I agree completely. How can you blame a 6 yo kid for something a dad did twenty years ago, especially when the kid is now an amazing adult? And to be so upset that you run out of the house at midnight in front of a car? What hysterics these people are.

Can we talk about the mini skirt the supposed "blind date" (but really engaged friend) was wearing? Could it have been any higher? When she sat down, I was afraid Victoria's Secret wouldn't be secret any longer, poor ML sitting across from her, I noticed she changed to "side saddle" later...good grief.

And I'm thankful for our sensible FL, the two moms are an hysteric and a passive, glad the current generation is less helpless and man-dependent. But to give credit where due, Ms. Medicated mom did do a good job of keeping FL at the apt a bit longer so that our hero could introduce her.

Just finished 22 and 23, the acting was good before this, the "Break up" episodes showed both their skills to the max, they both. knocked it out of the park. I'm in awe. Kudos to the director for not letting either of them get too emotional, the previous generation gave us enough of that.

I would think it's PPL. Jewelry often uses PPL, QoT had super expensive Bulgari pieces, they got pricier as the ratings went up lol. Odd tho that the Hermes scarf had no logo, just the trademarked orange color box. You often see Chanel misspelled w an extra N or spelled Chanal.

Re: his entrapment, the phrase "Golden Handcuffs" comes to mind. I was wondering if he could even just move out and get another job? No other biz would likely want to cross evil dad. He's so trapped, as you said. And these chaebol types don't seem to have a lot of savings, their worth tied up in privately held stocks....

SML feelings for FL seem genuine, he doesn't really register how inappropriate such a pricey gift is for a work associate, not to mention oblivious to her obvious disinterest....he appears somewhat bewildered at his seemingly genuine feelings as well. He's lost when it comes to non transactional dealings, it's a world foreign to his upbringing. And I agree, heartbreaking to see how much value he sets on that band-aid. That he placed in a special box in a closet filled w luxury goods.

while I do see your point, it seemed hasty but it had been empty for a long time. He was telling work associate things he didn't bother to tell his WIFE. Continued to lie, continued to put her second or third even. And when she walked away in the hospital? He just chowed down. They'd only been married two years, not even long enough to get bored! They should still have been in their honeymoon phase. He wasn't going to get any better.

Speaking of second male lead....I don't recall ever seeing him casually dressed? ML rarely wears a suit. SML, not even a casual sport coat/open shirt (that I recall?)--every time we see him (as I recall), he's full blown vest, starched shirt, fancy tie & maybe clip, full blown SUIT.

It's getting pretty noticeable, ML all cute and casual (those guns in the wife beater!) even in the workplace, and SML all gussied up at all times. Shows his unfortunate insecurity as a DV victim, likely since childhood (as someone pointed out). Can never let his guard down, makes up for his inner lack of confidence with an outer "show of force," not to mention, he's the director who isn't allowed financials? In reality he's powerless.

Hence the fancy suits. And luxury gifts. Everything has a label, Hermes, the fancy lunch box prepared by private chef, luxury sedan, usually w a driver, compared to ML sporty GWagon (which admittedly cost a fortune but looks more fun and casual). SML had a life devoid of love or affection and bases his idea of what life is all about by the definitions spewn by marketers of luxury goods.

Lacking in self esteem, SML clings to those labels to project his idea of power and self, in an attempt to mask his lack of it. I feel so bad for him.

Has anyone mentioned how few times SML dad looks someone in the eye? Rarely. Mostly he looks down, to the side, rarely looks at the person speaking. He's off in his own little nasty world. The
mom is really driving me nuts as well, is this stepford wife medicated? She's out of it. Also a DV victim? Maybe not, as passive as she is. ML apparently responded to advice from FL and is
trying to be nice to her i think? But his call of avoidance was a good one. She's just bad news. Poor SML tied to these two total parental losers.
