yi all the same time. Not just in his char in the drama.
NIF and MLC are 2 diff type of drama, both good in their own time. As JOL i love it but i dont feel crazy about it. Also great drama as well. I plan to rewatch JOL when the season 2 is near to be release for me to remember the plot detail.
No doubt NIF, MLC and JOL could be crown as the kings of the cdrama. 🫅🫅🫅
The ending of ep.38 is really awesome.. the trio looks so cool, the camera angle is amazing.. simply beautiful.
On the other note, LLH and DFS in the wedding chambered drinking their wine and reminiscence about their fight 10 years ago while talking about the moon is so romantic... 🤭 their smiles are so beautiful, like good old friends. This scene really touched my heart. Ahhh.. thinking that this scene will not be repeated again but with the three of them really break my heart. But who knows.. since LLH might still be alive. 😊
Also we must talk about our villain, beauty Jiao, she died while covered with red curtains are so beautifully done. The MLC team is really details and DFS looked so cool when he killed her (sound weird lol).
Anyway, i love this ep, everything is perfect. Oh, i remember someone asked about LXY sword.. FDB brought it when he came with the sugu members.
Ep.37 - I'm watching this according to normal release time and i need to rant.
I'm really annoyed with all the master of baichuan academy. They are so passive and listen to that annoying XZJ, the incompetent and petty sigu 'leader'. Even after FDB shows his yangzhoman.. they still listen to XZJ and hesitated.. They need QWM to come for them to think straight. They are too bland in char.. No wonder sigu sect can't survive without LXY.
Also to emphasise their indecisive char are they forgive YBQ and maintain him as one of the master eventhough he commit the unforgiven sin - he poison their leader! He should at least become a normal members if not kick out. Although he regretted his action later, still it is not enough. He kinda redeem himself later too, but only saint LXY could forgive him not other sect' members. This is to say, what the one blind eye man action is the most correct. He left the sect because all of these spineless core members.
So I'm a sucker for sad/open endigs so I don't mind neither the last episode or the special. I think is a good…
I'm also usually okay with open ending... I like to read different interpretation of ppl.. And I also like to have my own understanding of the ending..
