I agree with you, his low self esteem is a major turn off for me. I want him to fight for her in front of his rivals and not do all these little things behind the scene. It looks so weak!

This comment just broke my heart in a thousand pieces. This is why XL and XY’s story touched so many of us. Having to choose between love and responsibility is hard enough and to protect her without her knowing.. it’s too much.

Yes! From what I remember she’s only been kind of mean and bossy to Jing in the village. She only showed she was a little shy when she took off his clothes and a little jealous of his maids. Maybe there were some other incidents but they didn’t make as big of an impact as XL’s scenes.

Remember that scene when XL was going to rescue her from her cousin near the water? She knew he was injured and didn’t think he should take on everyone. Somehow, they understood each other and he left. That’s connection, man!

You know when Jing was poisoned by the ink and fell on her lips? Yeh, I felt nothing.

Also, I don’t know if it’s because I’m too focused on XL but I really can’t pinpoint when XY fell for Jing. I know he’s done so much for her but it just seemed lukewarm. Waiting to see how they up their romance.

This is my biggest problem with this story. they keep throwing us all these ultra romantic sexy scenes with XY and the demon. HOW are we supposed to ship jing after all of that??? Even that supposedly swoony scene with Jing fell flat for me. 😔

I would LOVE to see the story of XY’s parents but it will be even more angsty than this one so I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it.

The OST is playing nonstop in my car. My husband is kinda annoyed haha
