I'm still in ep 9 and little Dong Yi stole the show so far. I hope the adults reclaim it in the succeeding episodes coz I still can't get over Kim Yoo Jung's acting.
At second episode and I feel he got what he deserved for extortion. I can't feel sympathy for a blackmailer and being thick-faced for asking help from someone he betrayed.
Currently on ep 2. I decided to watch this because I'm suffering from mysophobia myself. The representation so far is almost accurate but not really. I absolutely feel him when he tries to clean every surface, and I can almost swear that I see germs crawling and wiggling, too. But when he came out of the car after the 'trash shower', I screamed, "No!" I would never allow myself to be too close to the crowd, let alone clean those trash with my 500 pieces of gloves in stock. Anxiety and panic would make me faint. Instead, I would call my assistant to come and take care of those. Also, the hair he picked from the desk. No no. I would tell the employee to pick it up and clean her things herself. Even though I noticed more inaccuracies, I'm satisfied so far because I can feel where he's coming from. The unlimited supply of disinfectant, though, and the sheets to protect the car seats. So true.
Update: Just finished episode 4. It's becoming half-baked. Dropped. I like both actors, though.
I started this drama because of good reviews. But three episodes in and it has convinced me that gaming dramas are definitely not my cup of tea. Or maybe because of the female lead? Yeah, maybe these two...
I watched this in 2013 and I still remember how much I loved this drama. Left a big impact, especially the ending. I still deem it one of the few amazing cdrama I've watched.
I share the same opinion. I dropped nirvina in fire after 20th episode. JOL sets the bar so high
I'm still new to Chinese dramas and I only have meager on my list. Nevertheless, I can say I enjoyed 'The Romance of Tiger and Rose' and 'Love Like The Galaxy' very much. 'When You Be Me' was amusing while 'Douluo Continent' was a little boring at times yet also somewhat nice. 😊
While I respect your opinion. You should pick up NIV and see the conclusion to that story.Joy of Life's story…
I have tried picking it up like for like five times already, and picked it up again days ago. Dropped again. I just feel indifferent. My purpose for watching shows are enjoyment, entertainment, and I just want to root for the protagonist. I don't feel anything towards NIV. But I really wanted to like it. Anyway, can't wait for JOL 2.
Same. I'm honestly giving it a chance. I'm now watching episode 5 but still not hooking me. It's the same old…
Yeah, I already did drop it last night 😂 I always give dramas a chance up to 5 episodes before dropping them because some of them just take time to warm up. That way, I'll be convinced they're really not for me. By the way, I did not ever say 'hate'. Indifferent.
Well, the promising fantasy drama just became another tasteless romantic comedy like there are dozens these days...…
Same. I'm honestly giving it a chance. I'm now watching episode 5 but still not hooking me. It's the same old sh*t as other kdramas nowadays. I feel indifferent. I want a character to root for but so far, no one has captured my attention. Hope I would enjoy it soon... 😔
Wow! I almost dropped Joy of Life in the early episodes but the story got interesting not long after. That twist and cliffhanger in the finale, though! Like what? Give me season 2 coz what??? This was so much better than Nirvana in Fire because JOL had a mix of various aspects. NIV was just solely focused on politics and mind games that I felt indifferent towards the characters. I dropped NIV up after ep26. But in JOL, there are mysteries that kept me wanting to uncover.
