Ep 11 at the end really got me crying like a baby. Lee Ji Ahn, or rather, IU saying "Because I'm happy. I'm happy that I'm close with someone like him." I don't know when they filmed this particular scene. But for some reason, I was reminded of Jonghyun. I know, it's not always about him. It could've been someone/something else she had in mind at the time. However, because I was reminded of him, that specific line hit me harder emotionally. And the way she said it, her hands and lips trembled as she tried to hold back her tears. Just like back when IU tried keeping it in, but burst into tears during a performance, not long after his funeral. It hurts even more.
This drama is honestly the best, if not one of the few best K-drama I've seen. You'd think a real life drama would be dull. It's far from it.
IU mentioned there'll be no romance between main leads. Someone in the comments wrote how the poster seems to imply the brothers taking Ji Ahn in as a little sister. I guess it's better for them to end as only family. Cause we know romantic relationship between Ahjussi and Ji Ahn doesn't sit well with Korean viewers. (though still wish there could at least be hints of a future together between them, so the rest of us could leave it to our imagination lol)
I would disagree with that .. It would have been much better if she actually discussed all these things with him…
THANK YOU. There is NEVER any "logical reason" to cheat on your partner. You DO NOT turn to another person for comfort. You either talk or end it clean. Good communication is key to a happy relationship. No one should expect their partner to just know what is going on. We are all humans, we make mistakes, we often fail to notice certain details. Especially, for someone like Dong Hoon, who already has a lot on his plate. Responsibilities and expectations at work and his family.
Based on ep 9/10. Gwang Il's feelings towards Ji An is complicated. At least the way I personally view it. Here's my take on it. Gwang Il wants Ji An, the one responsible for his despair, to be / feel / live as miserable as him. It seems throughout time, Ji An became this plaything he could push around and has power over. Also at the same time, she became someone he could share his sorrows and grieve with. Knowing the person who caused him pain, is in as much pain as him, gets him to wake up every morning. Keeps him alive. In a way, he depended on her. The thing is, I doubt Gwang Il himself realize that he may have taken a liking to her, tho in a twisted way. Thus, he does pity her, as much as he pities himself. However, that only makes him despise her even more. Seeing Ji An smiling/laughing, while he isn't, makes him angry and jealous. He finds it unacceptable. So, he'd do anything to take away the smallest form of happiness in her life.
Honestly, I'm not sure if any of this makes sense. lol
Ep 7 ... i shed tears again. Finally, Ji An will find people that she can share her burden with. Even just a little bit. Also, she chose to walk down the right road. Dong Hoon ahjussi melted her rock cold heart with his kindness. Yay, character development! T^T Happy tears.
Btw, I envy IU. How do you still look pretty with dark circles, barely any makeup, hair in a casual ponytail, always looking depress and distant, not a smile, surrounded in dark atmosphere 24/7. How?? I'd look like a beggar lmao.
There's so many kdramas out there, we're bound to see the same situations.Either the writers have to go crazy…
Yeah, of course some are bound to overlap. There's nothing wrong, I don't expect them to go crazy. It's just funny for my situation, cause I watched this right after. Not to mention, the situation was so similar, except different reasons and outcomes.
Okay so. I just watched Avengers Social Club. There is a scene where one of the husband overslept, caused him to run late for a business meeting with Chinese clients. Then, similar scene came out on My Mister ep 3. lol I wonder what's up with this coincidence. Is it a k-drama cliche I'm not aware of? Or same writers? Also, curious if there are any other dramas with identical scene.
So much publicity iu is making donation and stuff ...why she is desperate to become actress ...she should give…
Wtf is this comment... please delete yourself. Do you say the same thing towards other idols too? There are other female/male idols who've been in 2-3 dramas in a year. She only does 1 once a year, and only when she takes break to make music. She isn't taking anyone's job. lmao If I'm not mistaken, she's the biggest source of income in FAVE. She wants to put out good music for her fans, so she takes time to do so. In exchange, she goes into acting instead, since she can't be inactive / quite for a whole year. She's the least person you should be hating on. So get your facts straight dumbass.
Same director as Signal and same writer as Another Miss Oh, which is better so far, Another Miss Oh or My Mister
Truth, I never liked Miss Oh. I was struggling to finish it. So bad that I totally erased any memory of it after. All that stuck was the female lead. whining and crying for couple of episodes straight. Also, some of the drama's logic. Watched My Mister without knowing who wrote/direct. So, I'm currently very surprised. Signal was awesome though. Anyway, this is definitely better. I mean WAY better. A drama I could watch without me pulling my hair in frustration every episode.
Episodes 1 &2 really do a good job of setting up the story. There is some kind of quiet mood to this drama. Good…
I think she's neutral. I know it's only been 2 episodes, but the way I see it, she's just a desperate girl trying to survive in the cruel adult world. People will do anything when they're in that state, it doesn't make them bad.
There may be hints of it, though it isn't obvious, like they aren't pushing for any love-line. But trust me, this doesn't need romance for you to love it. However, this drama is total opposite of rom-com's fantasy-like storyline, it focuses on real life struggles. Thus, it may not be some people's cup of tea. I still love it. And I'm a sucker for rom-coms. So, you should give the first 2 episodes a go.
This drama is a YES YES YES YES YES x1mil I laughed and cried A LOT in the 1st episode. It hurts, cause we know that someone somewhere out there is living every day like Lee Ji An. With no one but themselves to trust. Only 2 episodes in, and I can already tell this drama will be in my favourites. Lol at the line "amazing korea!" yeah. It isn't a fairy tale land as portrayed in most dramas. It has its own problems and 'evils' just like every other country. I love the female lead character. Usually, female characters would appear strong/charismatic, in order for them to be capable. But in this drama, she appear total opposite, yet quietly knows her way around.
I don't think any other movie, especially in the same genre, would top this. Ever. The wait was worth it. This movie is just perfection.
Also, I don't care what other movie comes out later this year, This movie is like IU of music awards. Or bts / exo / whatever group you prefer.
Not just the actors and actresses, but everyone who worked on the movie, they ALL deserve awards and showered with praises.
Just. I love this movie SO MUCH. For so many reasons. Mainly because of recent incidents. "If your past actions influenced someone's death, that is enough cause to be charged. So don't post mean comments online hastily!"
Side note: this was rated 50% on rotten tomatoes. Are you kidding me?
well, she was 20 already, she was old enought to know what she was doing.I kinda understand the shock of finding…
Woah. This was a long time ago. But I'm pretty sure in no way did I hate her, nor think she's a slut for doing this role. I do respect her decision, and I know I have no right to question her choices as an actress. I never do.
It was more of a shock, since I didn't expect her to have that scene in this movie. Also, I think I watched this after Goblin and her other movies, if I'm not mistaken. So, I had a somewhat "pure" image of her. This was simply a lot to take in at the time.
Just writing this to clear things up. Still and always will be her fan.
First of all, there will be no romance between the two leads. The male lead has his own wife, the female lead might have her own love line (w/ Jang Ki Yong). So age gap, whatnot can finally be put aside. And this is more of a family, warm, healing drama. Just want to clear that up real quick.
I was wondering why this title suddenly disappeared from IU's drama list. Were they misinformed? Did they mistaken Ha Yeon Soo as IU?? Or was someone trolling IUxSuho shippers??? lmao
Either way, glad at least the female lead seems fitting.
"Because I'm happy. I'm happy that I'm close with someone like him."
