This drama is decent if you remove angela baby. She is just not a good actress in romance setting.

Angelababy was playing a character not herself. She didn’t choose to act impulsively creating fights knowing she’ll lose. This is YinYin, her character, know the difference. Angelababy did a phenomenal job portraying her character as well as MaTianyu. Both of them were great and had compatible chemistry that was on fire. IMO the word decent for this drama almost feels like an insult. If you actually watched it all properly, then you would know it’s way better then most of the other dramas that aired during the same time despite it’s lower budget. The storyline, characters and morals of both are far more dimensional, intriguing and interesting. Angelababy’s acting has improved greatly in this drama, I guess she did such a great job you actually got her confused with her character. I have watched all her dramas and this plus Twilight really showed that she listened to her acting critisms in the past and worked hard to improve herself. Anyway, you don’t have to like her or the drama but most of us here enjoyed and liked this drama and the actors that brought it to life. Just drop the drama if she annoys you too much. Personally if I don’t like an actor/actress or one of the main leads, I don’t watch their dramas, let alone go to their drama columns such as MyDramalist and comment about them. If a drama is not for you because of whatever reasons, just don't watch it. But don’t come in here and spread negativity about Angelababy as I personally don’t agree with you and will defend for her as I’m sick of everyone attacking her all the time even when she has better herself in acting or personal life. Same here! I’ve like rewatched it all again already and all their romantic parts a million times over before I end my IQIYI VIP subscription that I got for this drama. Can’t get over this couple and this drama. Hands down the best drama for me this year. I wish Angelababy and Ma Tianyu to collaborate again, even in a modern drama. Their chemistry is on fire.

I agree with you about that Ling guy. Always had a bad feeling about him. Please don’t turn the story that way. Why can’t he just go away already. However, I believe RC will not give up YY to him this time around because she is now his wife. No husband, especially a powerful demon god, will like to see other men liking or interacting a lot with their wife. 😂 I believe that he will fight anyone now for her to be by his side or won’t give up on her easily, even if she doesn’t remember him or hates him. I feel that nothing will get in his way for his love for her now. Like what he did was ‘gave up saving the world for his girl’ . Please don’t come in here and spread your hatred or dislike for the ML Ma TianYu. Most of us here can agree that he’s doing a fantastic job in his role and suits the character very well. He also has an electric chemistry with the FL Angelabay. She too is portraying her character perfectly as well. Their emotions especially in the last episodes was executed at high levels and you can feel their love and pain. The casting selection is perfect IMO. Everyone suits and plays their characters well. Have you even watched it enough to actually judge both the actors, their characters and the storyline. A bit much to say ‘bottom scum of the earth’ when he actually killed the real banished god by accident ( not by intention ) and took on his identity as an opportunity to live his dreams. This is where character growth comes into play and lies never stay hidden. Aren’t most dramas and movies based on lies? Just because it started that way there’s no need to jump into such a negative conclusion so early on already. Apart from the low production quality, which is the only negative I have about it, this drama IMO is actually way better and more interesting than any of the other high quality dramas airing right now. It’s actually very underrated. Most of us here can say we are happy with the cast and enjoying this drama very much. Right now it’s the only drama I like and look forward to each episode. Even though it was a short scene but that was a beautiful white wedding. They both looked absolutely stunning as the bride & groom, just beautiful. They looked so happy and in love. Ma Tianyu & Angelababy portrayed their roles so well and convincingly. Annoyed they cut out the kissing scene for it though as seen in the release pics. And why couldn’t they just give them one romantic wedding night together before her pain started. Just give me that one scene, I’m not asking for much 😭 Damn storyline/director! We want more romance 😂

Like I’ve said in other posts before, it’s not a grand masterpiece and the CGI is not great but something about it keeps me intrigue, interested and looks forward to the next episode all the time. The main leads pretty much fell for each other within the first 1-2 episodes and loved each other since. Like any dramas, there will always be some kind of misunderstands between leads that causes separations. I really admire the strong love, understanding, bond and everything between the main leads. Plus they have good chemistry together. They have such a healthy relationship and within the last few episodes have grown stronger and matured a lot since a misunderstanding between them was cleared. What I also like is the pacing and story line. Any issues, problems or misunderstandings don’t get dragged on too long and make the story boring and draggy. There’s no dwelling and forgiveness and apologies are given straight away. The story have just introduced the amnesia trope within the last episode but I believe it will resolve within the next 2 episodes with the way it’s going. If you do give it a go, don’t let the first few episodes cloud your judgement of the drama yet. The more you watch it, the more it gets better and interesting. Well for me anyway.

This drama is actually the most enjoyable drama airing right now. It’s so underrated. I love how the pacing is going. I really like how the misunderstanding didn’t drag on even though I wanted to see YinYin become a badass demon. I hate dramas where the main leads have episodes of misunderstanding and separations, therefore no scenes with each other for ages. Her acceptance and apology was given straight away when she knew the truth and having empathy towards GQ and thanking her for saving her father, feeling indebted to her because RC chose her. Her character shows growth and maturity. Apart from YF the other main characters shows a lot of this and I’m really loving them. YF is just becoming an annoying, obsessive psycho. I understand that he went through 99 lives with her and their entanglement. But love is about letting the one you love be free to freely love who they want and be happy. Just being by their side and protecting them should be enough not taken by force. I hope his character matures and changes later. I really love the love between RC and YY and all those romantic scenes of them, especially the love knot scene, so beautiful, the music, everything about it. I hope in the ending YY gets her dream of having a life with RC living peacefully in the dessert with an inn business and gives RC a chubby child he asked her for.
