Yeah the novel is so good!! The character development of both leads made me bawl my eyes. They go through a lot to overcome difficulties and different standings. I love Song Mo, but Yan Shang is so adorable.

In the novel, yes, but Taohua already knew about it. Qingtai was the one who fed her poison, but she lets Qingtai stays bcos she is easy to read. She even said to Qingtai that she can entrust her life to Qingtai, but she can't trust her completely. Qingtai likes Taohua so she is loyal to her instead of Lu. Qingtai also hates Zaiye.

They can't create a new theme bcos of the damn censorship. But tbh it is year 2025, what kind of plot hasn't been used in drama or movie? Novel authors can write anything they want, but screenwriter need to pass the censorship before it is allowed to be produced and broadcasted. Sad reality in c-ent.

So are Wuyin and Lu mother and son???? Lu sent her son to Qi? Is that why Wuyin said he and Taohua have connection? Perhaps the writer didn't want to make a Wu person to be the emperor so in the drama they changed it to Wuyin as a Beiyuan person? But it doesn't make sense bcos Lu wanted the silver mine. If Wuyin becomes the emperor of Qi, isn't it better than stealing the mine?

You're welcome! Tbh when I saw fansite pictures when they were filming i had a hard time telling who is who, but after a while it is actually easy to tell. The more you see them the easier it is.

This drama finally obtained distribution license!!! The episode numbers became 24! Finally they decided to take it off the shelf!

Only the key events are the same, but A LOT of things and characters changed drastically that it became a different story. The novel is really good, but the writing is a bit poor. However the plot twist and characters are much more interesting. I suggest you to read it after the drama finishes.

1. Beiyuan and Qi are far from e/o. They need to spend 1-2 months to go and return. Even in the novel Zaiye complained bcos it took 2 months to finally get something.
2. Info about Taohua is top secret.
3. Zaiye didn't plan to marry her. It was her who forced him
4. Zaiye planned to kill Taohua. Who would order an investigation of someone he would kill?
5. He ordered an investigation bcos she piqued his interest as rival.

When they first appear you may mistaken them played by the same people. But tbh it is actually easy to tell the differences between them once the 3rd prince comes on screen more. I made a list on how to tell the differences below.

Wuyin (3rd): pointy chin, pretty boy, smiling face, from side profile his nose bridge bent inward.

Wuxia (4th): long square jawline, small round lips, high nose bridge, looking all serious.

The things with them rather than saying it is "misunderstanding", it is bcos they don't share secrets. They don't trust e/o even though they cooperate. He is suspicious by nature, while she is surrounded by enemies and has brother to protect. But don't worry. Zaiye regrets his actions to her and she will return to him eventually.

I saw that post. Tbh Xu Zhengxi looked so much younger during that investment event, I was pleasantly surprised. But saying he is more outstanding is rude. People's taste is different, both actors have different charms. Why need to compare? The actors have good relationship and have fun in shooting. Tbh the reason I was interested in Meng Ziyi is bcos I saw post about how she was scolded by her manager and boss, they called her stupid and so on. Her staff and agency treated her bad. They didn't protect her by law when she was bullied online. Only when she finally rose in popularity these 2-3 years, they then treat her good. Even she said it herself that they don't scold her anymore.

Those are black fans. Usually they want the drama to be buried. I don't believe HY's fans to behave like that. Xu Zhengxi is a senior and more famous. It is ridiculous he is getting attacked bcos his character is the SML. Even if he comes to the filming set everyday, nothing wrong with it.

About Gu Qingzhi and Shen Xihe, I have wrote about it below. Her fans didn't ask for the script to be changed, but demanded the staff to come clean and explain things. Meng Ziyi has been struggling as well and her agency treated her bad. Only in recent years she became popular thanks to Wonderland. Her fans don't want her to be trampled again.

In the novel, it is explained that a person who has Gu poison can't get pregnant, almost impossible. That's why she keeps avoiding the topic of children everytime Zaiye asks him to give birth to his children. After she returns to Zhao Kingdom, she finds out she is pregnant almost 3 months.

The novel and drama are like 2 different stories. Only the key events are similar.
