Théo what’s the point of watching something if you skip ?
My hubby skips "the boring parts" and it drives me NUTS! Not sure why since it doesn't affect me at all. lol

I'm not a kpop fan, but I've been impressed by the acting skills of many of these idols and more. IU, D.O., Taecyon and Cha Eun Woo are even close to the level of making a drama a definite "must watch" for me.

Title Tomorrow
Ugh ep 9 hits so hard for pet’s owners it was really sad 😢
Had to fast forward almost all of it; I couldn't handle it. My two dogs are seniors and I dread the day I know is coming.

At this point I will watch to the end, just because I've invested so much time already (and because Seo In Guk), but man, this plot is a train wreck. The twist they just revealed isn't clever; it's just abrupt and badly done. Even Seo In Guk's antics, while they still make me smile, are getting a little old. Disappointed. :-(

The FL in Hometown Cha Cha Cha is Shin Min Ah. Except if you were talking about the characters or any other actor,…
She was in Hwayugi, Shine or Go Crazy, My Sassy Girl, among others.

It turns out to be more like a detective series with an emsemble crew (as in SRI&J). Solving murder cases. Personally…
It seems like right now the "psychiatrist" aspect of the show is focusing on Se Yeop and Eun Woo. Through their own struggles, Eun Woo and Se Yeop will probably soon figure out that healing the mind can sometimes be just as important as addressing physical symptoms. That's my theory, anyway. :-)

Ugh.... I WANT to like this show! I will probably watch the whole thing just because I do like Seo In Guk's character (for the most part) but the overall show is just "meh" at best, cringey at worst.

Oh Yeon Seo's character is close to being one of the most annoying FLs I've ever seen, between being a know-it-all, closed-minded, and in a profession she'd NEVER be qualified for irl because of those character traits.

I like humor in all the shows I watch, but there's too much of it here and at inappropriate times. There have been multiple opportunities where the writers could have fleshed out the characters more or helped the audience to connect more with the characters emotionally, but they chose to continue the silly, irreverent humor instead even when it's jarring because of the situation.

I've seen at least a few dramas that start out this way and get a little bit more serious as they go, so I'm hoping this is one of them.

Shiro, were you inside my head when you wrote this? I’ve talked up K-dramas to my entire family, but so far the only ones I’ve managed to convert are my parents. I painstakingly prepared recommended lists of shows organized by genre, with descriptions I wrote myself based on what I thought would appeal to them. They’ve tried several. When they like something it’s the best feeling in the world; when they don’t I worry they will stop asking me for recommendations! So far the only one we’ve disagreed on that I thought might ruin our relationship (totally joking) was Shopaholic Louis.

As for my sisters, one objects to subtitles and another gives me the eye roll you speak of when I tell them I think they would like K-dramas. *sigh*

I'm so confused, will there be any couples? Didn't watch S1 but going to bc i love KSY. But from what im seeing…
Could be because LDW trying to get back to the present and the person he loves will be a big part of the storyline.

Title The Red Sleeve Spoiler
Is the ending of this drama sad????
If you don't want to see the sad ending, stop after watching episode 16. Episode 17 was added after fan responses, and gives the historical end to the story. It's very sad imo, messed me up more than Mr. Sunshine.

Is there a lot of bromance in this drama? I need a good bromance to watch :,)
I wouldn't say a lot, but there is some that is very good.

I was kind of hoping the show would get more into Ryu Su Yeol's guilt over doing the things he was doing and K being the part of him that wanted to do the right thing, but that probably would have required more episodes. As it was even though some of it ended up being predictable, it was entertaining.

I don't usually like crime dramas, but I'm watching this one because of Lee Dong Wook. I wanted to love it... but I just can't. At best I'm mildly interested in what's going to happen. In the middle of episode 11 right now. I do like K, but I felt like he wasn't in the show quite enough. When he was, the character wasn't consistent. Lee Dong Wook is as adorable as always and the comedic moments were great, but neither one really fits with the show. Hoping for a good wrap-up.

Great article even though I avoid sad endings like the plague! After watching many Kdramas I've found that while I can deal with tragedy, by the end of a show I need something to pick me back up or I'll stay depressed for days. I enjoyed your writing, even if I took this article as a list of shows to avoid. :-)

I’m curious, what was everyone’s first sageuk drama? Mine was Jewel in the Palace (2003).
100 Days My Prince! Many sageuks later it's still one of my favorites.

This drama absolutely destroyed me. Couldn't stop crying after I watched the last episode; woke up later that night and cried again! Strangely I can't decide whether I love or hate the show - the romance is messy and sometimes doesn't make sense, plus the end was the kind I try to avoid. However, it was beautifully done (after the first couple of episodes) and so well acted.

Why on earth did you feel the need to post this?
Of course your opinion is valid. However, posting it like this under an article written by someone who obviously loves Kdrama kind of makes it seem like you're trying to diminish her enjoyment of it. It's not really the kind of article that needs a counterargument.
