On The Spies Who Loved Me Oct 23, 2020
1st week aka introduction or setup week. This is meme spy show aka comedy colour given to action. 1st episode clearly spoke what the whole show is about. Its a true Korean cliche rom-com. The 1st of 2020 - Unlike that food or music nonsense drama. As far as i can see it is falling into the trope of mindless fun, where logic has no merit and where you shouldn't take things seriously. Romance of main couple and their shenanigans together is writer's only concern. And i think that's not to bad a strategy either.
This show even reminded me of Hollywood movie of Tom Cruise + Cameroon Diaz
Its predictable but not annoying for now. All the characters looked alright except the ultra feeble tone of heroine.
Overall, 2nd and 3rd week will tell where this drama stands.

Did you have youth days? In the age of 20-25, when you full of dreams? It's all about this! It's not soap-opera,…
Am i the subject matter? Am i the show? Why get so defensive over a fictional drama? If few virtual identities think getting personal over a badly written fiction is a good idea then good luck to them for their delusions.

This drama almost a barbie doll drama. Slow-motion forced meetups and entries, Lighting and everyone stunned. That for a drama named Start-Up. 1st 2 episodes have merely soap-opera going on and writer will keep it on for all future episodes. There gonna be nonsensical problems so as to show how hero team is pushed into corner then equally nonsensical solutions that will solve their problems immediately. All in the name of development. This show is nothing more than a wishful fantasy of idle minds. Day Dreaming. A shinny delusion to console yourself for the imaginary hardwork your ever did. One more copy-paste job without substance and same old hullabaloo of a typical korean romance.

That you can question those who think writer gives inkling of incest. I have nowhere said there is an incest, even if it has one then what is problem with that?

I though this drama had only 12 episodes. 16 episodes are too much for this thin of a story. The show is stretched as 6 episodes have aired and you can clearly see some actions, events keep on repeating. That does show how much lack of material writer has.
There is nothing new, nothing special, nothing refreshing in this drama. Predicable.
Too much noise pollution but director has done a pretty good job. Heroine is a headache in parts, hero is frustrating in parts, but, side characters have better story and presentation.
Hero frustrated many among audience - but i never felt it that way.Surely hero can annoy you but overall i never got the feeling that he was malicious . On the other hand i felt heroine to be a little annoying at times. Well, in a korean romance drama every heroine is drunkard. Also, 1st 2 episodes we saw heroine into her job but from 3rd episode it became all about her romance than her goal, career, job and dreams. This happens with almost all korean romance heroines. Episode 6 last 3 minutes are quite good and make impact and turn this drama into below average to mediocre. I don't have much hopes from future episodes so i think this drama will keep on languishing in mediocrity than elevating its level.

Description fools you. Even trailers fool you. You expect something more refreshing but get same old cliches and tropes and a media you have already seen far too many times. Caricature of characters don't bring much confidence. It was predictable and lacked depth all around.
1st episode was a bit too long and lighting bad for eyes. 1st episode had nothing that could be taken as a benefit. Writer at best is manipulating audiences emotions for personal gain. Many people gonna fall for it. Even i was swayed a bit but then got my composure back to see the reality behind the thick makeup. The only hope you can have is from the strat-up but that will be just a prop and we will dive mostly in fully bloomed soap opera with typical korean romance shenanigans in next upcoming weeks.

Description of the drama is far different from the drama itself. Description is somewhat misleading. Episode 1 was done well for a kdrama but story start from episode 3-4. Its not even a Con drama. Director could have done better with editing. But you can see that is director's way to confuse the audience and then claim, look how i did this and that. I call this act cheap trick from both writer as well as director. Confusion != good writing and direction. Episodes are stretched and there things could be speed up a bit.
Overall, above average show for now. Better watch among the current airing dramas.

The meme action show is back and 1st episode is translated. This time more spice is added to family dynamic. Overall, another light watch.
I watched he 1st episode and story has become so much better. Fighting and action is still pretty meme but everything else has become better. Now this show isn't anymore a meme show.

This show is has all the -ve things of a weekend drama. The saving grace of the show is Hero's Parents aka Husband, Wife relationship dynamic and how and when it will see a big change when heroine's current mother enters the scenario. This is what i'm most interested in.
We already have few unofficial Love triangles formed.
And i don't have problem with this incest which mostly is a bait thrown by the writer.
1st scene - you think they are childhood friends and then you get to know they are siblings and then you get that they all are adopted. Writer wants to play controversy for the gain of ratings but let's see how far this go.

It's fine, taste will always differ. But maybe rate the drama after half of it has aired? It's only been two episodes.
I'm rating it for 1st week.
