This cemented why I love Zhao Lu Si!!
I'm watching this on Netflix in tandem with the C Drama Hidden Love. Part way through it becomes very obvious how amazing Hidden Love is, in contrast to the sub par storyline and acting of King Land drama. I've since dropped King Land. The couple of Hidden Love gives me what I want in a love story...the feel of romance and absolute thrill of watching a couple falling in love and staying in love. Zhao Lu Si hands down is an amazing ( and beautiful) actress. The supporting cast are incredible. If this is the kind of quality C dramas are aiming for then rest assure they are going to overtake k drama in the near future in terms of popularity. I love this 24 episodes length too.Was this review helpful to you?

Excellent watch and rewatch!
A string of negative reviews prompt me to add my 2 cents here.If you are going to write a negative reviews please first make sure that you have your eyes wide open about what genre you think this drama is under. If you huffing and puffing about a time travel story line that doesn't make sense, or a thriller that didn't take off then you should add a disclaimer that you have watched this drama with a different/ wrong expectation. Fangirlverdict might have save you a lot of time if you have read her non spoiler review first: https://thefangirlverdict.com/2024/06/09/review-lovely-runner/
This drama is wonderful and will stay as a favourite for a very long time.

Zhao Lu Si carried the heavy weight in this show. I love watching her scenes. She is a remarkable actress and I think any male lead would just shine next to her. I can't wait for her next drama.

Still a strong favourite 18 years later!
A strong story and a fabulous cast transcend time.I rewatch this drama recently and I'm still blown away by how much I love these characters. I love Go Eun Chan and the actress behind her role. Her acting scenes were spot on. Not many could cry so beautifully and still dressed like a boy.
It's nostalgic and a reminder of a simpler time when mobiles phones and the internet didn't rule our lives.
If you haven't seen this I highly recommend it.

This one trumps it all for my favourite romance drama!!!
I have been watching dramas for years. I have become my own expert about my own like and dislikes. It's a strange things to say but after a lot of dramas you tend to come across tropes and storylines that are predictable and no longer hold their charms. Just like a jaded relationship- try your best but sadly it no longer feels special. Romance dramas in particular are difficult. The audience have seen it all and there is nothing new under the sun to like. But boy I was wrong with this one. It got my attention right from the first 5 minutes and it never wavers right through a freaking 40-episode session. I suddenly have an even wider and newer perspectives about romance and relationships. Something in me has been rekindled. The bar has been set impossibly higher. I feel giddy and delighted. How is it possible that a romance so super clean can have many a scenes that make me blushed like mad? In short, I am in love with drama, and will be so for a long long long time.
Give this drama a go. Just watch the first 10 minutes of it and you will know what I mean. You can thank me later.

A must watch!
This is so so good right to the very last episode. There was never a dull moment where I felt I needed to skip. The fight scenes were amazing. The storyline line is tight, cohesive and keeps you on an edge. ALL the actors and actresses, not just the main leads were excellent and endearing to me. It gives me feeling of what I have for the characters in Reply 1988. Don't even bother putting this in a watchlist, just press go and watch this now.Was this review helpful to you?
