I just want to say, those detectives in this movie is as dirty as the criminals in the prison. I wish they actually got some kind of punishment. It makes me angry just thinking of how all those years, they still have their job and still using the same dirty tricks to get their way. Urgh.
Ill just let you know. Dont let cover mislead you. Its worth the time.
lol. True that. The cover pic did mislead me into thinking that I might not enjoy this. And the very short & brief summary wasn't much of a help either. Good thing you mentioned it. :D
Pretty predictable. But still, a good watch. I wouldn't go up to your face about it, but if you have nothing else to watch, then this will do.
What I love the most in this movie is the quarrels between Ho-sung & Sun-mi. xD
Another movie that makes me appreciate Kim Go Eun even more than I already do. There's no praise for this movie that I could say which hasn't been said. This movie is simply awesome. Idk why there are people commenting on government and stuff, when this movie focuses on the relationship between the main characters and their story.
Not sure if you're still interested in getting your question answered, but anyway.
Gory for me, is when they show insides of a living thing. Though this movie has nothing of that sort, just a lot of blood in it. If that's considered as gory for you, then well nvm.
I must say, this is one of those movies that really lived up to it's thriller genre. My heart was actually pounding throughout the whole movie. I was genuinely scared for everyone's life every time the "monster" appears on screen, around people. I'd say I was very much immersed in the movie until the very end. For some reason even after his last breath, I still felt like he could pop up any moment.
Seriously, kudos to Lee Min Ki. His acting was so good, it gave me chills. Also, Kim Go Eun. The very reason I watched this in the first place. She was so cute. Except when she went ballistic.
Now, other people may say it's lacking, and there could've been more to it. But to me, this movie served its purpose. It's existence is simply for the thrill. the messy deaths, breath-holding actions, and heartbreaking drama. That's it. It's not meant to open your eyes, and provoke some kind of deep thoughts. There is really no need to break open the psycho guy's head to see what's in there.
Tldr; If you feel like watching a thriller movie, just for fun, then this is for you. Don't expect more from it. Simply enjoy it for what it is.
OMG... This movie tainted the image I had of Kim Go Eun. It's just like, knowing Song Ji Hyo from RM, then found out she did... stuff... in one of her movie. But this is worse. Cause Kim Go Eun was so freaking young when she did this movie!! Even other actresses had some age on them when they did the same thing. *sigh* T_T
Anyway, about this movie. Let me summarize what you'll be viewing.
First, it started innocently. Then, slowly but surely, it became porn. Then, it became a psychotic love & war, a messed up revenge love story. After that, it became a tragedy. Finally, it ended with a solemn goodbye.
Honestly, at one point, this movie did made me think. In a standard society, a 70 y/o man lusting over a 17 y/o girl, is weird and immoral.
Then again, I kinda do understand him though. I imagine myself being a lonely, old woman. Never been married before. A part of me hates the fact that I feel so old, and I miss the days when I was young. Then, suddenly a good looking, friendly, youthful teenager appears and he makes me feel young again. And I fall in love with him through that feeling. Is it wrong of me to feel that way?
Call me a weirdo, but I don't hate the old man. Only because he didn't forced himself unto the girl. He didn't even jerked off while thinking of her. Instead, he made a literature out of it.
Also, I understand why people describe this movie as beautiful. The reason is because, they portrayed something that in our mind is considered as disgusting, in such a beautiful way. Although I don't really fully agree, I get it.
There are so many other things I'd like to write down about this movie. It made me think about aging, love and desires. All in all, I'm seriously upset that I watched this movie cause I freaking adore Kim Go Eun. ARGH!!!
Started just to "stalk" Kim Go Eun and see all her works, since she was so charming in CITT & currently Goblin. I've only watched light rom-com dramas, all her other works are so out of my comfort zone, that I was kinda hesitant at first. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed watching this. Reading the comments and reviews may scared you. Though imo, it wasn't as horrid as I thought. Just really, really sad.
Watched 2 episodes of this and all I can say is... DAAAAAAMN!!!
People need to watch this. This drama is something else.
At first I was confused, flustered, totally weirded out, like "wth am I watching??"... then I became intrigued... now I'm still weirded out, but incredibly impressed.
Lee Sung Kyung is bae. Seriously. Been loving her since Cheese In The Trap. She's just so loveable. I just love how weird, crazy, dorky she can be. And everything she does just works for me. Definitely one of my favorite actress.
I'm not a Song Ji Hyo fan, but I'm giving it a chance. (no offense to her fans)
You mean, you dislike her as an actor, but you're still watching the drama, right?
Cause if you're just not a fan, I don't see why you need to mention that. I've watched dramas where I don't even know the actors. No offense, just asking.
Same as episode 6, there are 2 versions. (The original sold version, Chinese -> English): http://hdfree.se/watch-online/moon-lovers%E2%80%93scarlet-heart-ryeo/episode-7…
@Miracle ...Guess so.
@Neyjour ...Wait, episode 1 have missing scenes too?
Apparently there are diff versions of moon lovers ep 6 posted in comparison to the one that was live streamed…
So, I watched 2 versions of ep 6. And apparently, both versions have scenes that one has while the other doesn't. So, people should really just watch both versions.
But seriously though, never in my life have I ever watched a drama with this kind of problem. Even if they were pre-produced and ish. Like, wth? =_=''
I know this is going to sound harsh and rude, but if this is how they're going to treat their own drama, then don't get big names to play in the drama. It brings shame to the actors and actresses. I, myself am ashamed as a fan of this drama. smh...
I think I will go crazy waiting for episode 6, it's like waiting for episodes of DOTS all over again. Hae Soo…
Is Descendents of the Sun really that good? I've heard people mentioning it many times. I've been avoiding from watching it cause I feel like it's not my style for some reason. I've watched little bits of clips from the drama here and there, but it didn't really intrigued me to go and watch the whole thing. :\
What I don't understand is why did they kill Lady Hae if Wook isn't even gonna end up with Hae Soo (though there…
@nastou19 ... Aah... Well, I guess the writers really want to push the whole love line between Hae Soo and Wang Wook. At least that's the way I see it.
What I love the most in this movie is the quarrels between Ho-sung & Sun-mi. xD
Anyway... that was a good watch.
