I don’t think she feels she’s not clean enough for him. She’s upset that he deceived her. In her mind, everything he ever said was a lie to use her to get to Lu Wen.

I think it’s because she actually fell for him and the person that have the power to hurt you most is someone you truly care about.

I haven’t watched the latest episodes yet but from the beginning and while it’s sweet, the deceit and betrayal was too much. Now it’s like how can she trust him after all of that.

Seems like someone was definitely ignored as a kid.

I don’t think most people are romanticizing him, at least I’m not. In fact, a lot of views couldn’t WAIT for the FL to find out the truth and let him have it (at least 3-4 episodes of groveling for me)!

However, given the circumstances, the fact that he did not deceive her because he’s diabolical and how he fell for her, I’m rooting for this romance.

Lu Wen is “bandit” and a worthy opponent of the ML. ML want to capture him for years already but is unable to.
