Improvements for the show ( based on my opinion)1. Just focus on the ml and the baby. - this would have made the…
Sound like good suggestions. I’m only on ep 4 and surprised how much I’m enjoying it so far. There are some really well done moments, like when he looks at his first camera and remembers throwing it away. ML is doing a good job and I honestly think FL is well cast. The character is being herself w him and it’s refreshing to see a FL not trying to be something she’s not around a guy.
And the fact that the actress is pushing 45 makes it even cringier lol
I’m familiar w Botox and her face is too expressive for that—or if she has done it, it’s done very well and not overdone. . I think she’s just aging very well. Some people just do age v well.
I’m going to watch second episode only bc of Park Sung Hoon. But honestly, these women all look to be pushing thirty or early thirties (or even older) and they act like middle schoolers around men. It’s embarrassing. Why would the lawyer want to date her? She barely said a word to him the entire first episode AFTER she had rejected him very cruelly with v little empathy to make the rejection kinder years before. During which she apparently dated no one lol. All the scenes w men so far are more appropriate for a teen. A young teen lol. Unless that’s really how it is in Korea, idk. We’ll see how second episode goes but I’m not optimistic. Oh—and she looks to be in her thirties, frankly seems older. Has no spark. Makes very little effort to be outgoing w guys, all interior monologues. And she goes on a blind date w PSH at that advanced age. And then is all flummoxed by his very reasonable and mature question? Has a panic attack, spills her drinks and spends ten minutes in the bathroom all worried about her dress. Honestly what a joke. Oh. Two more things. What is it w FLs always turning down ML offer of a ride? It’s constant. “Let me drive you home.” Oh no no no!! Hands fluttering, giggling. WTH? In so many Kdramas. Second: amazing meals, they start to eat, something comes up and they walk away without even eating the food. Happens all the time. What a waste. Almost done w second episode. I gotta say was a LOT better than ep 1.
Most dramas expect the male lead to be a saint willing to be humiliated and harmed to somehow demonstrate their…
I do get super tired of nice guy ML who are wimps and let FL walk all over them. Such a cliché. For once I’d like the ML to have a little self respect and walk away to find someone who appreciates them. It happens time and time again and the writers make Korean males look bad imho. And they make some of these the women seem self-centered and spoiled.
Nope. I am happy that Pei Zhen will go out into the world and be his own man, and not repeat the mistakes of his…
Bravo. Excellent background color for us westerners. I'll look forward to reading your links. Haven't seen finale yet.
Does acceptable Confucian corporal punishment include golf clubs across face? I saw a golf club being used on an employee in first ep of a Kdrama, I dropped it.
I agree completely. How can you blame a 6 yo kid for something a dad did twenty years ago, especially when the…
I'm always amazed when these people open the door--especially late at night--without even saying "Who's there?" or have a peephole. It also amazes me that mom just waltzes in son's apt-- she has the passcode? The parents in C and K dramas are always just barging in randomly....no boundaries, no privacy for the relatives.
