That wife&child theory had never crossed my mind and I don't even think of it as a possibility even now after it's been brought up several times. The way Dusik is acting towards Hye Jin screams first love or sort of one to me. But what do I know, I might be wrong.

I'm not sure if you got what I meant. But I was emphasizing the fact that I'm loving the drama for many reasons rather than KSH's looks and bet I'm not the only one thinking that. Anyway, I'm enjoying every bit of it which means my weekends are much more fun and my Sunday is more romantic which is fantastic! If someone else doesn't like it, it's their business, not mine, eh?

To be fair, there's a lot more to Homecha than Kim Seon Ho being the drama's ML. I'm saying this as his absolute fan. Mind you he's the only K-actor that I'd go full fangirling mode as Hye Jin and Ju Ri over Jun lol. I love love love Kim Seon Ho and couldn't take my eyes off his charming smile (his cool outfits too lol) in the first episode yet I only started falling for Dusik from around Ep3, and am falling deeper as I'm learning more about him (I guess that also says how great KSH's acting is, KSH is Dusik but also not Dusik? Lol)
I think apart from some very obvious reasons which are our love for the lead or leads, their amazing chemistry and beautiful romance, many of us is loving Homecha because we can resonate with its characters and their stories one way or another. It's a drama yet it feels real and raw, that we have the whole production team, the writing, the filming, the cast and more, to thank for.
When I think of Hye Jin and Dusik, three of my favourite songs immediately come to mind (besides Romantic Sunday of course :D), You're only lonely by J.D. Souther and Just the two of us/Lovely day - Bill Withers, especially these lines from the latter that I think fit the we-all-know-which scene perfectly: '...When I wake up in the morning, love And the sunlight hurts my eyes something without warning, love Bears heavy on my mind Then I look at you And the world's alright with me.'
I felt the emotions from BOTH parties as if I was giving and receiving the hug from Hyejin and Dusik. Who knew…
Absolutely! After a number of times rewatching the scene, I can also feel the emotions from both sides. The very first time though, being a woman and a hugger myself and because the hug 'felt' so good and so real, I was much more invested in hugging Dusik as Hyejin if that makes sense :D
Seriously I didn't want that embrace to end. During that scene I was feeling all the love, the warmth and security as if I was the one running to DS and hugging him and having his arm around me, not because I wanted him for myself but because the hug felt so real and wow, giving you warm fuzzies. I just adore both of them and their dynamics.
When you wanted to say how much you're loving this drama, what you love about it, all the feels it brings, which moments had your heart go la la la la la, how 115+ mins felt so full yet so short and left you wanting more, how you can't wait for the next episodes and all that and then you saw everyone else was already saying everything and more for you, all you had to do was keep saying yesssss quietly in a sing-song voice while going through the whole comment section. Best feeling ever.

Oh sorry for the confusion. I was talking about the upcoming drama 'Cliffhanger', which maybe coincidentlly with both Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun (the Crown Prince and Ashin) as leads. When reading your comment mentioning that they 'met in the cliffhanger' my mind jumped and for a brief moment I thought you were referring to that drama, that it must have started aring and I missed the premiere date. Sorry it's just that I love the actor and actress and was looking forward to their drama so found the coincidence interesting. Yeah sounds like a prequel to me too. I hope besides giving us backstories, these special episodes are also to prepare us for the new season(s). I'd be very disappointed if otherwise. And same, I really want to see what will happen after that last scene in season 2, not just between Ashin and the Prince but with other characters as well, though I'd say I'm most interested in those two :)
No news re Season 3 yet as far as I know. But from the news released ealier today, there will be another special episode 'Kingdom: The Crown Prince', reportedly.
