Who said being a manipulative person can't be with someone with great character like Zhang Zhe, after all life is a choice. You can be a manipulative and a good person as well. Also, can fall in love with another good person too. I don't think they will end up as prev life if ther were together, as long as they made a good choice. Also, ZZ is not too straight, he is righteous, and intelligent. if he is too straight, how can he deceived the rebel, and be a good detective/minister.
Saying this, I know they will not end up together because of the story. I just disagree that she can't be with a good person just because she has manipulation skills.
Also, I also like XW character, he as a person, his trauma, and history that made who he is. He is complicated and complex. Since she is reborn, they are both complex chars that make them perfect for each other. They have their own story and we will see how.

Not since ep 16, I feel this ways since she manipulated him to release Han Li and he get the worst part of the deal. The relationship is unbalanced... FL always using ML's love to get what she wants and ML is just okay with everthing. I think maybe they want to emphasize that women are always right in this drama? It really frustrated me. I think after falling in love, ML IQ just dropped. 🙄
Apart from ML/FL r/ship, I think this drama is good. Li Ni is a good person and intelligent (I just disagree how he responded to FL), the crown princess story is intriguing.
I want Ning Er with Zhang Zhe. Although ML and Ning makes a good pair, she looks very differently towards ZZ.…

Just finished watching this. Love this drama, definitely worth more than 7.8, should at least 8.2 or more. The story is interesting, the pace is good and the growth is also okay. I love both of the leads.. even the side characters are nice. This story give you the feeling of up side down. I really like Rong Yu char.. He is so nice.. and beautiful...
