Character wise I was rooting for Hyunju(the transgender character, in case I got the name wrong) and the old woman the most! They seemed like the most good people out of the whole bunch.
As for acting, the guy who played Thanos stood out the most to me. Guessing he must be a seasoned actor in korea because his experience shows. He killed it with his expressions, walk, style and the general. A asshole of a villain he was, but I was dreading his exit from the games so bad while watching because he was fucking entertaining to watch and gave his character so much life.
There is some romance; it can even be said that it is the source of strength/weakness for certain characters. I won't spoil for you on who are the endgame couples but there are 2 kiss scenes and you can't say romance is not a part of this show as it forms a driving force for some major plot points and character motivations. I personally really liked it.
