Me too. I don't want a love triangle bcs it's like a triple death to Tilan. Judging on the posters the couples are fixed. If the love triangle is the focus here then the posters would be different, isn't it? 🤔

I wrote similar comment about how I dislike Haishi's character way down below 😂 I never like a FL shouting "shifu, shifu" all day, daydreaming and ignorant. But Haishi will change. She's slowly changing though, especially when she finally becomes a woman.

Have you seen Ju Jingyi "cosplayed" as a man in some of her dramas? She's even more "convincing" 😂😂😂

Somehow I often stumbled into watching awful dramas. For example: Legend of Zu, The Mystic Nine, A Lifetime Love, When Love Walked In, Flowers in Fog, and a lot more...

After ep 18 they should've started on two main plots: 1. Investigating the truth behind the village massacre. 2. Working with Qing An to kill Qing Tai with Baoning's weapon invention. But then the writer made a U-turn by adding the useless mom and daughter, more Miaorong & Zhao Xiao, Qing An wasting the dark squad, suddenly the war broke, then 5 years later.... 🙄 the writer even had the fun to create a hole between our couple 🤦‍♀️

Me too hoping for a happy ending. I read a lot of novel spoilers from the comments and knowing how much it changed from the novel actually gives me hope... I can't stand another Journey of Flower 😭 really wish the emperor won't marry/love Haishi bcs I'm rooting for Tilan. She deserves to be happy after all those... besides, she's all alone in the palace, no support, and the emperor is like a time bomb for her.

The whole plot drown into a mess starting from ep 19. Then it focused too much on Miaorong, threw away the 2 main plots, and suddenly they had time warp to 5 years later 🙄 instead of finding the truth and do something about Qing Tai, the writer decided to put those lunatics into the spotlight 🤦‍♀️ who cares about them? Seriously.

Currently it's not boring. If you like any of the leads, strong heroine, fantasy, war this might be for you. Be prepared for some angst...

Wow I just realized that! RFY is currently in a mess. I feel tired watching it and want to rest until next week's finale.

In the novel she got married to the emperor, and Tilan doesn't exist in the novel. From the comments I read they said the Fang Zhu is actually an eunuch, and his relationship with Haishi is father and son. They changed a lot for the tv series so expect a different ending as well.

Thanks to the absurd writing, I'll wait for next week to watch it all in one go 😂 in the meantime I will dive myself to Pearl Eclipse.

The top 3 characters I hate the most in JoF: Zihua, Mo Yan, Ni Mantian. These 3 are the reason Qiangu couldn't live in peace 😭 everyone that sincerely love and support Qiangu died. I can't watch another JoF/Qiangu.

The emperor isn't evil, he's an antihero. More like a desperately helpless lovesick man. He judges things on 2 sides: interesting or boring. Bcs he lost his love, he finds everything is useless and plain, living his days with no dream or goal. I hate he treats Tilan like trash, but smh he still has the willing to forgive or even conscience to care. Perhaps bcs she dares to go against him under those polite words. But he is still a good emperor. He cares for his country.

It was TOO late! What Qiangu and Zhuran said about Zihua are correct. He never trust her, only believes his eyes, he even forbid her from confessing her love, he'd rather die than admitting his love. When she died he cried and said "I will give you anything you want, will do anything you want, you just have to say it". Yes bro you didn't allow her and didn't even have an ear to listen to her 🙄 sadly their kiss scenes got edited out and the final few eps got cut too that the flow didn't make sense. Fans were so angry at Zihua that they wished Qiangu would end up with Sha jiejie or Dongfang 😂 btw Zihua decided to continue to be her teacher until it's time to tell her bcs she's basically a newborn human.

Anyway, I'm holding a hope that this will have a happy ending bcs they changed a lot of things from the novel. Tilan's existence will change the emperor and will give way for our main couple to be happy. But I'm more confused of what will happen to Zhuoying since he has different appearance and names...

