Meh, by reading the comments here, I am glad I paused watching this when all was happy and good in episode 14…
Haha my first drama was "Goong" but the drama that made me stumble across MDL (eventually making me join it, as you can see now) was definitely "Moon That Embraces The Sun"!
Watch it until the end. The political aspect is more in MTETS but is very interesting and the romance is satisfactory too and the best part is the acting by the younger generation of the drama!!

I absolutely loved MTES during the time it aired (still the 1st on the favourite dramas list on my profile here at MDL)! The story and the romance has been brought out well and plus, I see your profile picture is Kim Soo Hyun, hence presuming that he might be your favourite actor? Haha, all the more reason to watch MTES!
Yes, I understand. Many dropped MDBC because of the death of that one favourite character!
On my Moon Lovers journey so far, the most painful episodes that I've had to watch are definitely 18 and 19. I just watched them back to back (as I couldn't bear to watch 18 without things being explained in the 19th).
As everyone comments below, even I can't understand Hae Soo's flickering character especially in the last episodes. But was Hae Soo really portrayed in this way in the Chinese novel? I mean, thats where the original character storyline comes from right (even if the history plot is made to be different)? I think maybe the reason why we are so put off by her recent behaviours in the drama is because we all were hoping for even a slightest chance for the drama to go towards a happy ending in the Goryeo era itself i.e stray away from the Chinese version all together (ironically, the Chinese author who wrote BBJX never had a happy ending in his mind all along!).
Also I did find many scenes in these two episodes cringing to watch, the deaths of many characters in one episode itself (they need to do that in order to settle the ending by the final episode), too many heartbreaks, Hae Soo's reaction towards Chae Ryung's death even after knowing that a crime like that brought the same degree of cruel punishment in the olden times (but yes, she blames Chae Ryung's foolish behaviour due to Wang Woo who seriously should be punished too by now!), Wang So being deprived of his two people that he cherished so much and being victimize-d all over again, the sad song that played during Queen Yoo's death (like did she even deserve it?), Hae Soo pleading for Wook's life and eventually him bidding her a farewell!
At this point, I wonder if Princess Yeon Hwa could just deserve her punishment too!! I know, we all researched history due to the excitement of suspense this drama gave us, that tells us that she lived on to be the queen and gave birth to Gwangjong's son who eventually became the 5th ruler of Goryeo! But here, its not as if she can be overlooked of the tactics she played before becoming the queen (and maybe after as well lol). For a moment, I felt bad for Wook to have been betrayed by his own sister when he has never refused her for anything, even so till the point where he hid her crimes!! And then she still has the shame to ask him for one last favour which yes, helped Hae Soo to get away but at the end of the day, made Wang So and Hae Soo apart!
P.S - What was the book that Wang So read (closed, more precisely) when Ji Mong asked him not to send Hae Soo away that easily? I can read Japanese kanjis but hahah not Hanja!
Tbh, I do wish for a happy ending still (Poor cast worked so hard on this drama and the drama wasn't even treated better by SBS at the first place, atleast they deserve this much!). Ofcourse, it seems we will not get it (as seeing reactions of people who've watched the raw version of episode 20). Nonetheless, its been good weeks with this one!
Oh man, the writing has been a huge letdown with this one. The impressive world building and rich characterization…
YESSS I mean, the plot right now is so open that the writer has the freedom of turning the whole story in favour of Yoo Jin and make her character the one who is actually trying to save Anna.
Yoo Jin's character is the one character that has the liberty to be changed like that (okay, maybe her pretend husband could be reversed as well). But thats amazing, that means we can look out for twists hence increasing the suspense around the drama that makes it more popular!
Lol I can imagine Ruo Xi meeting the 4th prince in the modern age but haha such a coincidence that she meets the rebirth modern versions of all the princes since she got back from the past! :P

I mean, I don't even want her and Jae Ha to end up together but still I find her presence so dominating. Like her scenes with Jae Ha, her secretary's hatred towards Jae Ha, Yoo Jin's scene with her rivals etc are all the core scenes! They make me want to watch this drama!
(my personal opinion I hope is respected) Im so sad because there is just three episodes and so far from what…
Well, they did shower some light on her friendship with 13th and a lot more on the 10th but I was taken aback when they suddenly fit Jung into the scene with her! :P I didn't know that according to the novel or the Chinese drama, the 14th prince, Jung, held such a crucial role especially now at the end of the series.
Also, I heard that in the Chinese Scarlet Heart, only the 10th prince and his wife (I don't understand why Eun and SonDok were killed in this one then; maybe coz of minor differences in Korean and Chinese history that may have made the writers adjust the adaptation a bit?) find happiness by the end of the series! Is it?

"Moon that Embraces the Sun"
"Faith"
"Scholar who walks the night"
"Splash Splash Love"
"Sungkyungwan Scandal"
These, as long as I remember and have seen!
*waits until episode 20's subs are out*
Does that mean that they're going to give an alternative ending?
Haha, but just for a moment!

One last time today, fellow Moon Lovers!

I would freak out if I were her!
