Honestly I don’t know. I enjoyed the watch but there was a lack of character development. The ending could have given at least some redemption and development for the female lead, and didn’t. So, I probably would say I liked the show for shallow, surface level reasons.
(These below are not those reasons but rather random character thoughts:)
Pildo - a cliché romance character that lacked depth for me. So I didn’t feel the impact I should have done, his purpose as a character was all too clear from their first meeting.
Giho - the character with the most development, also by far the biggest one as a person. Still human though. Appreciate him.
Gwangjae - I mean he was fun to watch. Made things interesting.
Jiwoo - I’m sorry they didn’t give you real development. Nor a realistic arc of trial and failure.
Okay I’ve seen that edit a few times, and kept being unsure about this show..so here I am, still not having…
Oh wow that’s a lot to look through! Thank you so much ^.^
Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru is one of my favourites, and I’ve also seen The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese, currently watching Sachiiro no One Room too~

Ahh thank you for the heads up, I do also love it when Jdramas are a lot, it’s just a case of waiting until I’m in the mood to watch something that is. Because it’s that feeling from Jdramas when they make everything so grey and so human.
I’d love to hear other recommendations for dark romance too ^.^
I’ll probably start watching this one in a week or so~
https://youtu.be/9ss9pRsMrrAThe video is so good that made me watch this whole drama. The drama is good, actually…
Okay I’ve seen that edit a few times, and kept being unsure about this show..so here I am, still not having watched. Would you recommend it? Also how much heartache am I in for? I love Jdramas with a focus on humanity but it can be a lot at times.
I’m sorry but the music..the choices of classical are absolutely hysterical. I wish shows did this more often. Prokofiev’s Dance of the Nights from Romeo and Juliet is admittedly cracking me up, but also it’s overplayed….
Weird nitpick - I like the choice of using classical but wish pieces chosen were less overplayed..XD
It has time loop and parallel dimension tag.If I am not wrong these tags were not in the original one
Both tags are on the original. Just further down the list, whereas here the tags haven’t been sorted by relevance from votes yet because it hasn’t aired yet.
Thank you SO much for this, if I didn't came across your comment I wouldn't have known there was more after the…
Glad I was of help and you enjoyed <3 I usually leave credits to roll because I like listening to the soundtracks they have, which was pretty lucky here~
Did the main roles end up together? (Happy ending?)
It’s a tad complicated to answer that question, because there’s more to this series. While this part of the series is open ended, it isn’t the end. Overall, the series has a happy ending. But there are two dramas, two short films (optional), and a full length film.
Watch order being: 1. Pornographer (drama) 2. Mood Indigo (drama) 3. Pornographer: Spring Life (short film, optional) 4. Pornographer: Playback (full length film) 5. Pornographer: Continued Spring Life (short film, optional)
It depends how far you’re willing to watch I guess. I personally haven’t watched the short films but I believe they have some cute extra content and bridge between Mood Indigo and Playback. I know it looks like a lot too, but watching everything as it came out it sure didn’t feel like it.
THIS!! The romance is not needed + not believable. With Zoka taking Yuki under her wing and showing him the 'way…
I’m so glad not to be the only one with this frustration. Don’t get me wrong, I like romance shows. But it’s when shows try to crowbar it in where it doesn’t fit that annoys me. It’s like some attempt to draw a romance audience and really not necessary.
Sorry to say it but Zoka is ruining this for me. I have no problem with acting or anything, but it feels like the addition of a female character for the sake of an “oh but I do have depth” love interest. And this show really doesn’t need it. Just having the police officer works for me, rather than this forced inclusion.
I’d be fine with Zoka if she was purely self interested or disliked the main lead, or if she was a male character instead, but it feels a bit contrived how the plot revolves around her more than it does the protagonist, Shinomiya Yuki.
Yes, we needed a character to build the world but please don’t make that character a love interest.
It was cute but nothing special in my opinion. The plot dug its heels in and dragged.. also not my usual genre because if they’re going to need fx, cgi and the like, it’s got to look natural and unintrusive. But still, cute story.
Apparently not. But I had the same surprise upon going to see Parasite in cinemas. It had more than enough to be rated 18+ yet I went to see it with my mother while I was still under 18 myself.
Love both but still shocked they’re both 15+ considering what they are. Strangers from Hell still a favourite.
The way the description says, "She decides to PURCHASE jun as her boyfriend..." Like, are we actually talking…
Yep. This one is on the crazy side. I’m here for Yokohama Ryusei and can’t exactly say it’s my cup of tea.
But Yokohama Ryusei in romcoms? Something I’m looking for too. The one I could suggest is Kizakaru Koi ni wa Riyuu ga Atte. It isn’t listed as a comedy but it’s pretty close to romcom territory. His part is quite fun in it and he’s the male lead.
There’s also L❤️DK. Although I haven’t seen it, I’ve read the manga for that and it’s fun. I know there’s a few others from perusing his profile and I’ll probably work through that gradually.
The reason isn’t super obvious from the synopsis, but it does make sense in the drama. Not quite as random as…
Personally, I like this one. There’s some plot points I’m less keen on but it’s doing well if I put that aside. It’s because I do enjoy dark thrillers that I’m being picky here.
As for the reason he becomes a fugitive, that I don’t have any issue with. It makes sense.
That being said, I’m someone who likes JP dramas. Of course I’m still choosy with them, but it depends why JP dramas are iffy for you I guess.

I feel that with cringe dramas, I don’t do cringe or second hand embarrassment well either 😅
