I have been eyeballing this since it got announced, and being that stills kept showing up before me, I started…
Also, coincidentally, I learned ヒル as vocabulary in class recently. So I knew the title meant leech before even looking at its MDL page. I also had a hunch it would be about people living off others, although not like this. Impressed.
The synopsis got me intrigued until he became a fugitive for no reason? hmm
The reason isn’t super obvious from the synopsis, but it does make sense in the drama. Not quite as random as it sounds. Although not sure if you already passed this one by?
How do I explain this…I’ve dropped the show twice before. But finding myself in the mood for it I started…
I also find it absolutely hysterical that, after the last episode ended, the trailer for Coffee & Vanilla rolls. Same season, same channel. Seen them both now XD
How do I explain this…I’ve dropped the show twice before. But finding myself in the mood for it I started all over I’m actually enjoying it (currently on episode 7). The way three of the characters act is pure gaslighting. HOWEVER for some reason I can still enjoy it because I’m in the right mood and not too serious about it.
This was sat on my plan to watch list for two full years. Just watched it today and it’s beyond what I expected. I absolutely loved it. Deserving of top spot.
If you’re debating watching, I’d say go for it. 100%.
Also just a note that there’s more after the initial credits roll, the credits are not the end. Keep watching.
Who read the novel? Can you tell me if the story is good? Everything so far looks amazing! and I really want to…
I haven’t read all of the novel but the parts I did read were exactly what I signed up for. However, there was an interview on Be On Cloud’s official YouTube Channel where Mile and Apo gently addressed that the drama will be different to the novels.
The writing style of the novel (personal opinion) was not great, and it did lack realism, although I do like the story. I am VERY excited about the show though and expect it do deliver based off what they’ve shown us so far.
So yes, the story/premise is good. More than good, it’s great. As a fan of mafia dramas in general, I can tell you I would watch KinnPorsche if it wasn’t BL, it has enough substance to carry itself with more audiences too. I hope I’ve answered your question~
I was just revisiting this and I appreciate how human the characters are. Really. Infidelity plots are usually something I hate, this being the exception. But the humanity is undoubtable and that’s what makes it all the better. It doesn’t wrap itself up in a box pretending to be something it’s not.
I’m going to be looking forward to this. I had for some reason been avoiding watching Someday or One Day, in spite of being a fan of Taiwanese dramas. The initial announcement of a remake is what spurred me to watch the original and words do not so easily do it justice.
I just look forward to seeing the story afresh through new eyes. Remakes are something to be enjoyed because your story so treasured gets recognition from even further afield. I get all the worries people have but I’m stubbornly not focusing on that and wish this all the best.
Sorry, but this ain’t it. I watched it and glad I did but realistically, it was a nonsensical direction story…
Regarding the whole drugs and underworld plot, I am sorry but it doesn’t match what was set up in season 1 at all. This made no sense and in my opinion ruined the world setup.
I’m almost lacking in words to describe the story arc, not for good reasons. They set up the connection between Yeonwoo and Sehyun well. It largely falls apart when we learn through her laptop and onwards.
I guessed right about the plot before it even had a trailer. My guess was that Sehyun would also be a mono. I was right if unhappy about being right about the false hope this plot would revolve around. They got lost and instead of searching for Yoohan and his mother, it feels like a total sidetrack from Yeonwoo’s perspective.
The world they set up was a place where monos are discriminated against for very real fears. Obsession and what it does to them. If all this fear exists, the nonchalant bullies don’t make sense, as they are not bullies with fear. They are bullies who pick on the different kid. Instead, we are lead down a road focusing on mono societies that exploit their members for this false hope that also has a nonsensical basis.
Season 2 felt like a science-fiction show within the world of season 1, something a people from the society of season 1 would see on TV, if they ever got off the news channels that seem only to mention the prevalence of monos in crime.
Sorry, but this ain’t it. I watched it and glad I did but realistically, it was a nonsensical direction story wise. Sadly the low budget is also painfully obvious. It had cute moments but largely felt like a prelude to nothing. It lacked a sense of conflict and resolution by not committing to a style.
I would love to see the world of Color Rush realised, but with proper budget and a commitment to style. If you’re going for a dark thriller in this twisted world, go ahead. If you’re looking for a soulmate au, go ahead. Combine both even. But it needs a proper drama runtime. Minimum 12 episodes at near enough an hour each could do it some proper justice.
It was nice seeing Hyuk in it with Yoo Jun, but I’m just sorry it was a miss for me. To those looking to watch the follow up to Color Rush, by all means don’t let the negativity stop you if you want to see where it goes, just don’t expect much from it.
I absolutely adore the extra scenes. After the preview, those little slice of life scenes are such a nice contrast! I’ve been looking forward to this drama and so far it’s absolutely fulfilling what I hoped for. It’s also very well balanced so far, not letting any one element take over from the rest. (A little note to those of you who turn off before preview - there’s a scene afterwards and it’s worth it, so by all means skip the preview but the extra scene after you will love)
Also, having just finished Risky I pleasantly surprised to see Hagiwara Minori show up today. Quite a coincidence too.
Oh no, you're not comparing the lovely Koyama to that awful kid from DB&M, are you? Because I hated him so much
Non from DBK was unredeemable I must agree. I feel that mixup though because the titles are so similar. I’m not even sure if that was infatuation or active desire to create problems.. XD
The one who posted the first trailer was a different production company right? So are the scenes from the first…
The scenes from the first trailer were mostly directly from the novel according to those who read it, so chances are many of the same events will occur. It looks as though the tone will probably be more dark and serious under this company though. So quite possibly, same events, different tone + direction, different location, and in some cases, different actors.
As for Porsche’s brother, being that we know Gameplay who had the role has left the production, chances are the part has already been recast but is not announced yet. There’s a few other roles in the same situation, and it begs the question who we’ll get to see playing them.
If you’re debating watching, I’d say go for it. 100%.

That being said…the effect (for me) is totally different as I’m not finding myself rooting for Koyama…
