First of all I just want you to know that everything I write here is from the original script I read for the drama adaption. It may not be 100% in the final release of the drama as I have seen many leaked scenes or clothing change that is not in the actual script. E.g the released scene of him holding her from behind with both of them sad is not in the script, but I’m excited for it.

But was the one who put her in that situation in the first place. She wanted to leave to try save her family but couldn’t. Once she got news that her family was killed she went crazy trying to escape and SML tried to help her escape as well but failed. She started hating him and finally escaped during his wedding day. Before she jumped of the cliff she told him she hope they will never see each other again in this life.
(Her family wasn’t killed but imprisoned, her king released false information back knowing that this was the only way to try and get her to come back home asap )

He witness her desperate attempt to save him before fainting and later found out all the trouble and effort she went through to save him when she could’ve escaped/run away from him and return home. She also helped solve so many problems for him along the way back to his homeland, earning even more respect and admiration from him. He has never looked at any women (even though every women seems to have the hots for him) has no interest in them and let alone praised one but only her.
He even said to the king when he tried to force him to marry again after the first failed attempt that “he has only one wife and that is Jun QiLou”

Business tag is true. The last 1/3 of the drama is about her restoring/rebuilding her family business because of its downfall once she escapes from ML. The Heriones craft really shines in the drama and is a big part of the story and scenes. It’s also a big part of her character and identities. Not only that, their relationship and the start of it, how they met was because of business and it will be throughout the drama. He kidnaps her on her business trip and they go through life and death situations together from her trying to escape from him until she realises she can never leave him unless he allows her to. So they struck up a business contract between them and that’s how she came to Beixuan his homeland with him. Both of them have their own motives. As a contract token he takes her business order, the green jade necklace of her and she takes his family sword. This will be returned once their contract is completed. The business contract will change along the way.
He’s looking for the 100 workers of Baigong ( Jun Feifun ) her other identity who is the person responsible for the created weapon that killed his father. She’s looking for Black ion ore that she needs to make the weapons she designs to be more exquisite and powerful to defend her country from his as they are weaker and bullied by his. She hides this identity while pretending to look for gems to make more profit for her business. His country is known for being rich in gems and ion ore. He says he wants her to help him become the wolf master so he can use the power to interrogate his enemies to know the truth about his parents death but really he also uses her to try and find Jun Feifan because he is her brother. The Jade necklace contract will lead to truth being reveal and the start of their angst and separation as hidden in it contains her identity.
Once she escapes from him she slowly builds up her business again as it’s been taken over and ruined by her male relatives and women has no stand during that era. She was the main pillar of her family and the biggest business in their city build by herself pretending to be a man since she was a child. When he finds her again he will try and help her, she only accepts it because of trying to restore her business and tells him that there is nothing else between them other than a business relationship. Their country was also in a critical peace talk from an almost war breaking out earlier. He wants to be with her but she keeps refusing him and almost married SML. However, just before his short fake death he will find out she is pregnant and is even more determined to be with her. Because of thinking she had lost him and realising how much she loves him when he was dead they made up when he returned and he asked her to marry him.
In the end they fought through prejudice, hatred and death together and be able to convince their kings to create peace and trade between the two countries. Her father changed the family customs of only male heirs inheriting and running the family business and officially declared/made her the owner of the family business in front of her other relatives. They both gave up their identities, him the Wolf lord & Xuanbu leader and her the Extraordinary of the King. They lived happily in the peace field created between the two countries and she gave birth to twin boys. The drama also has extras scenes of their children running around in the front garden at 10 years old with them watching them playing.
As you know in the novel she left her younger child at 1 month to her family and returned to Beixuan with him intending to visit him once a year. So I’m loving the drama ending that they deviated from.
I really love all the changes, add ons and deviations from the novel. I really love how he steadily fell in love, admired and respected her in the drama not like how it was in the novel with forceful love and torturing her. He actually earned her love by putting his life on the line for her and protecting her all the time. Even when he found out the truth. She was equally the same. I just didn’t like 2 things he did or about him. I also like how she didn’t give into him straight away after he found her and the fact she didn’t know she was pregnant when she jumped off the cliff. I believe they made the story way better and more satisfying.

Well with the reasons you’ve given me then you’re in for a treat. I do have the script for the novel adaption (drama) and as long as they didn’t cut any scenes, though I know they added extras coz of the released/leak videos/photo, then they definitely deviated and made it much better. Plus I’m like you, I’m mainly interested because I’m a fan of AB, SWL is hot and really suits his role too. If I don’t like the actors/actress I can’t watch their drama 😂

I’m not sure what you mean by the ‘toxicity and soap opera thing ‘. This was a novel written years go when the storyline and characters protrayed and their behaviours were weirdly romanticised. Times have changed and so has the drama adaption to be in line and accepted in todays society. In which I agree. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘Boring’ as I’ve found I haven’t been able to stick to or finish any dramas for the past few years. All the dramas are the same recycled storylines. This is just my opinion. But I actually love the storyline and characters in this novel/drama as it’s quite different to most dramas I’ve seen. I’m happy to tell you more about the changes but not if you find it boring already.

I am desperately waiting for this drama to release too and I believe Tencent will release it soon or at least by the end of the year. It was originally planned to release in WeTV promo last year for 2024 before the scandal but not all the dramas they showed at that time is all released yet. Last month Tencent TV wished Ren Hao a happy birthday and to look forward to his 3 pending dramas by Tencent Production which they also mentioned “Acacia” Everlasting Longing and the web link for reservations. Whereas before there was not a word from Tencent about it, even during their WeTV June Conference. Especially now that they have received the distribution license it means the government has given AB the green light to appear on screen again. So I have high hopes this will release soon, they’re just waiting for the right time to fit it in and release it. We just need to be patient and wait.

