The first episode, where the siblings were separated, they still spent years there. Taohua had to train herself before she is sent to Qi. The siblings have 3 years age gap. When Taohua went to Qi, she is 18. Means Changjue now is 15. We can roughly calculate how many years passed after the separation in ep 1.

That cricket can never be an empress. She isn't suitable to be the mother of a country, the example of all ladies, manage the back palace and harem. All she will do is going out to kick some thief. Idk why the scriptwriter made a messy character like this to be paired with Wuxia, the future emperor. 🤮

Perhaps 10 out of 11 scriptwriters here hated the FL and the novel, so they made a completely different FL and story for the drama 😒

The Legend of Heroes is divided into 2 parts: 30 eps tells about main story of Guo Jing and Huang Rong, the remaining 30 eps is the PREQUEL which tells the story of the five masters, including past story of Huang Yaoshi and Hong Qigong.

This 30 eps consists 4 different stories: Eastern Heretic and Western Venom, Southern Emperor and Northern Beggar, Nine Yin Manual, The Battle at Mt. Hua.

Each of this story has 8 eps, with Battle at Mt. Hua will have 6 eps.

There is a rumor they are making the sequel, which is The Return of the Condor Heroes. Bcos the story tells about Yang Guo, means some of the LOTCH characters will make appearances, but played by different actors.

I have looked about it and the synopsis is just: an urban love comedy, telling about a romantic love story of a man and woman who met by chance and fell in love.

That's all. Nothing new about the plot. I don't think it is based on a novel as well bcos I can't find it. But let me try to search again.

If only the scriptwriter followed the novel, how great would that be? FL's character is soooo good in the novel, similar to Meng Ziyi's previous role as Hua Liuli (Royal Rumours). I guess the scriptwriters had problems with the FL and the entire novel? 😡

The drama is still successful though despite the ridiculous plots and characters. It became an S level drama.

The reason of "too pretty for this character" actually happens in filming industry, not just in Meng Ziyi's case. Jennifer Lawrence was rejected to play as Katniss bcos she is too pretty. So she went back and dyed her hair, changed her clothes, returned to the audition hall, and she got accepted.

Some directors may have their own specifications and Meng Ziyi is too pretty for the character the director had in mind. That simple.

She is a great actress with great personality. Fellow actors, friends, directors often praise her acting. I never see posts of her behaving rude to staff and she maintains good relationships with everyone. Meng Ziyi doesn't have many haters in China. It's just some netizens want to slander her name.

I feel so upset bcos the FL in the novel is amazing! She is pretentious, flirtatious, witty, scheming. She always outsmart the ML. Every man falls for her charm. She is a fighter. She never tells her secrets, but she knows all his secrets (including his identity). She leaves him twice: 1. Bcos he poisoned her. 2. To save Changjue.

But the drama made FL became a weak, helpless woman. The fall from a cliff and amnesia parts are so unnecessary. She should be the chess player, not the chess piece 😡

I know the main reason she rejects him is bcos they are enemies by countries, they serve different masters and they have a lot to deal with. Also, her brother is in danger and she is the bait to lure Zaiye.

The scriptwriters really ruined such a good novel, plot and characters ☠

Most likely Wuyin. Idk either. If it is Wuxia, I'm sure Zaiye will do anything to prevent it. Especially bcos Wuxia will follow Zaiye to Beiyuan and lead the war.

1. War between 2 countries.

5. Saves Changjue.

It should be the opposite. Who will be the emperor if not the 4th prince? The 4th prince is needed by the country. While noisy cricket can never be empress, the mother of a country, the example of all ladies, the one who manages the harem and back palace.

S is good! The highest level is S+. Some S+ drama didn't even reach the level of investment. For example, The Litchi Road.

But Taohua realizes that though Wuyin is ambitious, he is good and sincere, a bit hasty and fool. When Zaiye wants to kill Wuyin, Taohua secretly saves him. Wuyin loses the throne and runs away from the capital.

The three of them meet again at the very end.

This drama is popular though. It reached 300M views. ML broke 50M of character popularity, while FL broke 40M. It broke 26000 heat index. The level of investment went from A to S due to broadcast impact.

There are B, A, S, S+ level for drama budget and the same level for investment. This drama got A level of investment, but the broadcast impact exceeded expectations and investment level. It went from A to S level. This is a big achievement.
