Female lead used to feel that ML loved the king's concubine that's y he wanted the concubine's son to be the next monarch.
She was close to the queen and if you follow the rules queen's son should be the next king.
She was not wrong either.
The thing was ML never gave any explanation for his actions.

Not even that day when she clearly asks whether he likes the concubine or not!
Infact,none of them felt the need to explain anything to the other.
She only orders to get him killed when she is dying as well and he was the last person she met before dying and thought the poison
was on him.
Logically,who do you think anyone would believe a man who explains nothing and barely comes home or a man who has always taken care of her for 18 years.
I think I have watched it well you should watch it again.
Now, if you read my previous comment properly ,I have condemned her going on the boat with men.
Now,not only ONE THING I will tell you TWO instances when she stood up for him-
1).When pei was getting beaten , everyone was keeping mum,She comes ,defends and protects her husband and takes him with her.
Slaps the elder as he had mistreated her husband.
2).The Divorce - basically she wanted him to keep his designation and protect him that's y she insists on divorcing him.

Lastly, this is going to be my last comment on this post as i feel either you have not watched the drama properly or you are completely biased.(Clearly,our thoughts don't coincide .)

But I would not say she was blind because when ML says that it might be SML who killed her in her previous life she thinks it over and figures it out immediately why he would have killed her.

You should watch dramas like'Truth or dare' and' Oh my sweet liar!'.
That I would call generousity.
Don't forget he didn't only know about her being the spy but also knew she married him in place of her sister.
CORRECTION- only in Cdramas you see a'FL' who is this generous and the' ML' who is this shitty .(Especially those who think they can solve everything by breaking up with the FL).

Abusive MLs-
Sealed with a kiss, Royal Nirvana, enslaved love and so on.
I have been watching c-dramas for so long and really love watching but
Seldom I come across dramas in which FLs are toxic.
One thing cdrama production houses need to address is Extreme characters.
Like some men are like they are from some fairyland on the other hand some are really abusive.

And it's not like he is oblivious of who she is working for and she never really means to hurt him.
He knew she was a righteous and witty woman the first day he met her.
All of these I can understand as he was not very abusive just hit her once with the chopstick.(Knowing she is a spy it's justified).
But the most irritating thing for me was the 'unnecessary divorce ' which is the story of almost every other c-drama .
Trust me ,I have watched a LOT!
And that stabbing thing .
So usual in period dramas.
The end (37-40) was so off!

Well,no one wants to be a in a marriage in which your husband treats you like crap.
As I said FL's character development went downward slope after some episodes.
But ML was not good either,he was cold as ice.
I don't think I can root for any of them.
Besides, I don't think she was cheating on him , some of her actions were childish but that can't be termed as cheating.
Will go watch 'The Princess Royal ' again .

I will never forgive you and she stands her ground for so long .
ML also understands and respects her even when he was almost dying when he jumped and escaped.
And even after that their relationship gradually became better not in an instant!

Now coming to princess royal the best thing is she decides to discuss with her husband beforehand ,divorce is not only about her but also about him.
That's what I liked the most.
How can one take the decision alone when marriage is about two people!

FL knows that divorce was the only option at that time, convinces ML ,they both get divorced,solve the problem together,then again get remarried.(The risks were great at that time also).
The reason I love this drama is they both(ML and FL) are equally witty and always work together like how a couple should do!

Actually at first FL also approaches ML with motives.
So you can try this one.

Maybe you will like it if you are into somewhat light hearted modern setting dramas.
The drama has this thing - FL can't feel Pain and the ML is able to feel her pain.
