Its good enough to watch now but if I had to do it all over again I'd have waited til episode 8 before starting that way you don't have to wait for upcoming episodes. As you watch it then you'll catch up to the final episodes as they are airing.

If you're waiting for upbeat and happiness this isnt the one for you unless the Chinese change the story significantly. The last episode might bring you happiness

I agree with everything you said and I believe that in Chinese dramas you often get more depth in the characters which is what you get from a longer series, 28 Chinese version vs 16 K version. This drama is character driven and without the depth so much is lost. Once the ML realized she cheated on him his character really opened up and I think we'll start to see and understand him more. In both the K and C versions I want to cry watching Ji An/Yu'An on screen. In both version this character is one of the hardest to watch . They know themselves so well and the cards they've been dealt. It's just so hard to see their daily life unfold

I am the same as you, twice for Korean version. I try not to compare but it's near impossible to do. I'm enjoying some of the nuances in this one that's slightly different from K version. One thing I don't care for is that I find the C mom a little more naggy than the K mom. Both bully debt collectors do their role so well - I hate them both.

I don't know if this is a spoiler but in the K version, he didn't get lost (and he isn't lost in this one either) but he wanted to get away from life as he saw it and became a monk. In essence leaving all his successes and friends behind. Breaking the heart of the woman that loved him and shocking his friends. I believe that in his soul searching in this one he will return also.
