When is South Korea going to get rid of their Draconian, outdated, punitive drug laws? Drug addiction, like alcoholism,…
I agree. Marijuana use is legal in some countries for a number of years now. 8 months jail for that seems excessive. The sentencing for these non- violent drug users, as opposed to punitive actions against the selling and distribution of illegal drugs, seem contradictory and harsh to their rehabilitation. By the same spirit, someone who is an alcoholic or a chain smoker should also be in jail? Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Bill Gates, Michael Phelps, Steve Job should also served behind bars? Some of us, on a high horse, can judge drug users as weaker beings but we should be grateful that we were never put in a trial where the only way out from our misery is escapism.
Zhou Ye looks convincing as He Yan in the photos. In fact she as a general looks better than Ryan Cheung 😆. As a female she looks gorgeous. Can't wait to see the rest of the crews.
I prefer to watch C-drama nowadays. I've developed a taste for historical drama with its plot building, amazing costumes and drama set. I never thought I could watch 50+ episodes drama but now I do. I do read the reviews first before investing the time into a drama. C entertainment must have a lot more money invested into them. I think since watching dramas like Love in the Galaxy and Reset I am super super impressed with the Chinese storytelling style so not only have I switched over to C drama but I've also started reading Chinese historical fictions!
K drama also has a lot of cliffhangers and repetitive soapy songs which I don't really appreciate.
honestly, i dropped hidden love, ZLS wasnt giving what she usually gave this time, the character felt too emotionally…
Yes I too feel the same about her character at the start but it's not until she started Uni that we see the maturity kicks in. It's a story about teenager crush and infatuation. Once I clued on that this was her character I could relate to her story much much better. Zhao Lu Si acting is on point to whom she is supposed to be. I'm used to her being a strong character so this was a big change to see her taking this kind of role. She is such a versatile actress.
I'm the opposite, I was bored to tears with Hidden Love, couldn't get past episode 2. Even tried skipping ahead…
Yes I don't think C Drama is for everyone. It's paced differently because they tend to have more episodes. I just like how the story is padded out and there are more time for character growth. The FL does seem naive and her character is written like that but she grew to be a great character with time.
I'm watching this on Netflix in tandem with the C Drama Hidden Love. Part way through it becomes very obvious how amazing Hidden Love is, in contrast to the sub par storyline and acting of King Land drama. I've since dropped King Land. The couple of Hidden Love gives me what I want in a love story...the feel of romance and absolute thrill of watching a couple falling in love and staying in love. Zhao Lu Si hands down is an amazing ( and beautiful) actress. If this is the kind of quality C dramas are aiming for then rest assure they are going to overtake k drama in the near future in terms of popularity. I love this 24 episodes length.

I think I'm going to drop King Land drama though; I'm not terrible invested in this couple nor the story line.
