Me too! So when i was reading TPG novel, I thought oh this FL is so similar with Hua Liuli! I could imagine Meng Ziyi as Taohua. But what did I get? A different person 😭

He is the teacher of Taohua and Changjue. He taught Taohua the charm skills which could hypnotize men (this doesn't work on Zaiye). He taught Changjue fighting skills. He wears red robe and has silver hair.

Qian Baimei deeply loves Taohua and he is the last love rival for Zaiye. He is a man from pugilist world so he roams the world. He has been searching for the cure to Taohua's poison.

He doesn't exist in the drama. There is a man named Qian Mochen, the advisor on Empress Lv's side. On the characters chart it is written he is Taohua's master.

The producer cast MZY first, way before they cast LXY. She had signed the contract on Q4 of 2023.

Meng Zhenzhen will surely die considering she becomes evil and will most likely marry Wuyin. Zaiye has grudge on Meng family and will make sure them pay.

This!!!! The reason why I feel yuck watching romance movie or tv series is bcos it is full of sexual activity. First meeting and they already go to bed. But somehow I feel so happy and digging for romance in historical cdrama. The subtle skinskip, the blooming first love, the shyness and awkwardness, it's just feel sweet.

Also, her brother will be killed. Wuxia will be killed while Qingying will be a fugitive. Wuyin will then become the emperor with Lv as his empress. Happy ending 🤣

Or it could be Meng Zhenzhen. Why would he chose the first concubine who died to be the SFL instead of Mei Chaoxue or Consort Lan? The writer also robbed every relationships Taohua should have with other male characters.

Nope. Originally she can outsmart him, pretentious, naughty, and she handles everything by herself. Which is why Zaiye needs her to execute his plans, but she doesn't need his help to save her life. The screenwriter downgraded Taohua so much that she became a helpless, weak and reckless. I once said Taohua is so similar with Hua Liuli (RR), but after watching the drama, she became a different person.

So Meng Zhenzhen will marry Wuyin, I guess? Both of them will go down together along with the whole Meng family. I only want for Wuyin to finally realizes that Lv doesn't love him at all.

They do work together. They both looking for clues. However she wants him not to indulge in love and just focus on dealing with the enemies. They have a lot to work on, no time for love.

Yes Qian Baimei doesn't exist here 😭 he is my most fav male character in the novel. The screenwriter seems to hate the original FL so he basically created a different person.

I think that's why the screenwriter changed the drama from female pov into male pov. He changed the FL's character so much that she becomes a completely different person, while making the ML such a sweetheart.

Anyway, what Taohua means by lets part ways means they should not indulge in love, just purely cooperation. They have something bigger to deal with. Even Zaiye wants to keep her from getting involved, trying to help her.

Sadly this drama might not reach higher. The heat index was 26000. There is no offline promotions. The drama deviates too much from the novel, the editing is sloppy, the writing is sometimes a mess. The acting and chemistry saved this drama from a complete disaster.

The difference between Wuyin and Zaiye is Wuyin is blindly in love, like a real sick puppy. Empress Lv seems to not love him at all. She only cares about power.

Zaiye is deeply in love with Taohua and she loves him too. They can put aside their feelings for greater goods. Together they are strong and they compliment e/o.

The novel has HE. The poison has no antidote and Empress Lv committed suicide. Bcos Zaiye wants to spend the remaining times with Taohua, he took her to a peach blossom mountains where he already built a mansion to retire. Taohua survives bcos she gave birth to a daughter.

First, Taohua is 18, Wuxia (4th prince) is 16. In the novel, Wuyin (3rd prince) is 20.

Second, the story is supposed to happen during the warring states or three kingdoms: Zhao, Wei, Wu. In the drama, Zhao became Beiyuan, Wei became Qi. These three kingdoms are in stalemate. Beiyuan (Zhao) is in decline, politically in chaos, corruption everywhere. The emperor is sick and the prince is sidelined by the new empress as she became the regent. Qi (Wei) is the strongest in military and a prosperous country. The drama doesn't show Wu.

Third, due to its declining state, Beiyuan deems for money. One easy way is to steal money from Qi. Money can do anything: bribe officials, train soldiers, fund wars, etc.

Wuyin is most likely having a one sided crush on Empress Lv and wants to help her rule over Qi. So he is eager for the throne. We don't know how they met.

What you said is interesting. Empress Lv could be the disciple. Or perhaps the disciple saw the peach blossom poison when she went to Beiyuan.

If someone is really amnesia, he will not remember anything including his name, but Taohua doesn't. She fell from a cliff and it caused a trauma or shock to her brain that it made her mind in a mess. She remembers everything except her time with Zaiye. She will regain her memories on ep 22.

Sadly the drama is different from the novel. The main reason she doesn't want to involve Zaiye is:
1. In her heart, he isn't her family.
2. They have different plans, so she seeks help from Wuxia instead.

But in both universe, there will be wars between 2 countries initiated by Zaiye to help Taohua conquer Beiyuan.