To answer if there is another couple would be mainly NO! Ren Hao and Bai Bingke are the SL supposedly the 2nd couple but not really. What I mean is, she loves him but he loves FL. Even though they eventually, for a very very short time got together, he never loved her and still did everything for FL (I won’t spoil the last part). For the most part, he was always trying to get away from and avoiding her. She was obsessed with him. But he never wavered his love for Qi Lou even though he knew that she never had feelings for him and was in love with Xaun Lie and was his woman already.
There is no 3rd couple. ML was forced to marry 3rd FL but there is no love or feelings between them. He is only in love with FL. He is domineering, especially after they become a couple, he believes she only belongs to him in this life time and without his permission, she is never allowed to leave him or marry someone else.
The Drama can never be or stay true completely to the novel as it was jut 10 very short chapters. If they stayed true to it, it will be those short mini series/drama with not much of a plot and no growth or develop for the characters, especially for the main leads love story. Thank God, they were able to make it a full drama up to 30 episodes because of the adaption and add on changes to make the story more fulfilling. I wish they could’ve extended it to 40 episodes Lol. Although I do love the original novel, I also love the drama adaption as well.

I have read both the novel and script for the drama many, many times, I’ve lost count. The drama is definitely an adaption of the novel and does not stay for the most part true to the book. I guess because the book is just 10 Chapters long and not much back story to anything. They’ve change how the two leads fell in love, stayed and how they got together which is great because the way they were/got together in the book will cause controversy in todays society and I definitely agree with it. In the drama they will fall in love mainly because of the admiration they grew for each other through so many life and death experiences they had overcome together time and time again. Their love was hard earned due to the prejudices between their nations but again they overcame the challenges to be together. I really love all the changes and add ons that they did, except for one thing, but I won’t spoil that part. One of the other changes I love - in the novel, the SML literally disappeared and was never seen or heard of again once ML kidnapped FL. In the drama this doesn’t happen and he will give ML competition for the FL’s heart. In the book ML had no love rival so the drama makes it more interesting and funny. I love a jealous ML. Great thing is, ML doesn’t hide his feelings for FL for long as soon as he realises SML intentions towards her, he will confess quite quickly. He’s afraid that she will leave him if there’s nothing holding her back once her mission with him is completed and also with SML always trying to persuade her to leave him. FL & SML have a dynamic relationship as they grew up together and he was her bodyguard. He of course was in love with her to the end and will do anything for her even volunteering to (won’t spoil it). Both ML & FL are very strong minded, clever, smart, cunning, cruel, kind, stubborn and decisive characters. They both don’t give up easily and never show weakness, especially FL. Whenever, she’s in a bad situation, she never complains/winges but try to find a solution straight away. They always had each others back until of course the separation time (I blame ML for that) and after they got back together they were rock solid again. They kept the major parts/lines/scenes and story in the drama and added elements to it and enhanced the original book/novel. I love that they will keep the happy ending as a family of four. This is my most anticipated drama as the story is very different from the typical costume dramas with the same recycled plots and storylines. I cannot wait for its release. Hopefully in September as rumours has it.

As for the script, sorry it’s a source that was hard to obtain privately that I cannot give out. However, if you look for it in Bili_Bili under pdf scripts, you’ll find that that’s where my knowledge comes from.
They’ve change how the two leads fell in love, stayed and how they got together which is great because the way they were/got together in the book will cause controversy in todays society and I definitely agree with it. In the drama they will fall in love mainly because of the admiration they grew for each other through so many life and death experiences they had overcome together time and time again. Their love was hard earned due to the prejudices between their nations but again they overcame the challenges to be together. I really love all the changes and add ons that they did, except for one thing, but I won’t spoil that part.
One of the other changes I love - in the novel, the SML literally disappeared and was never seen or heard of again once ML kidnapped FL. In the drama this doesn’t happen and he will give ML competition for the FL’s heart. In the book ML had no love rival so the drama makes it more interesting and funny. I love a jealous ML. Great thing is, ML doesn’t hide his feelings for FL for long as soon as he realises SML intentions towards her, he will confess quite quickly. He’s afraid that she will leave him if there’s nothing holding her back once her mission with him is completed and also with SML always trying to persuade her to leave him. FL & SML have a dynamic relationship as they grew up together and he was her bodyguard. He of course was in love with her to the end and will do anything for her even volunteering to (won’t spoil it).
Both ML & FL are very strong minded, clever, smart, cunning, cruel, kind, stubborn and decisive characters. They both don’t give up easily and never show weakness, especially FL. Whenever, she’s in a bad situation, she never complains/winges but try to find a solution straight away. They always had each others back until of course the separation time (I blame ML for that) and after they got back together they were rock solid again.
They kept the major parts/lines/scenes and story in the drama and added elements to it and enhanced the original book/novel. I love that they will keep the happy ending as a family of four.
This is my most anticipated drama as the story is very different from the typical costume dramas with the same recycled plots and storylines. I cannot wait for its release. Hopefully in September as rumours has it.
I can’t wait to see the scene of Xuan Lie watching Qi Lou dance on stage, when he first sees her dressed up in female clothes, his jealousy with Qi Min and the confession scene. But I can’t also wait to see the parting cliff scene the most.
Qi Lou stared at Xuan Lie’s face which was close to the limit and her eyes fell on Xuan Lie’s mouth. She smiled and kissed back instead of answering. Seeing this Xuan Lie hugged Qi Lou tightly and the two kissed deeper and deeper.
I’m dying already. 😭
