I chose her as one of the possibilities because I imagine Aomame as a slender athletic looking woman. I think both actresses I chose could look like that.

I love 1Q84 (read it 3 times) I'd love to see it in movie form but it would be important in getting a near perfect female actor for Aomame. Maybe Ishihara Satomi or Hikari Mitsushima?

Totally agreeing with your wife! Women should have a separate competition. The concept of 'no gender discrimination'…
One competition that might have leveled the playing field would be something that required balance and agility, where their smaller frame might be helpful. My wife and I were in agreement that a competition where women in general excel at. Maybe climb a rock wall and come down a rope. or an obstacle course. Score it on speed or repetitions.

If it doesn't show up in S Korea on Netflix it will certainly show on one of the unlawful sites. I wasn't particularly interested in it before but thanks to Jeong Myeong Seok I'm now interested in seeing what he wants to hide.

Article 7 Interesting Facts About Netflix's Physical: 100 That'll Shock You!
My wife who isn't into reality show kinds of formats started secretly watching it over my shoulder Week 2. The next week she sat next to me and watched it and cheered for a few of the contestants. *She also thinks the women should have their own competition separately even though she feels the women for the most part held their own in most situations.
