I’m watching it for 2ML and the gym guy couple. FF scenes w FL. It’s a bit cringe to see leads in their thirties (forties?) acting all embarrassed or freaked out w someone touching their hand. Are these people all in their early thirties and never dated? The young ish gym couple are refreshing by comparison. And I’m not sure why the girl is so touchy around the lawyer. Maybe I forgot but I also don’t care enough to go back to an earlier episode.

It's such a shame bc. ML should be so proud of these moments of drama release and the incredible job he did, and instead his team is probably in PR crisis mode.

Kdramas and Jdramas release one episode a WEEK and by then I've forgotten the plot and TBH I stop caring. I think 1 a day (by comparison) is great, especially w a complicated plot like this not to mention 40 episodes-- you couldn't keep up w all the machinations.

Someone commented before about this, but I didn't want to go back, and didn't really remember the scene later. Thanks for the link, wow this is genius. When a few of us saw it we were wondering what happened to the camera lol. Amazing.

I just rechecked it, I guess it doesn't look exactly like him. He's so amazingly handsome in a rugged/masculine way unike so many Kdrama MLs.

I loved that she didn’t overdo it either. That actress—or the director—has just the right touch. I’m constantly amazed.

I loved the uncle soooo much. And then I got worried bc it’s like they were setting him up for something.

I can’t believe anyone made a big deal out of that innocuous comment. People really need to get a life.

I get it but I actually think he looks great in the poster. That amazing profile, the nose, the jaw. I love his looks.

The two men guarding our heroine when the blind lady brings back her clothes, FL called them “fake soldiers,” are they not really ML’s men?

Yes as two people have said so far gets better and better if that’s even possible. The sad scenes are so sensitively handled. And the FL hits all the right notes. Not too maudlin, just perfection.

They don’t falter as of ep 19
ML and FL are both beyond talented but you could also say that for the entire cast. Casting was perfect.

Whoever edited this is a genius. Camera angles, steady camera, sometimes a shaky camera, a scene that’s off kilter, different angles of same scene, different atmosphere (I don’t know all the terms)….all to match the mood of the story (music is also excellent where mood is concerned)
you could watch POJ just for the camera work without dialogue. Every scene is a beautiful picture. It’s truly an amazing work of art. Sensitively done. I’ve said before, I’m in awe. I’m def going to watch it again. Whoever is behind this movie did everything right. Everyone must be so proud.

Yes I was also wondering if there was some episodic synopsis anywhere. I’m going to already have to write down names and who they are bc these names are not easy for me to keep straight. Let alone who’s with what faction.

I continue to be in awe of this drama. Ep 13 I believe: half the episode was drawing couplets and painting. Leaving aside an amazing warrior who is also poetic and artistic (and beyond handsome), but half an episode on what is basically a poetry/cultural lesson? The Oscars are coming up this weekend. Can anyone imagine a HW drama infused w that much culture? No? Haha.
And the neighbors lining up w gifts and wanting a banner for their homes. Whoever adapted this/planned this/cast and wrote this—what talent.
And the cinematography and lighting is perfect, every scene is a painting and especially during the fireworks, the lighting on ML face. I’m only on ep 15 but just wow. I’ll be watching everything the ML is in now. The cast is perfection, as is the OST.
By the way i Love the aunt and uncle, especially the uncle. He has such a lovely laugh and cute rapport w the wife. Nothing better happen to them.

Yes I love JKY as well!! I agree, even when his drama is bad it’s ok. Atypical family was quite interesting as was his turn in My Mister, so against type.
