I think she means to focus on her personal life more. Let’s be honest, there is always imminent danger lurking with her ex in-laws and the princess being in the same city. Also the whole thing with her fake identity. She needs to clear that up once and for all before she can really live her life.

I think because of her past, she’s very insecure and question a lot of the bolder decisions Mudan makes. At this point I’m not confident in her to not betray Mudan. It might not be intention though. Maybe she would do something and think it will help her.
