In the novel, Dongqiu Shu tells Yetan about her identity and that the twins didn't have a mother bcs they were born from flowers. In the drama, it is Husui who tell everyone the truth. It is also Husui who tells Qingkui the way to remove the flower power is for the twins to be separated in life and death. THIS is the reason why Qingkui chooses to die!!!!!! Bcs she dies, those evil emperors decide to let Yetan live.
Has anybody read the novel? If so, is the drama following the novel or have there been many changes?
I'm still reading the novel. This novel is really big, 300+ chapters! I jumped to where they find out the brides were switched. Basically it's the same. Both couples reunite and live in the same house, trying to make money. Youqin and Chao Feng are injured, but Youqin becomes weak. There is also a huge villain lurking around, and a shocking truth about the heavenly emperor and his past. Also the big villain tells one shocking fact to Yetan. I think they will cut the emperor's story though. The novel has too many trivial stories.
In ep 30, when her identity got revealed I actually think it should be no big deal because she is still a princess…
Even in other historical drama and real history, deceiving the emperor means death sentence. Yetan has been deceiving him so of course she will get executed. Same with Qingkui.

She's not whining. She is pretending to be dumb to get what she wants. She's a smart and cunning person, also quick witted. She analyzes the situations fast and knows how to defend herself and will defend the weak too. Definitely a fighter and she loves her sister the most.
I can imagine a harmonious family consist of: the heavenly emperor, void empress, Dingyun, Biatch Qiong. They rule the "I don't care about you lots as long as my butt is sitting on the throne" realm.
Should we give a round of applause to Biatch Qiong for giving the chance to Youqin and Yetan to finally be free to do and say what they want? Clap clap clap.

In the novel the previous emperor died so the current one had to take the throne. In order to fix Guixu, one must throw away his emotions, go to a seclusion, to gain imperfect celestial body. That jerky emperor doesn't have the time nor skills so he forced one of his sons to be the sacrifice, while he wants to warm his seat.
There is. 1. Youqin (ML) - Yetan (FL) - Di Lanjue (beast prince. But Di Lanjue will find his own soulmate. 2. Youqin - Yetan - Bi Qiong. The second girl always tries to steal the man. 3. Chao Feng (SML) - Qingkui (SFL) - Wudai. But Wudai will find his own soulmate. Basically the love triangles are nothing to be worried about.
It's just me and my personal taste. I like that they filmed outside. The void realm is dark and blurry. Everything looks grey. Natural light really makes difference. Especially Qingkui, with simple makeup, her beauty looks flawless. I even like her all of her hair accessories (hair crowns, hair bands), especially the ones she wear in second and third arc. They are wearable in real life. Yetan's hair bands, the round pink one she always wore in the first arc, and the half crescent she wears during sword practice are my fave. All the female hair accessories are so beautifully made.
Wudai my man! Thankfully Chao Feng failed to kill you in ep 1. Never thought you are such an innocent soul. Dumb, clumsy, but sincere and not calculative or scheming. Definitely a good man and brother, even though they like the same woman. Unlike Biatch Qiong who always tries to sabotage Yetan.
The actor playing Wudai, I forgot he was in The Long Ballad too. I didn't pay attention to him bcs I was attracted to his comrade, who sadly, barely appeared 🙄 good thing in TSL he played a better character who has his own story. That's why people noticed him and actually praise his character (and his body 🤣)
Isn't it bcs they absorbed the power of Chaos that they become the key to resurrect Chaos? But it could be another mislead legend created by the previous emperor.
