Even on media he says mean things about her , eventually FL gets into an accident in order to save him, falls into a coma and then he regrets it.

Maybe I have come across a lot of Shen haonan and Wang yiran dramas 😂 which are pretty abusive believe me that's y I feel in most of the dramas they try to suppress women and show then weak.
Which is true as well .
I remember watching a few episodes of' The Royal Nirvana 'and getting nightmares for days.
Then recently aired' The enslaved love'.

Why do you keep forgetting she is in love with him for years and knows it's him.

But ,as we all now, that's not the case in real life.
For him,his revenge was his topmost priority that's y he proceeded for the court without any hesitation even knowing he might never see his wife again.

Well,of course he started loving her but didn't trust her enough that she would stay by his side no matter what happened.
That's what atleast she wanted.
Talking about the FL I found her character development going down slope with increasing episodes.
And ML, he did start loving her but last 4 episodes,(36-40)I am sorry my thoughts gonna remain the same.

Then in front of everyone he uses his sword to pull from water and then orders his subordinate to clean it saying it's dirty.
Now, what I didn't like at all was his persistence in pushing her away.
Then expecting her to forgive him.
They both could have done that together.

Besides, I don't like ' I am hurting you because I want to protect you' thing which is a clichè in c-dramas.

Very true. It's all about balancing these things out and still keeping up with the main story.
I haven't watched The double as I Heard it has an open ending.
But I heard the plot is really good.
I have watched 'love at night' starring Liu xueyi.
Have not watched' in blossom' or' The double '.
I can't contain my curiosity besides intense dramas keep me disturbed so I don't watch ongoing dramas.😅

That's true but him taking her by force, slapping her, making her mute, imprisoning her,always hurting her for you mei , marrying her off to someone else,always calling her slave and other nasty words are the things that are really unbearable. I really don't want these days things in the drama.
In the novel she is abused again and again .
I just want the plot to mainly revolve around the revenge thing of the ML.
Also they should minimise the misogynist behaviour of the ML.
These are just my thoughts.
Once the drama airs I will wait for your updates .
Besides,I don't watch ongoing dramas.
I will wait till till it's last episode comes out.

Unless they change the major part of this crap I am not going to watch it.
I can understand the difference in statuses ,and the mindest of the king and the slave those days but I really can't understand or take same woman getting tortured again and again every day.
His words itself are so disgusting and he keeps saying nasty words again and again.
The most surprising thing is the man who was treating her like crap yesterday is today carrying her in his arms and taking monogamy oath .
Don't forget this is the man who treats women like rubbish.
Now,for a woman who saved you once ,f you are hurting the woman you say'you love' and who has saved and served you like a hundred times.
And now this sudden change in behaviour in the last chapter is quite unbelievable for me.

For me this novel shows Strong misogynistic mindset and sadistic behaviour.
