For Viki, it's one episode per day, Monday -Friday. No episodes on Saturday and Sunday.
I just checked the Viki TV Guide again today and they changed the schedule to include 1 episode for this coming Saturday and Sunday, but nothing is listed for next Sat. and Sun. So I'm not sure what to tell you now. I guess you will have to just check on the weekends to see if they post an episode or not. Sorry.
Seems to me a lot of the reviews are written by people who are obsessed with Rowoon or wrote a 10 star review…
Agree with your points. The pace of the drama was uneven, it was slow in some parts. I found the beginning rather slow, and a little boring. It took several episodes to get going. I also found the ending a little unsatisfying. Romance between the main leads was sweet, but the kiss scenes were disappointing. Totally agree with you about the CP-Oldest Maid pairing between a minor and an adult. It was very uncomfortable to watch, and not necessary. I wish that subplot would have been handled differently. The drama was strongest when it focused on the comedy, the other parts of the script were not as good., in my opinion.
Let me get this straight: these drama awards (SBS, MBC...) are the awards the broadcaster give to dramas they…
Yes. The awards aim to celebrate the best of each broadcaster for the year. So it's more like a party/recognition by the broadcaster to celebrate the top shows and performers of the broadcaster for the year than a serious awards program like the Emmy Awards or BAFTAs. I think the serious awards for TV in Korea are the Baeksang Arts Awards.
Please, I need clarity on something 🙏The eldest daughter of that family that lives on the hill is to marry…
Unfortunately, yes, the drama is doing a romantic pairing between a 24 year old woman and a 14 year old boy. Many viewers are uncomfortable with this pairing of a minor and a adult woman.
There has been much discussion here about the historical validity of the CP-Oldest Maid pairing. While marriages between a minor and an adult did happen in the Joseon era, it seems to be mainly the female was a minor and the male the adult. Extremely rare to have the boy be the young partner. Someone also mentioned that in Joseon times, the Royal Crown Prince was only marrying females up to 2 years older maximum, so they felt the writers not following history. Other people saying this pairing is following history.
To answer your question, there were marriages between young minors and adults in the Joseon era. Exactly how common this was, I'm not sure, but it did happen. That said, couples with age gaps in general were common in Joseon times, and they included that in this drama. there is 11 year age gap between FL sister in law and the Gentleman Farmer (She is 17 and he is 28, I think) And I think the Youngest Maid and FL older brother have 9 or 10 year age gap (she is 19, he's 28 or 29, I believe).
As this is a fantasy rom com, the writers did not have to promote a minor with an adult relationship, in my opinion. They could have handled things differently. At the very least, they could have aged up the CP a few years, and make him 17-18 to her 24. At least then he would not be a minor.
Can anyone recommend to me some good Thai dramas with straight couples. I thought this one was ok but reading…
Ugly Duckling: Perfect Match, Full House Thailand, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, My Dear Donovan, My Name is Bussaba, Hua Jai Sila/Heart of Stone (2019), Kluen Cheewit/Waves of Life (2017), Bhuppae Sunniwat/Love Destiny (2018)
Honestly they should've removed CP and Ha Na's loveline. It's ruining a lot of viewers' excitement.
Yes, it is so unnecessary. I wish they had done things differently. Or if they had to do it, at the very least added a few years to CP age. Make him 17-18 years old, not 14 years old. At least then he wouldn't be a minor with a grown adult.
So they want to marry all 4 at the same time, but DR doesn't have a groom yet. Last we saw BG said he couldn't…
I don't think it will be 4 couples at the same time if they insist on Oldest Sister marry Crown Prince. The CP is not going to participate in a quadruple wedding. He most definitely will have a separate ceremony since it would be a State Occasion. Likely will be triple wedding day with FL Sister-in-law joining the 2 Maids, and somehow there will be a partner switch so that everyone ends up with their destined partner.

I just wanted to add a thank you to you for not being rude or insulting in your post to me and understanding where I was coming from in my previous post. I appreciate it, as some people were quite rude.

@Sometimes1: It's called an opinion. You have yours and I have mine. The writers can do as they want. I don't have to agree. I'm not demanding anything. I gave an opinion that I wished things could have been handled differently. If anyone is acting childishly and posting embarrassing comments, it's you with your personal insults and name-calling because I disagree with your opinion. You could have just said that marriages between minors and adults were present in the Joseon era, and you accept this subplot within that context, and you will have to agree to disagree with me on this couple pairing. But you did not. Instead, you act like a cyberbully and spew personal insults. I thought about ignoring your post, but I see that you have done this same treatment to others here, so I felt I could not stay silent. I can only hope in the future you will stop with the personal insults toward those that do not share your opinions. I will have to agree to disagree with you regarding this particular subplot. Please do not respond to my post. Let it end here.

I understand what you are saying. For me, the writers did not handle this topic well. If they had to include this topic in the drama, I wish they could have explored this topic in a different way that did not involve minors with adults.
