The dark Imperial guards tried to intercept them ( ML FL SML ) on the way Out of the city. ML protected FL and SML stayed back to hold them off and was killed.

Hate to break it to you, but SML dies protecting FL and she the princess ends up waiting for him alone in the palace thinking that one day he will return to her. However, they will get a bit of romance together as they will both sleep together. 😂

He should have never suspect her of murder, doubted her, didn’t talk to her about him knowing her identity, or why is she JunFeiFan, told that stupid king about her, imprisoned her, didn’t tell her about his plan to swap her as the bride, thinking he can handle and control everything himself. He of all people should know how strong willed and determined she is and not afraid of death. He had so many regrets and spiralled into depression.
Her uncle and cousin will try and stop and sabotage her every step of the way to rebuild her family wealth. In the end her father will erase the role of only male heirs inheriting family business and declare her as the heir and owner of the family business in front of everyone in their family ancestral hall.
The king of Yannan always knew that she was a girl and told her she still needs to keep making weapons for him or else he will not release her family. He first released her sisters and then later when she completed an upgraded new weapon which she needed the black crystals for, he finally released her father before her upcoming wedding to SML. She will stop making weapons later on once their country comes to a peace. The Beixuan king stays as king in the end and ML will give up his title of Xuanfu leader to be with female lead. They both resolve all their issues and who is behind his parents murders and created a peace and trade treaty between the two countries. They will live happily in the peace land created between the two countries with their twin boys.
LZZ Will ultimately die in the end when he comes back for revenge on the king when he finds out that his lover died.LZZ Will die in ML arms. It’s a pity for him as he lived and died for his lover and used by her and the king. What a waste of a character. He finds out the king was using him when he told him that he knew about him and his concubine a long time ago. This will be after his confrontation with ML that we have seen in the preview already. However, he did reminded ML that the king of Beixuan is a bad king and does everything for his own power gain and that it was his fault FL died and they were not allowed together. ML knows this, but he is still loyal to that king and saves him. The king finally realises how much ML Loves FL and allows him to leave and be with her because he knows that he will always be loyal to his country.
