The drama is really well built and interesting, but the ending is kinda off… the motivation to explode a bus was weak honestly, it’s not like they were taking revenge, they didn’t even REALLY know about the sexual harassment, they were just suiciding while taking random people with them, what for? And the people in the bus receiving awards was also weird, save your own lives and get 5000 dollars for it, sure it makes sense
Umm, they are super comfortable together for almost the entire drama. Not sure what you're referring to, I definitely…
In fact they are quite uncomfortable with each other up to episode 10 more or less, but it does get better after it, I just needed some extra strength to get to that part
When do they get comfortable? I mean how uncomfortable can those two be for christ’s sake, it’s passing the discomfort to me I’m feeling uncomfortable while watching them
My only problem with this is the “rightness” of main characters, Han Tae Seok is dealing PERFECTLY with the situation, but the female lead keeps insisting that he’s doing bad things, when he’s actually trying to keep everyone alive
Then she goes acting like the guys outside are monsters, but she wants to keep the gym worker inside the facility because he’s “human”… HE’S JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE YOU’RE KEEPING OUTSIDE YOU DUMBASS
The ending is not as bad as people are painting it to be, the only flaw is the 20 years they live not paying for their crimes, if the time difference was 5 years or something like that it would’ve been less unfulfilling, but the ending itself was actually quite good
It was more about the ML and his lesson that he was to learn, all the people he lived out as were just tools in…
Yeah, I understand the POV of the author to end on a more positive note (since I think the goal of the drama might have been to speak to the community about the counter effects of suicides other than the death itself and encourage people to keep living), but I’m not really into plot conveniences like this one
It’s still a really good drama, I might just pretend the last five minutes didn’t happen and keep on liking it
It was more about the ML and his lesson that he was to learn, all the people he lived out as were just tools in…
Maybe I’m just too keen to revenge plots, but the revenge being undone is just not interesting, in my opinion, to the plot presented from the beginning… they sold a punishment/revenge drama and then gave the audience a slice of life ending (?)
I mean, the ML got his lesson, he didn’t need his life back for that
Edit: I think it was just too hopeful for the drama I was watching, it doesn’t match with the rest of it when he receives a second chance in life
I really liked the plot, but the ending kinda made it pointless? Everything will still happen, with the exception of the punishment of the two psychopaths, the first will die normally with his brain tumor (possibly even kill some extra people in the meantime if we’re being realistic), the second will just go on living being rich and psycho, because there will be no one to punish him
Anyway, nice drama, but I’d rather if he just received his judgement by god as he was supposed to, you can’t undo death you know
Honestly, the writers had so much potential to do something different and more interesting in the end, however…
That being said, they also made some big flaws with the timing: they hint things too early and take too long to reveal. They should have made it in 10 episodes, with a better pacing and timing, forgotten about the monsters that had no addition to the storyline honestly or at least cut down the time spent on them, and changed somethings in the story that simply don’t match the vibe, this drama doesn’t feel hopeful to be so hopeful in the end.
It really bothers me the lost potential of this drama, because it could have been one of the best ever made!
Honestly, the writers had so much potential to do something different and more interesting in the end, however they just tried to make a happy ending no matter what. Had Hwal become a real monster or at least had he died for real, the ending would be much better and remarkable, but that’s just my opinion.
I did think Sang Un was such a jerk for abandoning him for two kids that had absolutely NOTHING to do with her and trying to kill him after he attacked humans that attacked them first. It would be so much more interesting if they chose a different ending, having Hwal become altruist to people who did him wrong in the past just because they’re human sounds awful to me. Bringing him back to life at the last minute with no explanation was also such a bad call.
The ending kinda ruined it for me, they dragged so much to show what happened in the past as if there was some big misunderstanding that would put all the blame to Ok Eul Tae, but even though he caused part of it, Sang Un was awful too and nothing can change my mind about it.
It’s definitely not as good as season one, but episode 8 seemed promising for the next season and the ride through…
That being said, I did wonder in the middle of the series if Song Kang disappeared due to budget reasons or for the story… in the end it might’ve been both, but they did give an appropriate “explanation”
It’s definitely not as good as season one, but episode 8 seemed promising for the next season and the ride through season 2 is sufficiently good, so I’m excited for season 3, I really think it will be great
Why on earth did Ai Jia say that sexist shit in the interview of the beginning of the last episode? It seemed so out of character, like, anyone could say that, but Ai Jia?
Episodes 1 and 2 suck so much that it’s painful to watch, in episode 3 it gets average and the rest of the show is amazing, however to get to the good part you’ll have to suffer a little
If old fans can see past that, as I do myself, this season is going to be even better. It’s a story with a growing…
I don’t know, I think it’s hard to say it’ll be better when they’re not picking it up from where it was left, it’s very likely they created a whole other plot to skip those 10 years because of the recast… it can be better, but it seems unlikely, we’ll see it soon enough though, I hope you’re right
i’m still just too sad about the recast to feel excited about it, I’ve been waiting for so long, but the new actors just feel too different, I can’t imagine the two of them in their roles
i’ll still watch it though, hoping it will be so amazing that I will forget the recast
