I am an Indian woman too and I definitely agree that more than half of the women in my country have internalized misogyny and defend men's actions to the last of their breath. It's been going on for generations but we are slowly breaking the cycle though there are still a lot of women who are brainwashed.
If you want to understand it more watch any movie that was hit among the indian audience in the past year and see how women are treated/portrayed (eg pushpa, the great indian kitchen original or remake, dragon, the song dabidi dibidi, etc).
