Thank god we can't kill people over internet. Others MATURE melo lovers from the comment section would have killed…
Some comments on Sikhye's lovey dovey scenes sounded a bit harsh but I don't think voicing out what one likes or dislikes is wrong? Think about past instances when Hye Jin had no filter and could be quite a bit rough with her words but she was by no means a bad person (and many of us defended her then yes?)
Personally I absolutely adore this couple, which I mentioned quite a few times here already, yet there were things I found less enjoyable, and took me a bit of time to appreciate.
I see some people are like me, they're loving the show but not every detail of it is to their taste, and that's OK, no?
I think by 10 episodes some of us got too used to the pre-dating-Dusik Hye Jin who was quite closed off and gradually, yes, gradually opening up to Dusik and the people around her, and that's the Hye Jin we'd come to know and love, so we weren't prepared for such an overnight switch to her new ultra loving ways towards Dusik. I guess we just needed or are needing just a little time to understand what the deal is, that's all :)
I am all about rom com and fluffy dramas. But i just couldn't feel anything for their lovely dovey scenes. I thought…
No, you're not alone. It's not that I also didn't feel anything, I just found some scenes a bit off and couldn't enjoy the recent episodes as much as I did previous ones, but perhaps enough to understand where you're coming from. For me, it's quite simple, it's like even if you love someone, it doesn't mean you love and approve of everything they do. The show is like that someone to me lol. Also sometimes we just can't help feeling or not feeling a certain way can we?
I like Ji PD too. I also hope he ends up with the writer hehe, or at least they show us that he starts realising or developing feelings for her by the end of the show.
As miseon told before dushik heyjin dated guys looking at their status and other materialistic aspects. So it's…
Haha you're right I guess. Maybe some of us subconsciously expected a transition from the usual standoffish Hye Jin to childlike clingy Hye Jin towards Dusik but the switch happened so fast there wasn't really a transition at all so we were a little thrown lol. But like some have pointed out, she's clingy and affectionate towards her beloved ones so it's not totally unexpected of her to go all lovey dovey hehe

I get what you're saying. Trust me I couldn't wait and wanted to enjoy their lovey dovey scenes to the fullest so I was more bothered by the fact that I didn't (the first time by the way), and I wasn't at all upset that the show didn't go the way I hoped it would. But it was a huge relief when I saw that many others loved those moments. About the said 'unnaturalness', I can't pinpoint exactly what it is that makes me think that, but that's what I feel so let's just say it can't be helped.
well said! I feel the same. Minah is THE romcom queen , so Iād like to believe she acted that way for a reason
Yep. I'm really enjoying her performance here so speaking of the lack of naturalness I didn't mean Shin Min Ah's acting but Hye Jin's if that makes sense lol. I just couldn't put my finger on what it was that I found missing, or rather, redundant. But I got past it now and even rewatched ep11 with a fresh take : ).
OK so Iām one of those who had a hard time enjoying the fluffy romantic moments Sikhye shared in the latest episodes. Itās not because I thought Hye Jin wasnāt acting her age nor I was against cutesy or anything like that, I just found her acting all lovey dovey a bit forced. So for me, the ābeing over the topā was not the problem, her āunnaturalnessā in doing so was, which I am not sure to do with her acting or the writing. To be honest after ep 11 and then ep 12, I was quite worried that others would find the same and hence braced myself for a wave of negative comments and boy look whatās going on here, which is not too bad but I miss the all-round positive vibe.
The thing is, I love the show so much and have been way too invested in the couple to skip their scenes despite finding some of the supposedly sweet ones quite awkward so I chose to dig the brain deeper for my most rational judgement to appreciate the new vibes of their romance and display of affection. The justification, if you like, is mainly for the sake of my continued enjoyment but I thought Iād share with you just in case some are going through the same low point as I was and want to get pass it so hereās my two cents:
- The āunnaturalnessā actually makes sense. I think itās because Hye Jin probably gets a little bit too caught up in 'making things official' and celebrating their new status her own way (with the bucket list being the epitome). Sheās probably trying a bit too hard to show the man she adores how much she loves him and enjoys being all boyfriend-girlfriend with him (and obviously wants him to enjoy it too) but those things donāt come quite naturally to her due to her lack of experience and being out of the dating scene for so long. So itās only natural for her to be unnatural and clueless given it being her first serious relationship isnāt it? I donāt think the one with her ex during college days counted for much. - Even without the above, at the end of the day, they are lovebirds who have officially become an item for just a week or so, are very much enjoying their new status and doing couply things which I believe have no fixed formula for the right amount of sweetness and cuteness. So while itās super sweet to some, it can be cringey and hard to digest to others, which is understandable. - Most of their ācringeworthyā moments happen behind closed doors. Are we sure couples donāt do even more silly stuff in private? Also, how many of us have been a āMi seonā (mockingly) shaking our head over our friendsā PDA at least once?
I'm just speechless at how wonderfully Homecha has shown that there are different forms of families;Mom, dad and…
This is beautiful :). I also really love the writing here as it portrays the people and tells their stories brilliantly.
What's more? Even Bugyeong the dog was given a personal touch in a way that with just a couple of brief mentions in a few secs, the dog came to life. I could feel its existence and was curious about it (and loved it for howling and bringing our leads closer lol).
Tbf i think he came to a sort of realisation at ep9 end only after recalling HJ's father comment 'it could be…
Yeah same, that's why I had to rewind the scene immediately after watching it the first time to search for clues and her scream seemed to make the most sense hehe.
I actually was surprised that with such a big cast, the drama has so far managed to have us intrigued and root…
Yes to every word you said. And yes, I teared during that heart warming scene at Dusik's house too. To be honest the show has been far more interesting than I anticipated. This is easily the best K-drama I've watched this year and among my all time favourite shows.

Totally! The writing and all is really impressive. I don't know how they do what they do but even during the side characters' scenes, most of the time I feel our leads are still pretty much present, not physically of course but mentally like they are not there on screen but there in the same town doing this or that. I guess it's because there is this shared bond among everyone.
I don't know about other people, but because they spent so much time properly developing the other side stories. My…
I actually was surprised that with such a big cast, the drama has so far managed to have us intrigued and root for (almost) every single one of them. It's rare for me to NOT skip side characters' scenes but here I am watching from begining to end without skipping and enjoying all stories.

3. [+2630][-8] Iāve lived my whole life without Home-Cha but since watching Home-Cha, each week seems to last a thousand yearsā¦
