I’m completely obsessed with Lovely Runner, I think this is going in my top 5 dramas of all times… by the way, also thank you for your work on the timeline, I’m amazed at the things you managed to catch up, I loved to reread your timeline while waiting for new episodes

Are they really not releasing the preview for tomorrow episode to make us suffer at the cliffhanger?

I know, I agree with you… In principle I am not opposed to main characters not ending together (in some dramas relationships were so toxic that I would have preferred main leads not ending together). But I really suffer when characters I like have a hard time and are unjustly accused or abused… But I will still be here for the ride, I already like the both of them and I just saw some clips in raw :(

I knew they weren’t really going to break up! The writing of this show has been too intelligent up until now to even consider the abused trope of “breaking up for the other’s sake”! I’m so happy the story didn’t take that turn ;)

I completely agree with you, I think both if them have rather toxic behaviours, making choices and assumptions in her place. She should reject them both or at least she should strongly reset her boundaries before even thinking of dating one of them...

Good point! I think that at that time MM was definitely crying for the death of the previous incarnation of the Deity (his mother of sorts), but the fact that she and DK’s parents died at the same time might not be a coincidence at all, and could reveal something more about their intertwined destiny... Anyway there needs to be a bigger picture that we don’t yet see, there are too many things/hints that don’t add up, and I refuse to believe it’s bad writing or plot holes. I am liking the drama so far, so I hope to see a big plot twist that connects all the dots in the next episodes!

By now I am convinced that this isn’t the fist time that MM and DK meet each other and fall in love. I also think that MM knows this and remembered about the past after their first kiss (and this would also explain why he is so madly in love with her in so little time). Here are the clues I put together to support this theory. First of all, in episode 7 MM and DK have a conversation in the car (after he disappeared and came back) and he says that he is angry at himself for forgetting everything, but we don’t get to know about what he forgot. Later on in episode 8 MM and the Deity have a conversation where she says “I always hope I am wrong, I hope you guys are right” and MM replies “but we are always wrong and you are right”, therefore suggesting this is not the first time this situation presents itself? Maybe it’s just an ambiguous translation, I can’t say as my Korean is not good enough to understand the original. Finally, in the preview for next week episode (ep11) we hear the Deity say that she will help them by making them forget about each other. About when they first met, I have two hypotheses: either they met over different life times, they loved each other, she was doomed, then they forgot about each other and DK died, then she is reincarnated and the cycle is repeated; or they met in the present lifetime and somehow the Deity brings back time when she makes them forget, thus making them go in cycles anyway. I have the impression that the Deity is hoping they find a way to break the cycle but can’t really interfere, therefore she pushes them around and talks to them in riddles, coming off as a villain but not really being one. I guess we’ll see if this theory has any sense at all in the next couple of episodes 😊. Let me know what you think guys, I’ll love to discuss this further on!

Ok, here are my two cents about what’s going on in the main leads plot, I am posting it in the following comment and marking it as spoiler as I got a hint from ep11 preview.

You know, I was also wondering about the song while I was watching that scene. To me it sounds like a generic south Italian song, kind of a "tarantella" dance. It reminds me of the folk festivals in my grandma's village when I was little. Unfortunately the words are not very clear, I tried searching a bit with the words I could understand, but no results...

Uhm, I would say his pronunciation is ok-ish... I think it’s good enough for an international audience, but I would never mistake him for someone who grew up in Italy. To me he sounds like a foreigner with a good pronunciation. However, you can tell that he definitely put a lot of effort in it, so I’m satisfied!