Me too! Currently I'm channeling my heart for Tilan. She's the most miserable character here. She's all alone, no one protects her, no one to talk to. She hasn't done anything wrong, but even her existence is wrong in the emperor's eyes 😭 I'd rather have Mr. Tang to take her away. I don't know if she will have happy ending, but that emperor needs to redeem his mistreatment to her!

It's her real voice (just like the others) and bcs she's playing a teenage girl, not a woman, she must use her high nasally voice instead the mature one 😅

That's what I thought when I watched the trailer. I'm afraid this will be tragic and abusive like Journey of Flower. However seeing the characters and the plot it's less torturing than JoF. In JoF Zihua is cruel, abusive and he keeps on torturing Qiangu, both her heart and physically. He despises the love between teacher and student, he hates to admit his love to her even until her death 🤦‍♀️ at least here Fang Zhu is really kind and gentle. Living as a man won't give Haishi safety, so he tries hard to protect her.

I know she will change. That's why I can't wait for it. I was just shocked bcs I didn't know Yang Mi will play the "shifu, shifu" girl 🙄 I never like the daydreaming and clinging type of FL. That combined with the ignorant personality, the ability to justify her wrongdoings. I really wanted to slap her every time she ignores Fang Zhu 🤦‍♀️ the only thing that I like from Haishi now is she's strong.

Before I watched the trailer I thought Yang Mi would play a "manly", mysterious guard with darker aura bcs of her dark past. Turns out she played a daydreaming girl, selfish, ignorant, the type that what she thinks is the right thing 🙄 plus I never like a FL shouting "shifu, shifu" all day 😑 I just CAN'T like Haishi. I might have to wait until she becomes the consort to see her showing her elegance and maturity.

I feel so bad for Tilan. She was sent for political marriage, but the emperor wanted her dead, and just bcs she looks like Zizan, he despises her. What did she do wrong? She doesn't deserve all those mistreatment! I'd rather have Mr. Tang to take her away! When Haishi marries the emperor, what becomes of Tilan? Based on the posters seem like the emperor and Tilan are a couple, but how? He will fall for Haishi though.

I LOVE Zhuoying! He's the cutest! But looking at the posters and this page seems like he will change identity or some sort? I don't want him to turn evil!

I watched this bcs it's on wetv and I knew Yang Chaoyue from Heart Signal so I thought to give it a try. The theme of this drama is BULLYING. Feng Wu and Zhao Ge are constantly being bullied. How old are they? 10? Ridiculous! Thank goodness Feng Wu isn't weak. She fights back and teaches them a lesson. But seeing Feng Wu's character, it's really similar to Chaoyue's real personality. I guess that's why she connected really well. Chaoyue did good as Feng Wu.

However seeing Chaoyue and Xu Kaicheng is like uncle and niece rather than a couple. Chaoyue is still a kid, she doesn't know about love, never been in love, her love acting isn't believable. Also, Chaoyue is radiating teen vibe, it didn't connect with Kaicheng. Her "love" is more like a gratitude to her savior uncle and "oh if I don't choose you I'll look bad". Really I couldn't feel she's really deeply in love with Linyuan, she always avoided him and focused more on her mission. Meanwhile Wang Haoxuan (Yu Mingye) also radiating teen vibe which connected well with Chaoyue. I guess that's why viewers like them more, their relationship is more believable. They are more dynamic and natural. They have mutual understanding and trust.

I don't like Zhao Ge and Xuan Yi's story. Xuan Yi always avoided her, being this stoic and cold person, and focused on his study. As if Zhao Ge is having a one sided love. Xuan Yi likes her, yes, but they lacked the sparks bcs the writer made him so distant and only cared for her when she's in danger. And suddenly at the end he wants to get married 🙄 it's ridiculous how Zhao Ge had more "love scenes" with Zuo bitch than Xuan Yi 😱

Most characters in this drama are so unlikable. My favorite character might be Feng Xun. He looks cheap, but actually really strong and rational. Also Yu Mingye for his unconditional love and being a free spirit.

I like the ending. It was rushed, but realistic. I just don't like her master sneaks up behind her like that. Overall I'll give it 7 for a strong heroine, beautiful cg, effects, costumes and hairstyles.
