It's not her son. It's her brother-in-law's son. He and his wife died and their son is registered to his brother's…
Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. So her friend might be the Oldest Daughter-in-law? If so, then she is the biological mother of the son, right?
I have watched up to Ep. 5. I'm enjoying the comedy. So far the palace politics has been lightly dealt with, which I appreciate. The three Maeng sisters are fun to watch. Youngest "old maid" sister will end up with the Female lead's older brother, I'm guessing. The 2nd "old maid" sister is going to end up with the Scholar whom the Female Lead is trying to match up with her Sister-in-law. I think. The Sister-in-law likes the Gentleman Farmer. I'm not sure why he is unacceptable match to her family as they seem to have known each other since childhood, so I think he must be from noble or wealthy family? Did we meet the Eldest "old maid" Sister's match yet? I don't remember her meeting anyone at the temple.
I don't understand about the Female Lead's son. I don't think he is her biological child. Did her husband have a first wife who died? Also unclear about the friend with the little girl. She was afraid the Female Lead's Mother-in-law would recognize her? Who is she supposed to be? Anyway, looking forward to Ep. 6
So are you saying the Viki subs are bad because they have explanations for idioms? Why is it bad thing?
Oh, I see. Thanks for clarifying. The parentheses usually don't bother me. I have seen the extras for American slang terms, but then not everyone knows the slang terms, so I think that's why they are there. But I understand your point.
We see more of the past in episode 2. But to say there’s not enough momentum to take revenge on adopted mother…
Thanks for that information. Much appreciated. Yes, I think the drama will focus on FL getting revenge on the adoptive mother, but it is good to know about all the mistreatment FL suffered from both family and in-laws before the time travel. I'm looking forward to the payback!

Thanks for your insights. I'm glad to know that there will be more scenes of FL mistreatment by her family in Ep. 2 to help viewers invest in FL revenge. I agree with you that there is plenty in Ep. 1 to help viewers invest in the revenge against the adoptive mother. As I said in my comment, the ep. 1 focused on the mother. I just wanted to see more about the abuses to FL from other family members and the in-laws. I'm glad to know Ep. 2 will include that. It will make everything so much more satisfying and exciting to watch.
I think that the FL is basically taking revenge on her step mother and sister as she wants to destroy or take…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I'm glad there will be more explanation of FL motives in Ep. 2 Direct revenge on her adoptive mother makes sense. The others are used in service to the revenge. Sister is the mother's most precious person, so hurting sister hurts the mom. FL must free herself from her unhappy marriage in order to enact her revenge plan. So husband is just collateral damage. I look forward to seeing more of the details of how FL was mistreated in the past by her sister and the other family and in-laws in Ep. 2
I have watched Ep. 1. Overall, I'm interested in the drama, That said, I wish that we could have seen more of how FL was mistreated by all of the other characters to justify her revenge. The episode focused on the adoptive mother. I also didn't feel the behaviors of the husband, sister, in-laws seemed that bad. I felt FL knew husband wasn't interested in her, but forced herself on him anyway. This was shown in the flashback where she's crying because he showed up. So for her to want revenge on him for marrying her without love seems rather unjustified. I understand that the husband's behavior is much worse in the original source material, so the need for revenge is more understandable and satisfying. If I'm going to root for the FL revenge for 12 eps, I need to believe in and experience with the FL the terrible treatment. If I have experienced the traumas with the FL, then I'm invested in her revenge journey and get satisfaction when she takes down her enemies. It's got to sustain me for the length of the drama. I feel like I didn't see enough of FL woes at the hands of all the different family members before the character change and revenge started at the end of Ep. 1. Hopefully, we will see more of what FL experienced at the hands of her family and in-laws in Ep. 2 before the revenge really takes off.
Hong Jo is such a brave woman, her boyfriend got stabbed by her stalker and she just seems to be dreaming. He…
I agree with you, FL is an idiot. She knows the bad gardener guy is still out there, but she sends the bodyguards away? Does not make sense. The bodyguards looked far enough from them not to overhear the conversation. If privacy is still an issue for the old man, then just lower your voices. His insistence on being completely alone was a red flag anyway. She should have explained the situation to the old man in the first place, which is what a normal person would have done. However, we have a FL acting like an idiot because the writer of this drama is too stupid to come up with a better way to move the plot forward. The crappy writing on this show is so frustrating.
