99% of commenters be like “I could give two shits about the straight couple”. Lol.Bless your fujoshi hearts.
I… like the main couple, a lot. I started for them, although I’m also someone who watches a lot of BL, that was actually a coincidence to me. 😅😂

There isn’t an official English translation, but it can be read on the website it was originally written on via automatic translation. It isn’t ideal because you’ll be hit with a barrage of incorrect pronouns, but it’s still understandable.

It should be the first link if you google search “KinnPorsche Tunwalai”, and then choose to “translate this page” (from the desktop version of google).

Sorry about that 😅 I only read the VegasPete story because I didn’t want to spoil the main story. Did you read all of it or just some of it?

Where can I read the English translation of the novel
There’s not currently any official translation. However, the original novel is available online and can be read through automatic translation.

If you look up “Tunwalai KinnPorsche” in google, and use the “translate this page” option above the link title, the first result should be it.

All I’ll say is that you may want to brace yourself for a barrage of incorrect pronouns and addresses. For example, several times the automatic translator had to guess whether it was ‘Miss Kinn’, ‘Mr Kinn’, and so on. Personal pronouns such as he, she, I, you, and me also get jumbled at times.

Although it’s not the easiest to read at first (you’ll get used to it), it’s also the official place to read the novel as this is where it was originally uploaded, so supporting Daemi, the authors. Also, no other translations have anywhere near all the chapters, none of them have the side story chapters either (I read the side story but didn’t want to spoil the main story before watching).

Good luck, and hope you enjoy reading as I did.

PS. The translations may have improved since I read it, because people can contribute better / more accurate translations should they choose. If a paragraph fails to translate, scroll down further and then back up to the one that failed, it’s usually the same ones.

I am loving this so far! Everything about it.
On Be Loved in House: I Do Jul 24, 2021
Well, this is one I have enjoyed every week. Looking forward to the finale. It’s a pleasant, low stress, fun watch. I would honestly recommend this to people having a look. It isn’t super fast paced but for me that’s possibly part of its charm.

Also, just putting it out there I liked episode 11, it was fun. I get people’s frustrations, but not feeling any of that myself.

I thought it quite weird and inappropriate too! But then I saw it was phrased this way on the official film festival…
It does make sense during the film, it isn’t meant in an offensive way, because it plays with boundaries of gender and sexuality a bit.

Can someone tell, how old chè here?
According to the casting call posters, Porsché is 17 (youngest major character in KinnPorsche, the rest are mostly 20-24).
For some strange reason, I love this film. Even though I can see flaws, something about it still struck a chord with me. It’s gorgeous, and the atmosphere worked well for me, and a film with all these themes (horror, supernatural, and bromance) isn’t the easiest thing to stumble across.

I knew nothing about this film and came across it while searching for something else entirely but it did catch me eye. The trailer and song used in the trailer was what told me I needed to watch it. I’m glad I did, because for me this felt like a breath of fresh air, not that I can rationalise it.

Now I need to read the manga…

Also, I do agree with the comments that this would have been better as a series, and possibly with a bit more building on the relationship aspect. I don’t love it any less though.

I’m on my second attempt at watching this, and much as I want to like it, this show just seems to make me sad. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is about it but rather than joy it seems to bring sadness.

Last time I tried was probably two years ago, and I had the same sort of sad feeling from it then. Even if I love Shison Jun and want to watch for him.
I didn’t watch the series version, but I watched this upon recommendation. Hadn’t a clue what it would be like. All I knew about this was the surprise cameo.

I loved it, it was realistic and painful but beautiful. I was not expecting to cry like I did either. That really got me. The attention to detail was really impactful, the little things that spoke the most. The slice of life style worked wonders here, and while time skips usually don’t fly well with me, the way it was used for the storytelling here was very fitting. The soundtrack also added much to the impact, along with the lovely cinematography. I’m so glad I watched this, it’s one to remember for sure.

Okay, because I know about the format I jumped in with today’s episode. Was not expecting a mini heart attack. Casually waltzing in to someone else’s place unannounced and waking them up while on top of them!?

Ooooh this is the first show where I’m hating it but I will keep watching it. Not like other people, I like…
I kind of agree, but I certainly do not hate the show. There’s nothing wrong with Geun Young, and the treatment of her is upsetting to see. Who Joon is a weak character in my eyes, being that after seeing so much of Geun Young’s honest humanity, he still in an instant will take the words of someone else and blame her. He then refuses to tell her what she has ‘done wrong’, which is childish and immature at best. I hope that we get some character growth there, because if he can’t learn to trust her and address things directly, that won’t have a happy conclusion.

Meanwhile, although Jae Joon clearly has an agenda, I’m almost inclined to like him more. While he isn’t innocent, he doesn’t treat Geun Young poorly and actually set things straight between her and Who Joon when he misunderstands in spite of having no obligation to do so. Even if he’s using Geun Young, I think some shred of him actually cares about her. Jae Joon is direct about things, which I respect, even if he’s meant to be our villain.

As for In Hyung, I don’t like her but I can see she’s clearly caught in the middle without an exit. In some ways she has created this problem for herself. Trying to appeal to Who Joon while equally refusing to break it off with Jae Joon isn’t helping anyone, and it certainly isn’t benefitting her. She needs to sort out her priorities and find an out.

Hmm… I’d say my feelings on this one are mixed. I do like it and it is what I have been looking for, an easy watch. Although it isn’t exactly great either? I’m enjoying it in spite of what it lacks is probably the best way I can find to say it.
On So I Married the Anti-Fan May 11, 2021
I’m enjoying it, but it’s sort of meh for me. I don’t really find much worth liking from any character. The premise sounds fun, but it isn’t quite what I had hoped for so far. It is reasonably light and easy to watch though.
On So I Married the Anti-Fan May 5, 2021
It took me 2 attempts to make it through episode 1, but on the second attempt with a bit more patience it became more enjoyable. I like the plot and hopefully where this is going.

Am I the only one who thought that Sib's brother and Gene's brother are together? It would have made so much sense…
I wondered that myself. They set off my radar at the dinner table at first, when they kept exchanging knowing glances at each other. In the aftermath Gene and Sib confessing, their awkward smiles almost looked to be almost guilty, which would make sense for Neung - who pushed for this, but not Jap.

What I found strange was the way Neung confessed to pushing Sib and Gene to come out, and the way that caused an awkwardness between them. They also had a bit of chemistry over the video call, which is natural for good friends, but there was a bit of something that didn’t seem so much like friends. If they were just friends, I feel the facial expressions and tone would have been focused far more on Sib and Gene, but it felt as though Neung and Jap were also dealing with a similar conflict.

It wasn’t exactly cleared up either - Jap apologised to his dad after grinning at Gene and Sib hugging. I wondered what that apology was about. There’s no clear reason for him to apologise, unless he means it as a “sorry I didn’t come clean myself first” kind of thing.

I wouldn’t have batted an eye at the older brothers had it not been for Jap - who would have no reason to act the way he did at any point in the last two episodes unless something was up. Any older sibling would have likely spoken up after Gene was coldly sent to his room, unless they themselves feel equally guilty.

One last detail - perhaps the ‘icing on the cake’, if you will, is the personalities. Both of the older brothers are reserved in character, and don’t seem to have the strong desire to openly express their feelings. Nubsib on the other hand, is someone who wants to be totally out in the open for his happiness, so that he can freely express his affections at any time and place. A clear example is at mealtimes, he wants to give Gene food, feed him, and vice versa. Meanwhile, the older two are exchanging knowing glances and *could* be interacting more subtly while maintinging the status quo.

This indicates to me that the older brothers would have a far easier time staying hidden should they choose. This is another reason for the younger two to come out to family first, because in terms of their emotional needs, it would be better to get it out of the way sooner. If the older two are together, I don’t think Sib and Gene know about it though.

Apologies for the essay, that’s just what I picked up on from it. :)

This is 100 times better than what the duck series, don't compare rock with gold. I admit this may not be the…
I’m not wading in on this debate, but I can explain why the random third couple was there in What the Duck.

What the Duck 2: Final Call was meant to have two versions, one airing in China (mainland) at the same time as the other one aired in Thailand. The idea is that they followed different sets of characters but that there was some kind of link (common writer/theme?) between them. I don’t quite know all the details on how that worked as I only watched the Thai version. I also don’t know if the Chinese version even got aired in the end, it’s so obscure that I can’t find any additional info.

The ‘random’ third couple comes in because of getting cut in the Chinese version due to censorship laws, and so in order for the story to not go completely to waste, it was crowbarred in to What the Duck 2: Final Call. This is why there is no clear reason or explanation for this plot line.
